'Trumpmania' Frenzy and the Predicament of the 2016 GOP Primaries ~ link ~

About six weeks ago, I projected that Trump would win the Republican nomination. That was before the traditional Republican leadership came out of hibernation to spoil Trump’s chances. It was however, a little too late. It’s almost certain now that Trump will end up with the most delegates at the summer convention – although it might not be enough to give him a simple majority to become the outright Republican nominee at the next November election.

The Republican leadership has no one else to blame for the Trumpmania frenzy. The party had cultivated the extreme right wing of the American electorate for more than 30 years. They had pandered to Jerry Farwell’s “Moral Majority,” Newt Gingrich’s Contract with America and Michelle Bachmann’s Tea Party. The Republican leadership was content with the secured right-wing vote for their candidates. They turned unsettled, however, when the extremists’ base posited their own to challenge the traditional leadership.

How many states does Hillary have to lose before the MSM calls it a Losing Streak??? ~ link ~

Remember when Bernie Sanders lost six contests—five in just one day—and nearly every pundit questioned whether or not he should drop out? That week, Bernie’s campaign pressed forward, holding town hall and rallies with voters in Arizona, Idaho and Utah, while Clinton picked up checks from high-dollar donors in Virginia and Tennessee, states that had already voted.

Arizona was the last contest Hillary won, on March 22. Since then, Bernie has won the last seven states: Idaho, Utah, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington and Wyoming, in addition to the votes of Democrats Abroad.

The CIA and the Vatican's Intelligence Apparatus ~ link

Although a papal citation of this sort rarely, if ever, states why a person is inducted into the “Golden Militia,” there can be no doubt that Donovan earned his knighthood by virtue of the services he rendered to the Catholic hierarchy in World War II, during which he served as chief of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the wartime predecessor to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). In 1941, the year before the OSS was officially constituted, Donovan forged a close alliance with Father Felix Morlion, founder of a European Catholic intelligence service known as Pro Deo. When the Germans overran western Europe, Donovan helped Morlion move his base of operations from Lisbon to New York. From then on, Pro Deo was financed by Donovan, who believed that such an expenditure would result in valuable insight into the secret affairs of the Vatican, then a neutral enclave in the midst of fascist Rome. When the Allies liberated Rome in 1944, Morlion re-established his spy network in the Vatican; from there he helped the OSS obtain confidential reports provided by apostolic delegates in the Far East, which included information about strategic bombing targets in Japan.
