US Syrian "strategy" a Failure ~ link ~ The self-described US Government official "strategy" (ONLY FOR THE PUBLIC ~ NOT THE REAL STRATEGY) is ALL BULLSHIT! Stirling
The United States is considering a major overhaul of its failed efforts to train militants in Syria purportedly to fight Daesh Takfiri terrorists, looking for alternatives to prevent the program from totally collapsing.
Citing US defense officials, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that the Pentagon proposed a plan to supplant the $500 million “train-and-equip” program with a more modest effort. The proposal would focus on creating specially-trained militants empowered to direct US airstrikes, according to the officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Syria goes on the Offensive, deploying new Russian weapons and bombing the ISIS 'capital' ~ link ~ Also see ~ link ~
Now that Moscow has officially confirmed that Russian boots are on the ground at Latakia and that the Kremlin is actively ramping up its technical and logistical support for the Assad regime, one point we've been keen to drive home is that rebels, "freedom fighters", and marauding, black flag-waving jihadists alike will now have a much tougher time routing government forces and taking control of the country.
After all, battling Assad's depleted army (which is effectively fighting a three-front war with limited resources) is one thing, but fighting Russian special forces is entirely another, which is of course why the US is so "concerned" about the Russian presence in Syria. Put simply: if the Kremlin doesn't want Assad to fall, then Assad will probably not fall if the only challenge comes from various ragtag militias and Islamic militant groups. That calculus obviously changes if the challenge suddenly comes from a US-backed coalition consisting of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, France, Britain, Jordan, and Qatar.
Israel to order its military snipers to shot Palestinian children throwing rocks ~ link ~
Israel’s Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein has authorized the use of sniper fire by Israeli military forces against Palestinian stone-throwers in al-Quds (Jerusalem).
On Thursday, Weinstein approved Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to change the rules of engagement and declare "war against stone-throwers and firebomb throwers" in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The top Israeli legal official also approved the arrest of minors and children under the age of 10 and 5 who throw stones, in addition to a fine of up to 100,000 Israeli shekels (about US $26,000).
Aida Touma-Sliman, an Israeli lawmaker for the Joint Arab List, accused the Israeli prime minister of "people hunting," saying, "Netanyahu is apparently looking for a judicial license to kill and to murder.”
Ann Coulter openly confronts Jewish Supremacy in the West ~ link ~ link ~
Conservative pundit, author, and professional anti-illegal immigration activist Ann Coulter (follow her on Twitter) has done the unthinkable: she openly questioned why the vast majority of the GOP candidates for president shill so hard for Israel. Most of the GOP candidates openly put the interests of Israel ahead of the interests of their own country. How is this acceptable?
Syria makes formal complaint to United Nations over illegal western airstrikes ~ link ~
The ministry made the complaint on Thursday in two identical letters addressed to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Vitaly Churkin, the current president of the Security Council and the Russian ambassador to the world body.
The letters denounced the measures taken by the three Western countries, noting that the airstrikes “grossly" contravene Article 51 of the UN Charter that stipulates, “Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defense if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security.”
It was said in the letters that any armed presence of foreign countries on the Syrian land under the pretext of fighting terrorism without the Damascus government’s approval would be a violation of the Middle Eastern country’s sovereignty.

Russia's 'LINE IN THE SAND': NO Regime Change in Syria ~ link ~
So it’s up to Obama really. He can either seek a peaceful solution along the lines that Moscow has recommended or push for regime change and risk a confrontation with Russia. Those are the two choices.
Unfortunately, Washington doesn’t have an “off” switch anymore, so changing policy is really not in the cards. Instead, the US war machine will continue to lumber ahead erratically until it hits an impasse and sputters to a halt. Once again, the immovable object will prevail over the unstoppable force (as it did in Ukraine), albeit at great cost to the battered people of Syria, their nation and the entire region.
OPEC, Russia and the New World Order Emerging ~ link ~ There are rumors and limited evidence of major Earth-changing geopolitical moves either going on or being discussed at high levels. These include the split between the German Chancellor and the Leader of her party (he feels that Germany should join with Russia and Iran in defending Syria). Also proposals between Russia and Saudi Arabia, etc. Time will tell what the future holds. Stirling
By the day it’s becoming clearer that what I have recently been saying in my writings is coming to be. The OPEC oil-producing states of the Middle East, including Iran, through the skillful mediation of Russia, are carefully laying the foundations for a truly new world order.
The first step in testing this will be if they collectively succeed in eliminating the threat to Syria of the Islamic State, and prepare the basis for serious, non-manipulated elections there.
$100 million dollar/each militants ~ link ~ You simply cannot make such crap up! Stirling
The chief of the US military campaign in Iraq and Syria has acknowledged that the $500 million Pentagon program to “train and equip” militants in Syria has so far yielded only “four or five” fighters.
The remarks by Army Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, head of US Central Command, before a Senate panel on Wednesday set off a wave of criticism from congressional lawmakers, who are wary of the Obama administration’s strategy towards the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group.
War is the Health of the State - Protect yourself from Financial Tyranny ~ link ~
Our current monetary system is the root cause of many evils of today. Let’s take war, a topic we discussed in this article, as an example. Without a monetary system that creates currency out of thin air, most of the wars that we have had and still have would simply not be financeable. This system is controlled by a few, who change the rules to their own benefit. And as we have seen they use their privileges to finance wars and to bribe politicians.
By holding your wealth in precious metals you are rejecting the current system and also protecting yourself from “financial tyranny”. This includes: capital controls, expropriation, bail-ins, bailouts, negative interest rates, market manipulation on a wide scale and massive paper currency fluctuations. The jurisdiction where you keep your precious metals is also essential in my view. I personally feel safe having my metals stored in Switzerland, a neutral country that doesn’t intervene in international affairs.
Forecasting that there is an 80 percent chance of an extended drought in the area between 2050 and 2099 unless aggressive steps are taken to mitigate the impacts of climate change, the researchers said their results point to a challenging - and remarkably drier - future.
As Reuters reports, scientists from NASA and Cornell and Columbia universities warned earlier this year that the U.S. Southwest and Central Plains regions are likely to be scorched by a decades-long "megadrought" during the second half of this century if climate change continues unabated.
