Two factors are at work: Languishing demand for Chinese manufactured goods around the world; and a growing oversupply of ships to transport these containers (given the languishing demand), which has turned into a price war, with the largest carriers hoping to push the smaller ones out of business [Top Carriers Wage Price War to Form Global Shipping Oligopoly].

F-35B's reliability found wanting in on-board testing ~ link ~
The Marine Corps’ version of Lockheed Martin Corp.’s F-35 fighter demonstrated poor reliability in a 12-day exercise at sea, according to the U.S. military’s top testing officer.
Six F-35Bs, the most complex version of the Pentagon’s costliest weapons system, were available for flights only half of the time needed, Michael Gilmore, the Defense Department’s director of operational testing, said in a memo obtained by Bloomberg News. A Marine Corps spokesman said the readiness rate was more than 65 percent.

Could Trump win the Presidency? ~ link ~ If he is real, it is very doubtful considering the computer based voting used in most of America! Further, if the real powers that be see him as a threat and all else fails they will NOT hesitate to kill him, just like JFK, RFK, JFK Jr., etc. Stirling
Trump boasts that he will get the job done, as he gets done all other jobs he has undertaken. And his poll ratings are one measure of how far out of touch the Republican establishment is with the Republican heartland.
When Trump ridicules his rivals as Lilliputians and mocks the celebrity media, the Republican base cheers and laughs with him. He is boastful, brash, defiant, unapologetic, loves campaigning, and is putting on a great show with his Trump planes and 100-foot-long stretch limos. “Every man a king but no man wears a crown,” said Huey Long. “I’m gonna make America great again,” says Donald.
Compared to Trump, all the other candidates, including Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush, are boring. He makes politics entertaining, fun.
Toys 'R' Us in trouble ~ link ~
Just two years after Toy'R'Us attempted (and failed) to IPO, Bloomberg reports that insurance companies are cutting back on their coverage of the firm's suppliers. Without this 'insurance', which protects suppliers in case a retailer fails to pay them for merchandise - as in the event of a bankruptcy - the risks of shipping to the retail chain soar.
The company’s $450 million 10.375 percent of senior unsecured bonds maturing August 2017 fell 11.5 cents to 71.1 cents on the dollar...
Doctors flee Greece - Retail sales plunge 70% - Economy faces TOTAL COLLAPSE ~ link ~
At the time, a report from the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Enterprises showed that 60 businesses closed and 613 jobs were lost for each business day that the crisis persisted without a resolution.
Since then, things have deteriorated further and indeed, with the imposition of capital controls, businesses found that supplier credit was difficult to come by, leading to the very real possibility that Greece would soon face a shortage of imported goods, something many Greeks clearly anticipated in the wake of the referendum call as evidenced by the lines at gas stations and empty shelves at grocery stores.
Greece: Looking at Iceland with considerable envy ~ link ~
So there you have it a contraction of 25% caused by a group of people who claimed that the alternative would collapse the economy! They should be in court, but in an era of rewards for failure one of them now heads the IMF (International Monetary Fund). For newer readers 2012 has been picked out because that was the year according to what was called the troika and is now called the institutions that things could only get better.
If we look for comparisons then Greece is now in a worse situation than the United States was in at a comparable time in the Great Depression which began in 1929. Will there be an equivalent of The Grapes Of Wrath? The reason for the difference is that the United States saw a steep fall followed by a recovery. Where Greece is still falling.
President Putin: 'Europe should be more independent and defend own interests' ~ link ~
European countries should be less beholden to military blocks and the US when considering issues concerning their own national interests, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the Swiss RTS TV channel. Putin also talked FIFA scandal and Islamic terrorism.
“It would be great to see Europe show more independence and sovereignty, and the ability to stand up for its national interests – the interests of its peoples and countries,” Putin said in an interview with RTS published on Monday. He added that he “hopes” another war in Europe is not in the cards.
GcMAF: 3 days before Dr. Bradstreet was found dead in a river - US Government raided his research facility to seize a breakthrough cancer treatment ~ link ~ link ~ Do take a minute to read all of this one at the link! Stirling
The history of the suppression of medical science in America is a long one, filled with true accounts of pioneering doctors and clinicians being threatened, intimidated and even assassinated in order to bury emerging cures and keep the "sick care" industry in control. (The American Medical Association, for example, has been found guilty by the U.S. federal courts of a conspiracy to destroy the chiropractic industry, by the way.)
Over the last few days, we've learned that before being found shot in the chest and floating in the river, pioneering medical researcher Dr. Bradstreet was working with a little-known molecule that occurs naturally in the human body. Called, "GcMAF", this molecule has the potential to be a universal cancer cure for many people. It has also been shown to reverse signs of autism in the vast majority of patients receiving the treatment.
FDA: The new 'Murder Inc.' ~ link ~ The medical field, most especially in America, is symptomatic of the absolute corruption and total evil that has taken over the USA and much of the world!!! Stirling
Earlier this year the fast food giant announced the closing of 350 underperforming locations, but recently admitted it had to close an additional 350 restaurants in the U.S., Japan, and China. The closings include both franchises and company-owned locations.
