On the Road to the Third World War

Armageddon also means that the Second Coming of Christ is near

IDF is calling up hundreds of thousands for "war drills" ~ link ~ This is unusual even for Israel.  There are three main possibilities: (1) This is NOT a drill and a really major all-out General Middle East War is about to break out; (2) The all-out war is not imminent but near and this is a drill to prepare for a near-term massive all-out General Middle East War; (3) This is just a drill that is 'over the top' compared to past drills.  Stirling
Large-scale military drills have been launched in Israel with the aim of testing the IDF’s readiness to go into emergency mode. Hundreds of thousands of reserve soldiers are involved in testing the system. They will all be receiving a telephone call to confirm everything is in working order, according to the General Staff’s plan for the drills, set to last for three days. Thousands of others will be summoned to bases on short notice, according to the Jerusalem Post. An IDF source told the newspaper that this is “one of the largest telephone call-ups we’ve had in an exercise.”

The Air Force, with its bases, and other facilities will also take part in the call-up. Among other activities, base personnel will be carrying out emergency intelligence data analysis for the purpose of conducting airstrikes. The same goes for the Israeli Navy and their infrastructure.

The IDF warns the Monday-Wednesday period will be marked by increased military activity, which will take in public places such as schools. Several cities around the country will be affected, including Tel Aviv and the central locations there.

Israeli forces assault Palestinian prisoners in Nafha jail ~ link

Israeli troops have raided a detention facility in southern occupied territories, assaulted dozens of Palestinian inmates and then forcibly transferred many of them to other sections of the jail.

The development came a day after Palestinian media outlets reported that the Israeli regime is currently holding 391 Palestinians in administrative detention, a two-fold increase compared to similar figures released in the summer of 2014.

Turkey summons NATO emergency session amid air war campaign over Syria ~ link
Ankara sent bombers on a mission for a second night on Sunday to annihilate logistics positions, warehouses, barracks and PKK bases in northern Iraq. Ankara has claimed it is retaliation for PKK attacks against security forces and police last week. The country has subsequently called a NATO meeting to discuss its security concerns not only about Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) but the PKK as well.

Four Turkish F-16 fighters took off from the Diyarbakir air base and hit PKK targets in Hakurk in northern Iraq, the sources told Reuters. Local media reports confirmed the airstrikes.“At around 9:00pm (6:00pm GMT), Turkish planes started bombing some of our positions in two areas [north of Dohuk and north of Arbil]”, a spokesman for the PKK in Iraq, Bakhtiar Dogan, told AFP.

Some media reports claim that around 50 PKK camps were struck in three separate air operations and up to 300 bombs were dropped on PKK positions.

Turkey and USA planning "Buffer Zone" inside of Syria ~ link
Efforts by the US and Turkey to set up a buffer zone in northern Syria were revealed by unnamed officials interviewed by US media. Under the agreement being reportedly finalised, the militants would be removed from a 68-mile (109km) stretch west of the Euphrates River, according to the Washington Post.

Such a deal would significantly increase the scope of the US-led air war against IS in northern Syria, the paper says.
