Yemen War: Saudi Arabia shoots down a Yemeni Scud missile ~ link

Saudi Arabia has shot down a Scud missile fired from across the border by Yemen's Houthi rebels and its allies, the state Saudi Press Agency says. It was intercepted by a Patriot missile battery near the south-western city of Khamis Mushait in the morning.

On Friday, four Saudi soldiers and many Yemeni rebels died in fighting on the border, the Saudi-led coalition says.

USAF deploys long-range nuclear B-52 bombers to Baltic Sea War Games ~ link ~ Hardly a day goes by anymore without a fresh Globalist and/or Zionist provocation on the 'Road to World War III'.  Stirling

“The deployment demonstrates the United States’ ability to project its flexible, long-range global strike capability,” the US Strategic Command said in a statement on Friday.

Scores of ships and aircraft from 17 countries are participating in Baltic Sea naval drills as part of exercise BALTOPS, which began on Friday and will run through June 20. Overall, 5,600 troops, 49 ships, 61 aircraft and a submarine will be involved in the US-led military exercises.

Putin tells West not to fear Russia ~ link ~ Anyone with half a brain knows that it is not Russia that is the aggressor in today's crazy world!  Stirling

Putin: "Russia would attack NATO only in a mad person's dream" ~ link

Russia is not building up its offensive military capabilities overseas and is only responding to security threats caused by US and NATO military expansion on its borders, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Italian outlet Il Corriere della Sera.

Speaking to the paper on the eve of his visit to Italy, Putin stressed that one should not take the ongoing “Russian aggression” scaremongering in the West seriously, as a global military conflict is unimaginable in the modern world. “I think that only an insane person and only in a dream can imagine that Russia would suddenly attack NATO. I think some countries are simply taking advantage of people’s fears with regard to Russia. They just want to play the role of front-line countries that should receive some supplementary military, economic, financial or some other aid,” Putin said.

Hopeful Snowden says "The Balance of Power is Beginning to Shift ~ link

It has been two years ago since Edward Snowden released to the world a trove of proof that the NSA, the US' top spy organization, had been focused as much on spying on its own people as on threats from abroad, in the process crushing countless constitutional civil and personal liberties. For his whistleblowing efforts, he was forced into self-appointed exile in Russia to avoid a lengthy prison sentence in the US.

Which is ironic, because on June 2, with the passage of the "Freedom Act" (which actually is an acronym for Uniting and Strengthening America by Fulfilling Rights and Ending Eavesdropping, Dragnet-collection and Online Monitoring Act), the NSA's recording of US electronic communications officially ended, in effect validating Snowden's efforts at halting the US conversion into a totalitarian police state.

In reality NSA surveillance did not really end: bulk collection of Americans' metadata is still allowed by phone companies, which is then accessible by the NSA. According to skeptics this makes intrusion into US private lives even more deliberate as private corporations are not subject to FOIA requests or government intervention: in effect Obama has washed his hands of all supervision over data collection even as the NSA still has full access to everything it could ever ask for (it is unclear why the massive NSA spy facility in Bluffdale, Utah will continue existing if the NSA is no longer allowed to intercept and record data)

Bruce Jenner: Neither Man Nor Woman ~ link ~

The Identification with the physical body has driven mankind to such madness that this poor misguided soul, who for some subconscious reason, wanted to be a female, was misled to mutilate his male organs and change his physical form rather than to resolve his subconscious mind’s need.

This poor man has mutilated himself hoping that this outward change would end his problem. Jenner was quoted as saying, “if I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen.”

But he knows that he IS NOT A WOMAN and that he never dealt with himself –he knows, better than anyone.

Who pays taxes in America - Everyone but the Super-Rich ~ link

Why are our seniors paying higher taxes on their social security benefits than billionaires pay on stocks?

The IRS released a new report that reveals the staggering amount of money that the top one-thousandth of the 1% in the US is hoarding. While the top earners in the bottom 50 percent of Americans only make 36,000 dollars a year - the bottom earners in the top one-thousandth of the 1% "only make" more than 62 million dollars a year.

40% of American workers now earn less than 1968 Minimum Wage ~ link

Are American workers paid enough? That is a topic that is endlessly debated all across this great land of ours.

Unfortunately, what pretty much everyone can agree on is that American workers are not making as much as they used to after you account for inflation. Back in 1968, the minimum wage in the United States was $1.60 an hour. That sounds very small, but after you account for inflation a very different picture emerges. Using the inflation calculator that the Bureau of Labor Statistics provides, $1.60 in 1968 is equivalent to $10.74 today.

And of course the official government inflation numbers have been heavily manipulated to make inflation look much lower than it actually is, so the number for today should actually be substantially higher than $10.74, but for purposes of this article we will use $10.74. If you were to work a full-time job at $10.74 an hour for a full year (with two weeks off for vacation), you would make about $21,480 for the year.

On the subject of unjustified taxes, some research which started in the US is attracting interest in the UK, See this article about the "Section 151 Officer":
