Syrian Kurds take back Tal Abyad ~ link
Syrian Kurdish fighters say they have taken control of the Islamic State-held town of Tal Abyad, cutting off a major supply route for the jihadist group.

Reinforcements are being sent by the Kurdish Popular Protection Units (YPG) to help secure the main road south to Islamic State's headquarters at Raqqa.

EU's strategy will deepen Mediterranean tragedies ~ link

According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), between 23,000 and 24,000 migrants had tried to cross over to Italy since the beginning of the year, while just under 21,000 migrants made the same journey between January and April 2014. While the number of migrants rose to some extent, migrants perishing at sea have hit the roof.

Things are bound to get worse before getting better. It is estimated that in 2015, between 500,000 and one million refugees will cross the Mediterranean and land in the European Union. So far some 1,600 people have died during crossing. These figures are the known cases, many more having died in undetected vessels. The numbers are on the rise. In 2011, 58,000 people tried to enter the EU across the waters, while the figure grew to 218,000 in 2014.

American warplanes strike Iraqi Army position and US delivers weapons to ISIS terrorists ~ link

Fighter jets of the US-led coalition once again struck the Iraqi forces in the Western province of Anbar on Saturday.
The US-led coalition warplanes hit a position of the Iraqi army in Anbar province. The US has repeatedly struck the popular forces’ positions in different parts of Iraq.

In the emerging Multi-Polar World Order the East must provide an Alternative to Western Hegemony - NOT an Replacement ~ link

This multi-polar world order stands in contrast to the unipolar order the West has sought to impose for decades after the end of the World Wars and is a continuation of Western imperialism carried out by the British and other European empires during the decline of the Ottoman Empire.

But is what the East doing truly building an alternative to the West’s brand of hegemonic imperialism? Or is it simply more of the same under a different label? More over, is the West’s behavior coaxing other nations to unify under a singular, consolidated banner, only to be rolled under the West’s vision of an international order ruled from Washington, Wall Street, London and Brussels?

These are questions that must be asked and explored particularly by the people who gravitate toward the East the most. They understand the threat of Western hegemony and the very real damage it has and still is inflicting upon humanity. From the devastation of Iraq and Afghanistan, to the wars raging in Yemen, Syria and Libya, Western designs have taken unstable tinderboxes around the globe and turned them into raging infernos.

Syrian War on CIA backed mercenaries continues ~ link
Units of the army and the armed forces on Monday continued to launch wide-scale military operations against the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, killing scores of them and destroying their dens and ammunition

Are the Americans and the Albanians now deciding the Macedonian Question? ~ link
Beyond the immediate reasons which led the United States to launch a destabilization operation in Macedonia last month, Senator Elena Guskova noted Washington’s strategy for thirty years in the Balkans. To the famous historian, the US wants to end by all means with the Russian influence in the region, even separating the populations and destroying all existing States

Russian Military Presence in Vietnam ~ link
The renewed Russian presence in Vietnam has predictably set the alarm bells ringing in the Pentagon, with the Commander of the US Army in the Pacific confirming that Russian strategic bombers circling the massive American military base in Guam are being refuelled at Cam Ranh Bay.

Although the Vietnamese consider the US an increasingly important partner in Southeast Asia, it’s Russia that tops the pecking order. A per an agreement inked in November 2014, Russian warships visiting the deep water port of Cam Ranh only have to give prior notice to the Vietnamese authorities before steaming in whereas all other foreign navies are limited to just one annual ship visit to Vietnamese ports.

Located at the gateway to the Indian and Pacific Oceans, Vietnam is of critical importance to Russia. Permanent basing of air and naval assets in Vietnam helps the Russian Pacific Fleet solve its problem of having to pass through the narrow straits of the Sea of Japan to gain access to the Pacific.

IMF Double Standard - Greece and the Ukraine ~ link

Despite the grievous state of the Ukrainian economy, the IMF said it will continue to lend money to Ukraine, so Kiev can complete economic restructuring.  “In the event that a negotiated settlement with private creditors is not reached and the country determines that it cannot service its debt, the Fund can lend to Ukraine consistent with its Lending-into-Arrears Policy,” IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said.

Senator Rand Paul is correct: Release the 28 pages and Expose 9/11 ~ link ~

Barry argues that the push to declassify the redacted 28 pages of the Joint Congressional 9/11 Inquiry is not a “blame the Saudis” limited hang-out, but a pry-bar that could open the whole 9/11 can of worms – and expose the real perpetrators: the Bush crime family and the neocon-Likudniks...

So this would not only implicate Saudi Arabia in arranging the patsies for the fake hijackings – there were actually no real hijackings on September 11 – but it would start a process of inquiry that might lead to solving the crime. This would shake up the power structure here in the United States completely because 9/11 was actually a very complex coup d’état. As a top-level CIA official told a friend of Robert Baer’s… he relates this at the end of his book See No Evil, which was published in 2002… top-ranking CIA official said that “When the dust finally clears, Americans will see that September 11 was a triumph for the intelligence community, not a failure.” What could that possibly mean? Well, it was a triumph in the sense that it was the most logistically complex false flag attack ever attempted and the Saudis who are very close with elements of the American deep state that pulled off September 11 along with the Israelis are going to be the first people blamed when these 28 pages are finally released, but they won’t be the last

Turkey: Nearing the End of the Erdogan System ~ link

The results of the Turkish legislative elections not only pose a threat to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s personal projects, since he already viewed himself as the new Sultan, but the very power of his party, the AKP. Each of the three other parties (MHP conservatives, CHP socialists and HPD left-wingers) made it clear that they refused to form a coalition government with him, and preferred, on the contrary, to form a coalition between themselves. In case they were unable to reach an agreement within 45 days, they would give the socialists the job of forming a governmental coalition - an option already rejected by the AKP – or else to convene a new round of legislative elections.

This scenario still seems improbable, just as the election results seemed impossible to almost all political commentators until the ballot of the 7th June. However, by signing, on the 1st December 2014, an economic agreement with Vladimir Putin which would enable Russia to circumvent the European Union sanctions (Turkish Stream), Mr. Erdoğan defied the implicit rules of NATO. By doing so, he has become a public enemy both for Washington and Brussels. As a result, the United States have secretly used their influence during the electoral campaign to make make the downfall of the AKP possible.

The South Asia Nuclear Equation ~ link
For 15 years, since its inception in February 2000, General Khalid Kidwai served as Director General of Pakistan’s Strategic Plans Division. Now an adviser to Pakistan’s National Command Authority, Kidwai was a speaker at the recent biennial Carnegie Nuclear Policy Conference. Offering a glimpse into Pakistan’s strategic thinking, he explained Pakistan’s shift from a strategy of “minimum credible deterrence” to “full spectrum deterrence.” During his talk, Kidwai justified Pakistan’s induction of battlefield nuclear weapons with operational ranges as low as 60 kilometers on the pretext of a non-existent “Cold Start” doctrine.

Kidwai’s remarks have re-opened the debate over South Asia’s nuclear stability. A Stimson Center essay by Jeffrey McCausland has expanded on the dangers of Pakistan incorporating tactical nuclear weapons (TNWs). For instance, Pakistan’s Army would have to use this weapon early in any battle, lest the conventionally superior Indian forces intrude deep into Pakistani territory and foreclose on the option of deploying TNWs. Moreover, Pakistan’s forces would have to ensure a concentration of Indian troops in the target area so that the damage inflicted can justify the use of a nuclear weapon. In general, command and control of tactical nuclear weapons can also be tricky in the heat of conventional battle.

Meanwhile, India’s doctrine allows it to retaliate with a massive nuclear strike to inflict unacceptable damage even in response to a “small” nuclear attack. Whether India would elect to exercise this option or not is another matter.

The modern American food supply is a tortuous minefield of synthetic additives, toxic flavoring agents and artificially engineered ingredients that are making people sick. And the following eight food corporations, rounded out by the world's most evil corporation Monsanto, are among the worst offenders when it comes to not only using these poisons in their products but also lying about their presence to consumers.
