The Western Alliance is starting to fray, over the insistence by Barack Obama and the U.S. Congress to go to war against Russia. This is called a ‘new cold war,’ but it’s actually already a hot war within Ukraine, immediately next door to Russia.
Russia has adopted an updated version of its military doctrine, which reflects the emergence of new threats against its national security. NATO military buildup and American Prompt Global Strike concept are listed among them.
The new doctrine was approved on Friday by President Vladimir Putin. Its core remains unchanged from the previous version. The Russian military remains a defensive tool which the country pledges to use only as a last resort.
Also unchanged are the principles of the use of nuclear weapons which Russia adheres to. Their primary goal is to deter potential enemies from attacking Russia, but it would use them to protect itself from a military attack – either nuclear or conventional – threatening its existence.
"War in Europe Again? Not in Our Names" ~ link ~
Two weeks ago, as the S&P was preparing to surge on the latest round of all time high market-goosing algo trickery by the FOMC, 60 prominent German personalities from the realms of politics, economics, culture and the media were less concerned with blinking red and green stock quotes and were focused on something far more serious to the future of the world: the threat of war with Russia.
In a letter published by Die Zeit, numerous famous and respected Germans including a former president and former prime minister write "Wieder Krieg in Europa? Nicht in unserem Namen!", or, roughly translated, "War in Europe Again? Not in Our Names!"
The open letter to the German government, parliament, and media, excerpted here, was signed by more than 60 prominent German personalities and published in the weekly Die Zeit on Dec. 5. The initiators were Horst Teltschik (CDU), advisor to then-Chancellor Helmut Kohl at the time German of reunification; Walther Stützle (SPD), former Secretary of State for the Ministry of Defense; and Antje Vollmer (Greens), former Bundestag Vice President. Teltschik said, in motivating the appeal, “We are giving a political signal that the justified criticism of Russia’s Ukraine policy should not wipe out all the progress that we have made in the past 25 years in relations with Russia.”
Syrian refugees in Lebanon facing biting cold winter ~ link ~ More evil directed against the innocent by Netanyahu and his racist Zionists and the Globalists!!! Stirling
Tens of thousands of Syrians, who have taken refuge in al-Saadiyeh, a village in the eastern Bekaa Valley, are reportedly inadequately equipped to cope with the cold.
"This is our first winter here. We really didn't expect it to be so cold," Abu Ali, a sixty-year-old Syrian refugee said, adding, "We have no sobia [a kind of stove], nothing to heat us up."
According to the United Nations, over half of the 1.1 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon are living in substandard housing.

Israel to build 600 new settlements in West Bank ~ link ~ There will never be peace in the Mideast as long as the Zionists continue to steal land from the Arabs!!! Stirling
Israeli authorities have approved the building of at least 623 settlements on the West Bank in the space of just one week. The decision comes amid growing tensions in the region ahead of a planned UN vote on Palestine’s statehood.
On Thursday, Israel gave the green light to the construction of 243 new homes in Ramot in East Jerusalem, West Bank, a municipal spokeswoman said. The country also approved amendments to existing projects for 270 homes in the same area and in the neighborhoods of Har Homa.
Earlier on Wednesday, Jerusalem City Council approved the construction of 380 new settlements in two districts of the city and in its southern part, including annexed areas beyond the Green Line.

US sends second major missile radar system to Japan ~ link ~ This is designed to tie Japan into WWIII from the 'get go'!!! Stirling
The US Department of Defense and Japanese Ministry of Defense announced Friday the deployment of the new Army Navy/Transportable Radar Surveillance system (AN/TPY-2) in Japan.
The radar system aims to "enhance sensor coverage for ballistic missile defense of Japan and the US homeland," the Pentagon said in a statement, AFP reports.
Joints Chief of Staff vice-chairman James Winnefeld said earlier this year that the US was focused on “developing regional ballistic missile defense systems" that would "result in better performance than individual countries acting alone."
Russian 'Nuke Trains' with up to 30 Yars ICBMs coming ~ link ~ Already a large percentage of the land-based Russian nuclear missile force is mobile (using very large truck/launchers), making them very hard to hit. Stirling
A ‘nuclear train’ – properly called BZhRK, short for ‘combat railway missile complex’ in Russian – is a mobile platform for transporting and launching strategic nuclear missiles. Similarly to nuclear submarines, such trains are hard to wipe out in a preemptive strike because of their mobility and ability to be disguised as regular freight trains.
The Soviet Union had 12 such nuclear trains, each carrying three RT-23 Molodets (SS-24 Scalpel in NATO disambiguation) missiles, but they were released from combat duty after Russia and the US signed the START-2 treaty in 1993 and eventually decommissioned.
Last year the Russian military said that nuclear trains – which are no longer banned under the New START treaty – would be revived.

'Noah's Ark': Russia is to build world's first DNA databank of all living things ~ link ~
Not quite the Biblical Noah’s Ark, but possibly the next best thing. Moscow State University has secured Russia’s largest-ever scientific grant to collect the DNA of every living and extinct creature for the world’s first database of its kind.
“I call the project ‘Noah’s Ark.’ It will involve the creation of a depository – a databank for the storing of every living thing on Earth, including not only living, but disappearing and extinct organisms. This is the challenge we have set for ourselves,” MSU rector Viktor Sadivnichy told journalists.
The gigantic ‘ark’, set to be completed by 2018, will be 430 sq km in size, built at one of the university’s central campuses.
