Breaking News

Israeli troops mass outside Gaza Strip as violence escalates further - Israel has begun calling up its IDF reserves ~ link ~ It is NOT an accident that dear old Bibi 666 Netanyahu has chosen to begin a war against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank at this moment in time. The goal is to wrap a massive new war against the Arabs by Israel into the chaos of an inter-Muslim War in Syria/Iraq/Iran while Russia is tied down in a war in the Ukraine that will likely morph into a NATO vs Russia nightmare!!!  Stirling
An already tense situation is escalating in Israel’s south and in Gaza, where a four-year-old was reported wounded in an Israeli air strike on Monday afternoon

Hamas launches rocket barrage deep into Israel ~ link

According to reports, the attack late on Monday triggered Code Red sirens in central Israel for the first time in the current escalation

The Israeli army also confirmed that “several barrages” of rockets have been fired into southern Israel in just a few minutes. Media reports, however, said that some forty rockets were fired. Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has claimed responsibility for the rocket fire. Unconfirmed reports said that at least one rocket has hit a building in the city of Ashdod, leaving one person injured.
Israeli warplanes have already conducted several air attacks in central and southern Gaza since Friday.

Israel launches fresh airstrikes on Gaza ~ link ~

Israeli warplanes carried out at least four airstrikes on northern part of the coastal enclave on Monday evening.
Initial reports say a four-year-old boy has been injured after the warplanes targeted a residential area.

Israeli warplanes also targeted Gaza International Airport in Rafah with over a dozen bombs. Sources say the airport has been completely destroyed.

The latest attacks follow days of intensified aggression against the impoverished territory. Israeli warplanes have already conducted several air attacks in central and southern Gaza since Friday.

Israel is denying Hamas deaths and preparing for large escalation ~ link
Hamas's armed wing said five of its members were killed in air strikes in the southern Gaza town of Rafah, at the Egyptian border Monday. The group had said six men had died, but one was later found to be alive, seriously wounded, under rubble.

Israeli aircraft also attacked in northern Gaza, killing one Hamas fighter, the group said.

Hamas vows revenge on Israel after multiple Israel air strikes ~ link
Israel said it carried out air strikes on at least "14 terror sites" including "concealed rocket launchers" in Gaza overnight in retaliation for a recent spike in attacks from Gaza.
About a dozen rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza overnight, the military said. One injured a soldier. It also said there had been 25 rockets fired at Israel during the day on Sunday.

Israel calling up reserves ~ link ~ Also see ~ link ~

Israel called up reserve troops on Monday for a possible escalation of hostilities with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip where Hamas said six of its fighters were killed by air strikes, something Israel denied.

Palestinian militants kept up their now-daily rocket launchings into Israel as pressure mounted from hardliners in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition for tougher action against Hamas, the dominant force in the Gaza enclave.

Five Palestinians killed by armed Israeli drones ~ link
Five Palestinians were killed by Israeli drone strikes on Gaza, medics said Monday, after militants fired dozens of rockets at southern Israel.

Israeli suspects admit killing Palestinian teenager ~ link ~ The confessions come as violence continued on Israel's volatile front with the Gaza Strip. Palestinian militants bombarded Israel with some 40 rockets and mortars, drawing Israeli airstrikes in retaliation, and at least eight Palestinian militants were killed.

As Israel pressed ahead with a mobilisation of forces along the Gaza border, the Hamas militant group vowed revenge, saying "the enemy will pay a tremendous price".

As Israeli airstrikes kill nine in Gaza, Hamas vows retaliation ~ link
The Islamic militant group Hamas has threatened to retaliate for the Israeli airstrikes which have killed nine insurgents in the Gaza Strip region.

The Palestine-based outfit said Israel will pay the price for the attack: "This is a grave escalation and the enemy will pay the price," Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri wrote on Facebook.

Gazans hold mass funeral for Israel air strike victim ~ link ~
Thousands of Palestinian mourners in the besieged Gaza Strip have held a funeral for a resistance fighter who was killed in an Israeli killer drone strike.

This comes as at least seven Palestinians have been killed and several others injured in a series of Israeli air and ground attacks over the past 24 hours.

Iraqi leader Maliki seeks to discard USA for Russia and Iran ~ link

Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is reportedly considering plans to abrogate the country’s security deal with the US and establish closer links with Iran and Russia.

The Sunday Times cited sources close to Maliki on Sunday that the Iraqi premier is likely to cancel Iraq’s Strategic Framework Agreement (SFA) with the US due to Washington’s lack of support in the face of the aggression by the Takfiri ISIL terrorists.

Iraq delays key parliament session as fightback falters ~ link ~ Also see ~ link ~ link ~ link ~ link ~
A crucial parliament session kickstarting the government formation process was delayed and an Iraqi general was killed Monday as solutions to the country's worst crisis in years appeared increasingly distant.

The developments highlighted bickering among political leaders despite calls for unity to see off a jihadist-led offensive that has overrun swathes of territory and which the security forces have struggled to repel.

Is it Curtains for Ukraine's Pro-Russian forces?  Junta's army moves to attack final eastern cities ~ link ~ I do not believe that Putin will allow the offensive to progress much more.  If he allows the genocide that the Rand Corporation has proposed that the Junta undertakes in eastern Ukraine, his remaining life is apt to be very short lived.  His own people and generals will take him out.  What is happening, is he is delaying as long as possible before jumping into the battle ... and the Third World War ... that is being forced on him.   Stirling
"There is a clear strategic plan, which has been approved. These cities will be completely blockaded. These measures will result in the separatists - let us call them bandits - being forced to lay down arms."

So far, Russia has yet to indicate it will intervene to stop the blockade of the cities, which have a combined population of 2.5m. "I'm very disappointed," Fedor Berezin, the rebel forces' deputy defence minister told the Wall Street Journal. "That means it will be a long and bloody war until we all die valiantly on the barricades."

Pushed from Slaviansk, Ukraine militia barricades Donetsk ~ link

Pro-Russian rebels erected new barricades on the streets of Donetsk on Monday, preparing to make a stand in the city of a million people after losing their bastion in the town of Slaviansk in the worst defeat of their three-month uprising.

Occasional bursts of gunfire could be heard in the distance from the centre of Donetsk, where residents said they were now living in fear of a potential battle between government forces and the separatist gunmen now out in force.

Three bridges have been destroyed on roads leading into the city of Donetsk on Monday ahead of an expected offensive from government forces.

Fighting nears Donetsk, city of over a million souls ~ link ~ After Ukrainian forces' seizure of a key rebel stronghold in the east, the major cities of Donetsk and Luhansk could be the next focus of major fighting. Three bridges on roads leading to Donetsk were blown up Monday — possibly to hinder military movements, though the rebels claim it was the work of pro-Kiev saboteurs.

As nerves fray over the prospect of fighting in the sprawling cities, Russia urges Europe to put pressure on the government to end the fighting, but takes no overt action. Rebels in Ukraine and nationalists at home have called for the Kremlin to send in troops to protect the pro-Russia insurgents, but President Vladimir Putin, wary of more sanctions being imposed by the West, has resisted.

In a statement, released on Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry urged the 28-nation bloc to slam the deaths of civilians during the Ukrainian army’s shelling of the country’s restive east.
"Kiev turns a deaf ear to calls to save people's lives," the statement read, adding, “We (Russian officials) hope ... for an adequate response by European Union member states to denounce the criminal policy of the Kiev authorities.”

Holding close her curly-haired little daughter, Evgeniya speaks of the hell they’ve managed to get out of. “They were shooting nonstop, every night, and you just run and hide in the basement and pray to God they won't shoot you dead, so that you won't be hit, so that your family… survive,” she tells RT’s Maria Finoshina, who while filming in the turbulent east of Ukraine came across several families fleeing bombings in Kramatorsk, the town that’s been the target of Kiev’s military operation for months.

All women interviewed burst into tears, recalling what they had to go through, not exactly knowing where they were heading and thinking of the loved ones they’ve left behind. Larisa, another young woman in the group, said her husband was still in Kramatorsk.

Governor of Texas to Obama: Use drones on border to defend USA ~ link ~ The Obama Administration has caused this crisis!!!  Stirling

Over 50,000 children mostly from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador have been arrested on the US-Mexico border so far this year.

The US governor also attacked President Barack Obama over the issue.

“The federal government is just absolutely failing. We either have an incredibly inept administration, or they’re in on this somehow or another,” Perry said. “I mean I hate to be conspiratorial, but I mean how do you move that many people from Central America across Mexico and then into the United States without there being a fairly coordinated effort?

The Surveillance State ~ link

“If you or I had a pot full of money and set out to help a community become more prosperous and self-sufficient, we could find a way. When big government steps in with its money, the objective is different—it’s to appear to help, while actually demeaning and reducing everything in sight…

“Ever wonder why so many law-enforcement types, government bureaucrats, and corporate worker bees are control freaks? Do you think it’s just the result of their job training? Think again. There is a selection process. These people are chosen up front, because psych evals identify them as ‘right’ for the work they’ll do. The plan is for the new society to be run by the pod people.” — Jon Rappoport, The Underground
