NATO killers ready to cleanse Russians in the Ukraine ~ link ~ Do take the time to read this one in full at the link! Stirling
Washington knows that time is on Russia's side. So in 2-3 days a false flag is planned that would radically change the Ukrainian crisis and force Russia to invade.
Poroshenko was instructed to increase pro-peace rhetoric, while Russian-speaking mercenaries of the private form Academi deployed to Hungary (cities Debrechen and Mishkolc) are combat ready. Since June 20, the highest acrtivity is observed in Mishkolc: arms and equipemt are loaded onto military and civilian trucks. At any moment there are 60 to 80 trucks being loaded. A railway train is also being loaded. All this to transfer some 10 thousand well-equipped soldiers, not counting their command and support troops, to S.E. Ukraine. They were issued Ukrainian uniforms (possibly Russian, too)....
I repeat: the goal is to cause a wave of outrage in Russia at "Ukrainian crimes", forcing Moscow to invade. Then, it would be announced that Russia has provoked the events to justify invasion.
Putin's Strategy in the Ukraine ~ link ~
As a well-thought-out reflex to Kiev’s military programme and the tenuous ‘cease-fire,’ Putin’s initial response was to ask the upper house of parliament to “revoke” the March 1st 2014 (No. 48-FZ) authorization on the use of the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine.
It’s a master stroke. While Kiev is escalating its militarization, Putin is deescalating Russia’s militarization vis-a-vis Ukraine. The revocation affirms Putin’s desire to “peacefully settle” the Ukrainian crisis.
Prominent parliament member Leonid Slutsky calls the revocation of Russian military force a “powerful irritant for the global community.”
Putin: America unhappy with South Stream because US energy oligarchs want to deliver natural gas to Europe ~ link ~ NOT a good reason for Europeans to die for!!! Stirling
The US opposes the Russian South Stream gas pipeline project because it wants to supply gas to Europe itself, President Putin said on Tuesday. He called the situation an "ordinary competitive struggle."
“They do everything to disrupt this contract. There is nothing unusual here. This is an ordinary competitive struggle. In the course of this competition, political tools are also being used,” the Russian president said after holding talks with his Austrian counterpart, President Heinz Fischer, in Vienna. "We are in talks with our contract partners, not with third parties. That our US friends are unhappy about South Stream, well, they were unhappy in 1962 too, when the gas-for-pipes project with Germany was beginning. Now they are unhappy too, nothing has changed, except the fact that they want to supply to the European market themselves," Putin stated.

Russia and Austria have agreed on a joint company to construct the Austrian arm of the $45 billion South Stream gas pipeline project, which is expected to deliver 32 billion cubic meters of Russian gas to the country, bypassing Ukraine.
At Tuesday's meeting in Vienna, the creation of South Stream Austria was announced. The company will be 50 percent owned by Gazprom, Russia's largest gas producer, and 50 percent by Austria’s OMV Group, the country’s largest oil and gas company.

Putin accuses USA of trying to hinder natural gas pipeline plan ~ link ~ The US energy oligarchs are using American state power for their own economic ends at the risk of global war. Stirling
In a speech, President Putin accused the United States of trying to wreck the market for Russian gas in order to export more American gas. He said that Russian gas was more competitively priced.
Around the Schwarzenberg square, hundreds of demonstrators pro and against Putin’s visit surrounded the area. On one side there were dozens raising the Russian’s flag and chanting: “Putin you are welcome in Austria”. On the other side there were hundreds chanting; “Putin go home you are not welcome in Austria”. At noon, dozens of homosexuals were seen demonstrating at Heldenplatz in front of the Austria foreign ministry and against the Russians supposed violations of their “homosexual rights”.
Russia test fires 6 new air-launched cruise missiles ~ link ~ Just a six-banger warning shots ... this time! Stirling
Russian strategic air forces fired six new, precision-strike cruise missiles in test launches Friday amid new tensions between Moscow and the West over the crisis in Ukraine.
Russia’s Defense Ministry announced Friday that the missile firings took place during exercises involving eight Tu-95 Bear bombers—the same type of strategic bomber recently intercepted 50 miles off the California coast by U.S. jets. Russian bombers, meanwhile, continued saber-rattling air defense zone incursions against Canada’s arctic and in Europe over the Baltic Sea.
Putin asks the Russian Parliament to revoke approval for using force in the Ukraine ~ link ~
Russian President Vladimir Putin asked parliament Tuesday to cancel a resolution sanctioning the use of military force in Ukraine – but cautioned that the Kremlin would continue to protect Russians and their allies in the country if necessary. Putin also called for the extension of a weeklong cease-fire in Russia's strife-torn neighbor, a laying down of arms that looked increasingly fragile following a deadly attack on a Ukrainian army helicopter Tuesday.
"We will always protect ethnic Russians in Ukraine, as well as the part of Ukrainian people who ... feel part of the wider Russian world, and we will not only monitor this but also react,” Putin said. “I hope that armed forces will not be necessary for this," Putin said during negotiations in Vienna on Tuesday.
The Fast and Furious in Natural Gas Geopolitics ~ link ~
The interplay between Ukraine and Russia when it comes to gas geopolitics goes far beyond economic negotiations and development. It lies at the heart of what has been fairly inaccurate or uninformed media reporting in the West.
This aspect of the conflict has been so poorly documented in the West, while being exhaustively reported in Russia, that it is time to provide some English language background to this underappreciated aspect still powering the conflict in negotiations between Ukraine and Russia today.
The Ghoulish Face of Empire ~ link ~ Check out the photo. Stirling
The black-clad fighters of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, sweeping a collapsing army and terrified Iraqis before them as they advance toward Baghdad, reflect back to us the ghoulish face of American empire. They are the specters of the hundreds of thousands of people we murdered in our deluded quest to remake the Middle East. They are ghosts from the innumerable roadsides and villages where U.S. soldiers and Marines, jolted by explosions of improvised explosive devices, responded with indiscriminate fire. They are the risen remains of the dismembered Iraqis left behind by blasts of Hellfire and cruise missiles, howitzers, grenade launchers and drone strikes. They are the avengers of the gruesome torture and the sexual debasement that often came with being detained by American troops. They are the final answer to the collective humiliation of an occupied country, the logical outcome of Shock and Awe, the Frankenstein monster stitched together from the body parts we left scattered on the ground. They are what we get for the $4 trillion we wasted on the Iraq War.
The language of violence engenders violence. The language of hate engenders hate. “I and the public know what all schoolchildren learn,” W.H. Auden wrote. “Those to whom evil is done do evil in return.” It is as old as the Bible.
