Breaking News

Russia demands surrender of Ukraine's Crimea forces ~ link ~ Russia waited until after the Sunday Lent observances were over.  Now the gloves are coming off.  Stirling
Russia's military has given Ukrainian forces in Crimea until dawn on Tuesday to surrender or face an assault, Ukrainian defence sources have said. The head of Russia's Black Sea Fleet Aleksander Vitko set the deadline and threatened an attack "across Crimea". He also reportedly told two warships to surrender or be attacked at 17:00 GMT on Monday.

Crimea ultimatum: Surrender or face 'real assault' ~ link ~ Also see ~ linkThe ultimatum was reported by the Interfax news agency as having been issued by Alexander Vitko, commander of Russia's Black Sea fleet, which has a base in Sevastopol.

"If they do not surrender before 5am (3am GMT) tomorrow, a real assault will be started against units and divisions of the armed forces across Crimea," the agency quoted the ministry source as saying. Oleh Chubuk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian navy, said: "We know nothing about this."
However, a short while later various news outlets reported that Russia's defence ministry had dismissed the ultimatum as "utter nonsense".

Russia presses hard for Ukrainian politicians to return to create a new unity government that would rule until an early election no later than December ~ link ~ This is not the headline to this article but a paragraph buried within the story.  But this, while under reported on by mainstream news media, is most important.  It shows what Russia is demanding of the West and its puppets in Kiev.  Return to the pre-coup agreement or face an invasion!  These are very reasonable terms, but the globalists/Zionists are not interested in peace, only war!!!   Stirling

Earlier today, Russia pressed hard for Ukrainian politicians to return to the February 21 agreement that promised to create a new unity government which would rule until an early election no later than December.

But the proposal seemed to be a non-starter as diplomats met in Brussels, Kiev and Geneva and warnings about the dangers of Russia's military actions were issued from a host of European capitals.

Russian FM Lavrov: Russian option to send troops is only to protect human rights ~ link ~ Lavrov suggested that Russia would not use its military force for geopolitical gains under a pretext of protecting human rights.

“Human rights are too important to make it a bargaining chip in geopolitical games, to use it to impose one’s will on others; less so to instill regime change,” he warned. “An intervention through force under a pretext of protecting civilians causes the opposite, multiplies the suffering of peaceful citizens, and strips them of their fundamental human right - the right to life.”

Lavrov said Russia’s position on the Ukrainian debacle is that the self-proclaimed government in Kiev must comply with its obligations under an agreement, signed on February 21 by President Yanukovich, opposition leaders and foreign ministers of Germany, France and Poland. Yanukovich held his end of the bargain, but the opposition didn’t, the FM stressed.

“The opposition did nothing. The illegal arms have not been relinquished, the government buildings and streets of Kiev have not been completely freed, radicals maintain control of cities. Instead of a promised national unity government a ‘government of the victors’ has been created,” he said.

Lavrov called on Kiev to return to the February 21 agreement and conduct a constitutional reform, which would include participants from all regions of Ukraine. The reform should be approved in a nationwide referendum, he said.

Following the ousting of Viktor Yanukovich in a wave of violent street protest, the opposition-controlled parliament appointed a new government. Ten Ukrainian regions saw massive protest rallies against the developments in the capital. Several of them, including Crimea, announced that they would not take orders from the new government and replaced appointed governors with elected representatives.

UK 4 News: Can a divided West take a stand against Russia - video ~ linkIf you know the history of this Crisis, you can see the lies that the three western representatives on this video interview are peddling and the truth that the Russian representative is speaking.  The globalists and Zionists have created chaos through the so-called 'Color Revolutions' and the 'Arab Spring' and now through the BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SPENT IN THE UKRAINE TO CREATE THIS NIGHTMARE.  Since the globalists and Zionists own the mainstream news media and most of the politicians in the West, we ... the 99.99% of the rest of the Human Race ... are totally screwed unless we can force a stop to this drive towards World War III and the demonic New World Order and end the current Global Depression and denude these monsters from the power to implement their evil intentions!!!  Time is growing short!  Stirling

Western leaders try to halt Russia's advance into Ukrainian territory ~ link ~ By giving full western support and recognition to the Coup Government, but stating that Russia has control of the Crimea, it appears that the West's position to Russia is: Keep the Crimea and let us steal the rest of the Ukraine or else!!!  I do not think that the Russians will accept this, but time will tell.  We are very close to hostilities now!!!   Stirling

Regional government building seized in Ukraine's second largest city, Donetsk - with video ~ link ~
According to media reports, pro-Russian demonstrators stormed the building and occupied several floors of the regional government building on Monday. The protesters waved the Russian flag and chanted slogans in support of Russia.

This came two days after more than 10,000 people took part in a huge rally in Donetsk to stress their allegiance to Ukraine’s ousted president Viktor Yanukovych.

Donetsk’s city council has already refused to recognize Ukraine’s new government and called for a referendum on the region’s status.

Reports also say pro-Russian demonstrators have stormed the provincial council in the Ukrainian southern city of Odessa.

Meanwhile, an aviation brigade based in Crimea’s Belbek airport near the city of Sevastopol, the home to Russia's Black Sea fleet, has defected to the regional pro-Russia leadership.

Anti-Maiden Coup protesters storm regional government building in Donetsk ~ link Nearly a hundred pro-Russian protesters in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk have seized two floors of the regional government building, after the self-imposed Kiev government appointed a local oligarch as a Donetsk Region governor.

In the building there are currently over 20 journalists and deputies of the local parliament, according to ITAR-TASS.

Earlier on Monday morning thousands of anti-Maidan activists came to the building of local administration. They were chanting "Taruta - out!" and carrying Russian flags and banners reading “Russians are our brothers.”

Rule by Zionist oligarchs: Kiev Coup Government appoints billionaires to govern east - with video ~ link
The self-proclaimed government in Kiev has appointed two of Ukraine’s richest men to govern large industrial regions in the defiant east. One of the reasons for the Maidan protest was the influence the rich have on politics in the country.

The appointments of new governors of Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk Regions are among 18 made on Sunday by Kiev, which is struggling to consolidate power after the coup which ousted President Yanukovich last month.

The newly-appointed Dnepropetrovsk governor is Igor Kolomoysky, Ukraine’s third-wealthiest man, with an estimated fortune of $2.4 billion. He co-owns the informal commercial group Privat, which includes Ukraine’s largest bank Privatbank, which Kolomoysky heads, as well as assets in the oil, ferroalloys and food industries, agriculture and transport.

A former ally of Yulia Tymoshenko, Kolomoysky reportedly had a falling out with her and refused to finance her election campaign in 2010, which the ex-prime minister subsequently lost to Yanukovich. Kolomoysky was reported to be a principal sponsor of the UDAR party, which is one of the three fueling the street campaign to oust Yanukovich. Kolomoysky has a dual Ukrainian-Israeli citizenship and controls his business empire from Switzerland.

The new governor of Donetsk Region is Sergey Taruta, who is estimated to worth around $2 billion, putting him among the top-10 wealthiest people in Ukraine. He heads ISD, one of the biggest mining and smelting companies in the world, and also own Donetsk-based Metallurg Football Club.

Crimean air base pledges allegiance to local authorities ~ link ~ The Ukrainian Air Force 240th tactical aviation brigade based near Sevastopol has pledged allegiance to the authorities of Crimea. It is manned by more than 800 troops and has almost 50 planes, although most of them are not operational.

“Today the command of the 204th base in Belbek has declared that it stands with the people or Crimea,” a spokesman for the local authorities told Interfax. With the addition of the personnel of the base, the total strength of Crimean military has almost reached 6,000 people, he said.

Belbek Airport hosts 45 MiG-29 fighter jets and 4 L-39 training jets. However only four fighters and one training aircraft are currently operational, the report said.
