Ukraine Heads Towards Civil War And Possible Russian and NATO Military Intervention

7 Policemen among 18 killed in Ukraine as Kiev city center burns - 180 policemen injured with most hospitalized - extensive gunfire -  with videos and live feed  ~ link ~ Last week Russia reminded the World that it has the right to militarily intervene to protect the Ukraine and stated that the United States Embassy was the center of foreign based intervention in the Ukraine...that what was going on was a Coup Attempt.  Tonight we are moving into a most dangerous situation, as the World competes peacefully in the Russian based Winter Olympics, battle plans for a war on the European Continent are being dusted off.  This has a serious potential of getting totally out-of-hand and is but one more example of globalist/Zionist expansionism and dangerous adventurism!  The Ukraine is of vital national importance to Russia and she will not allow the "West" to overthrow the legitimate elected President and government there!  Watch this very carefully, it could lead to World War III in the near term!!!  Stirling

Breaking: Opposition leader Klitcchko has just returned from meeting with Ukrainian President Yanukovych - President only demands that protesters leave 'Meidain' park ~ link

Breaking: Yanukovych refusing to call off assault on camp says Klitschko - with video ~ link ~ Embattled Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has told opposition leaders that he will not call off a bloody police assault on the opposition's main protest camp on Kiev's Independence Square, opposition leader Vitali Klitschko said.

"Yanukovych said that there is only one option...to clear Maidan and that everyone has to go home," Klitschko told independent Hromadske TV after meeting Yanukovych.

Tensions high in Ukraine after at least 21 die - with video ~ link ~ This looks very much like the beginning of an all-out civil war!   Stirling

US and EU paying Ukrainian rioters and protesters ~ link ~ A number of confirmations have come in from readers that Washington is fueling the violent protests in Ukraine with our taxpayer dollars. Washington has no money for food stamps or to prevent home foreclosures, but it has plenty of money with which to subvert Ukraine.

One reader wrote: “My wife, who is of Ukrainian nationality, has weekly contact to her parents and friends in Zhytomyr [NW Ukraine]. According to them, most protesters get an average payment of 200-300 grivna, corresponding to about 15-25 euro. As I additionally heard, one of the most active agencies and ‘payment outlets’ on EU side is the German ‘Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’, being closely connected to the CDU, i.e. Mrs. Merkel’s party.”
As I reported on February 12, “Washington Orchestrated Protests Are Destabilizing Ukraine,” Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, a rabid Russophobe and neoconservative warmonger, told the National Press Club last December that the US has “invested” $5 billion in organizing a network to achieve US goals in Ukraine in order to give “Ukraine the future it deserves.”  Nuland is the Obama regime official who was caught red-handed naming the members of the Ukrainian government Washington intends to impose on the Ukrainian people once the paid protesters have unseated the current elected and independent government.
What Nuland means by Ukraine’s future under EU overlordship is for Ukraine to be looted like Latvia and Greece and to be used by Washington as a staging ground for US missile bases against Russia.

Russia accuses USA of meddling in Ukraine's domestic affairs ~ linkA recent statement by a US Department of State official shows that the United States is trying to dictate its own solutions to the Ukrainian government, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Monday.

“Once again, we note that the United States is trying to impose the ‘Western vector’ of development on the Ukrainian government under the guise of calls to stop interference into the Ukrainian people’s freedom of choice, and tells the authorities of a sovereign state what they should do next and how they should do it,” spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said in a statement.

Ukraine violence catches EU by surprise ~ link

Fierce clashes in Kiev as new wave of unrest grips Ukraine - Live Updates ~ link ~ Rioters and police in central Kiev are exchanging smoke and stun grenades, as a fresh wave of violence is gripping the Ukrainian capital. While the rioters have no clear demands, the opposition keeps pushing for the president’s resignation.

Ukraine police storm main Kiev 'Maidan' protest camp - with videos ~ link ~ Police are storming the main protest camp in Ukraine's capital, Kiev, which has been occupied since November.

Explosions are taking place, fireworks are being thrown and large fires have broken out in Independence Square, known locally as the Maidan.

This is how Ukrainian protesters attack an armored personnel carrier - with video ~ link ~ Watch as sparks fly between a Ukrainian military APC, possibly the same one we revealed earlier, as it gets into some blazingly close encounters with the Kiev protesters. It is unclear who won however it is quite clear that at this point the proxy war in Ukraine between Russia/Gazprom and the European Union/US State Dept/Saudi/Qatar can be upgraded to "hot."

Ukraine's military releases the armored vehicles and fighter jets - Independence Square is in flames - with photos and videos ~ link ~ Days after Kazakhstan broke out is tanks post-devaluation, the promise to "Restore order by all means envisaged" is under way in Ukraine as military vehicles are being mobilized into the city center (and fighter jets are being reported overhead). As Martin Armstrong so eloquently noted recently, "the Western powers represented by the EU and the US have nothing to stand on to protect Ukraine and can only offer lip-service at best. So once again, it appears that Ukraine is doomed and the best one can hope for there, is that Russia will allow the West to leave. The countdown goes forward and the political and economic crisis is indicative of what we see with the first shot across the bow in the rising trend of the Cycle of War." The US has 'demanded' an end to the violence...

Ukraine slide accelerates ~ link ~It's getting form bad to worse in the Ukraine: either martial law will be announced any time soon or the proxy civil war becomes a real one. On the bright side, there is something to be said about having a nation's criminal cases all in paper format: once there is a revolution, everyone's slate gets wiped clean...

Manufacturing Consent ~ link ~Zealous French intellectual Bernard-Henri Lévy visited the Maidan in Kiev on February 9 to deliver another fiery harangue. The next day the article Bernard-Henri Lévy: We’re all Ukrainians (Bernard-Henri Lévy: «Nous sommes tous des Ukrainiens») was published by Le Monde. In his fervor Ukrainian Lévy he called Yulia Timoshenko the Dame of Kiev (meaning Yulia Timoshenko who is behind bars at present). I can hardly imagine what Oleh Tyahnybok, another passionate Maidan supporter, or Victor Yanukovych thought having heard these bold words spoken by someone born to an Algerian Jewish family. But I’m glad to see one more proof of the fact that the French are reasonable people. The article of «new Ukrainian» was followed by many virulent comments like: We’ve been Libyans, now we are Ukrainians. Could we just be French, is it so hard?
