Europe considers wholesale savings confiscation and enforced redistribution ~ link ~ You simply cannot make stories like this up.  Only a world where the most evil and corrupt rule could come to this!!! The masses have allow this to happen, and only they with the help of God can turn it around.  Stirling

At first we thought Reuters had been punk'd in its article titled "EU executive sees personal savings used to plug long-term financing gap" which disclosed the latest leaked proposal by the European Commission, but after several hours without a retraction, we realized that the story is sadly true. Sadly, because everything that we warned about in "There May Be Only Painful Ways Out Of The Crisis" back in September of 2011, and everything that the depositors and citizens of Cyprus had to live through, seems on the verge of going continental. In a nutshell, and in Reuters' own words, "the savings of the European Union's 500 million citizens could be used to fund long-term investments to boost the economy and help plug the gap left by banks since the financial crisis, an EU document says." What is left unsaid is that the "usage" will be on a purely involuntary basis, at the discretion of the "union", and can thus best be described as confiscation.

The source of this stunner is a document seen be Reuters, which describes how the EU is looking for ways to "wean" the 28-country bloc from its heavy reliance on bank financing and find other means of funding small companies, infrastructure projects and other investment. So as Europe finally admits that the ECB has failed to unclog its broken monetary pipelines for the past five years - something we highlight every month (most recently in No Waking From Draghi's Monetary Nightmare: Eurozone Credit Creation Tumbles To New All Time Low), the commissions report finally admits that "the economic and financial crisis has impaired the ability of the financial sector to channel funds to the real economy, in particular long-term investment."

Belgium's Parliament votes through child euthanasia ~ link ~ A very bad road to travel on!!!  Stirling

Parliament in Belgium has passed a bill allowing euthanasia for terminally ill children without any age limit, by 86 votes to 44, with 12 abstentions.

When, as expected, the bill is signed by the king, Belgium will become the first country in the world to remove any age limit on the practice.

Belgium votes to legalize euthanasia for children despite protests from 160 doctors ~ link ~ Belgium yesterday became the first country in the world to legalise euthanasia for children of any age.

Youngsters will now be able to request that their doctors kill them by lethal injection if they become terminally ill – even though they are still considered insufficiently mature to buy alcohol, cigarettes, vote, marry or drive a car.

Italian PM Enrico Letta to tender resignation on Friday ~ link ~ Party leader Matteo Renzi had earlier called for a change of government at a party meeting, saying the country could not go on in "uncertainty".  Speculation has been rife that Mr Renzi wants to take over as prime minister.

Plagued by uncertainty, Italy set for its third government in a year ~ link ~ The "economic slump" is a Global Depression and those really in power in Italy/EU/world are the Global Banking Cartel families and we are in a depression because they desire it for strategic (NWO) reasons!   Stirling

The Italian Prime Minister, Enrico Letta, has said he will tender his resignation, opening the way for centre-left leader Matteo Renzi to take the helm of Italy’s third government in less than a year.

His decision to resign, which will be formally announced on Friday, came after the Democratic Party (PD), the largest party in the ruling coalition, supported a call by Mr Renzi, its 39-year-old leader, for a more ambitious government to pull Italy out of its economic slump.

Putin backs Sisi's bid for Egyptian presidency ~ link ~
Russia's President Vladimir Putin has said he backs Egypt's military chief Abdul Fattah al-Sisi in his "bid for the presidency".

Mr Putin, meeting Field Marshal Sisi in Moscow to discuss an arms deal, said he was "aware" of his decision to run.

  • New BBC Horizon documentary investigates the healing power of the mind
  • Focuses on a commonly performed back operation called vertebroplasty
  • Here, medical cement is injected to help heal a fractured vertebra
  • But one leading U.S. surgeon has found fake surgery to be just as effective
  • This may be because the mind believes the pain to have gone - allowing time for the vertebra to heal naturally
  • Programme also looks at why some 'fake pills' help us more than others - depending on their colour and size

NSA headquarters could go dark if bill passes in Maryland - with video ~ link ~ Maryland is one of almost a dozen states that are taking legal steps to attack the unconstitutional spying on American citizens by the Federal Government.   Good for them!   Stirling
State legislators in Maryland have introduced a bill that would cut off water, electricity and other utilities to National Security Agency headquarters, which are located in the Old Line state. The bill is called the Fourth Amendment Protection Act, and supporters say the bill would block the NSA from spying on citizens in Maryland. Similar bills are being introduced in Washington, Utah and Missouri. RT's Liz Wahl asks Shahid Buttar, executive director of the Bill of Rights Defense Committee and who helped draft Maryland's legislation, how the bill would impact NSA operations. - See more at: http://xrepublic.tv/node/7396#sthash.tjei3qNr.dpuf

The World continues to steadily march down a self-destructive path toward oblivion ~ link
In November, Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts warned that “the four biggest banks are 30% larger than they were five years ago” (JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup and Wells Fargo). Warren isn’t the only one who is worried. Many other proponents of financial reform, from economists Dean Baker (co-founder of the Center for Economic and Policy Research), Joseph E. Stiglitz (a professor at Columbia University) and Simon Johnson to politicians like Democratic Florida Rep. Alan Grayson, have been warning Americans about the ongoing threat too-big-to-fail banks pose.
Johnson and Baker have both said one benefit of breaking up mega-banks would be decreasing their political influence, while Stiglitz has warned that mega-banks are “too big to manage and be held accountable” and that the bigger banks are allowed to become, “the greater the threat to our economies and our societies.”
