Eugene Michael Jones, who is a writer, former professor, media commentator and the current editor of Culture Wars magazine, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Wednesday.
On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US President Barack Obama and asked him to toughen sanctions against the Islamic Republic over its nuclear energy program. Netanyahu also demanded that “Iran must fully dismantle its nuclear program.”
A day later Netanyahu told the UN General Assembly that Israel was ready to act alone from preventing Iran becoming a nuclear power. "I want there to be no confusion on this point. Israel will not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone.”
Israel, the US and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program and have used the unfounded accusation as a pretext to impose illegal sanctions on the country.
Jones said Netanyahu’s “conditions are unacceptable and I think he knows they are unacceptable, and I think the whole point of this is to make any type of peaceful agreement impossible by setting demands that are too high that no nation could ever agree to. I think that’s what his plan is. His plan is to make sure that peace doesn’t break out.”
“There is a great fear among the Israeli lobby right now that peace might break out as a result of Obama’s phone conversation with President Rouhani and his statement to Netanyahu that they are going to pursue this overture and see where it leads,” he added.
Netanyahu's UN Speech: Sound like a sociopath ~ link ~ Or a outright psychopath!!! Stirling
Iranian missiles will hit New York in “three to four years”. A nuclear Iran is like “50 North Koreas”. This could be the sound of a deranged, dangerous sociopath, or this could be the sound of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu addressing the UN General Assembly.
