Israel behind mystery attack on Syrian port - US sources say ~ link ~ Whatever happened, this is NOT GOOD!!! Stirling
Plainclothesmen attack anti-government protesters in Turke - with video ~ link ~ Ali Ismail Korkmaz was the latest victim of police crackdown on anti-government protesters. He died at a hospital on July 10 after he was badly beaten by unidentified plainclothesmen during protests on June 2.
Turkish lawmaker Oguz Kaan Salici told Press TV that the men are civilians who are protected by the Turkish police.
“In the beginning of the Taksim protest we saw that 10 or 20 guys with sticks in their hands and sometimes small knives. They were attacking the protesters or trying to make them afraid. Police is unfortunately with them,” he added.
The campaign against protesters is sweeping across Turkey, as cameras caught a man at Taksim on July 8 in plain clothes who chased protesters with a machete and even kicked one woman in her back.
On July 11, another machete-wielding man got out of a taxi and chased protesters in Ankara.
Meanwhile, 12 protesters including members of the Taksim Solidarity group were released from prison for lack of evidence. They were accused of forming an illegal group to commit crime.
The group, however, said they would continue their resistance.
Anti-government protests erupt at Istanbul's Taksim Square ~ link ~ Fresh anti-government demonstrations have erupted at the iconic Taksim Square in the Turkish port city of Istanbul, with protesters chanting slogans and calling on the government to resign.
Protesters gathered on Saturday to march on Gezi Park, which has been the epicenter of anti-government demonstrations for several weeks.
Police used water cannon and tear gas to disperse protesters.
The demonstrations came in response to a government-sponsored law banning architects and engineers who took part in protests from getting involved in city planning.
Demonstrations erupted in late May after police broke up a sit-in at Istanbul's Taksim Square in protest against a proposal to demolish Gezi Park.
The violence turned into nationwide demonstrations against the ruling Justice and Development Party and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with police using water cannons, tear gas and rubber bullets against demonstrators.
Erdogan, whose government is the main target of protests, has described the demonstrators as foreign-backed extremists and terrorists.
Five people have been killed and thousands more injured in the violent crackdown on peaceful protesters. Hundreds of activists have also been arrested.
The Turkish prime minister has faced international condemnation for his handling of the crisis. Turkish police have been also strongly criticized for using excessive force against the peaceful protests.
Israel nervous about resurgent Russia in Middle East - with video ~ link ~ Take the time to view this at the link. Stirling
The following is an approximate transcript of the interview.
Press TV: Just how threatening would such missiles be to relations between Russia and Israel and the way they will treat each other in the future?
Glenn: Russia is not under any illusions about what Israel’s capabilities are. Israel has had the ability now of delivering nuclear weapons to literally any place wherever she wishes by virtue of the fact she has at least 5 dolphin-class submarines that have been given to her by the German government.
The problem with Israel having nuclear weapons and of course the means to delivering them is the mindset that drives this all. We have to remember that Israel is the only …[one] in human history that has threatened to kill the entire human race if it turns out that her precious little experiment in the Middle East fails to materialize. And this coupled with the fact the she is aligned with a country - the only country that has used nuclear weapons against another people - is what makes Israel so dangerous.
So the rather tense relations that exists right now, which exists between Israel and Russia over the issue of Syria in and of itself I don’t think this new development involving Israel’s new ballistic missile, I don’t think this is something that surprises Russia or even would heighten Russia’s concerns about Israel more than Russia is already concerned about her.
Press TV: How does the international community view this?
Glenn: Well, the international community should look at this with alarm, unfortunately the international community will not. Let’s remind ourselves that ever since the 1980s when Mordechai Vanunu, the nuclear technician who spent almost 20 years in an Israel prison for revealing Israel’s nuclear weapons capability - He should have been hosted by every sane country on the planet and been invited to speak to their parliaments and to their legislative bodies; but sadly he’s been ignored and he’s been sentenced to the side.
So, the international community should of course if it were in its right mind, should view this latest development with alarm, but sadly and unfortunately they will continue instead to be dragged along with the petty little arguments and warnings that Israel issues against peaceful countries such as Iran.
Press TV: How much do you think this could be related to the fact Russia is supportive of Syria, this case of Syria?
Glenn: I think it relates to it entirely and it’s not just Syria that Israel is worried about, but rather the entire Middle East. I think that much of the posturing that we see taking place these days between Israel and the United States is geared towards keeping Russia out of the Middle East in such a way as Russia used to reside there in countries such as Egypt and Jordan and Syria.
I think that Israel and the United States are very nervous these days about a resurgent Russia and I think that much of this saber rattling taking place is being designed to scare Russia out of the territory permanently, which I think is in Israel’s long term strategic desires.
Press TV: How do you think Russia will respond to this in the event Israel uses these missiles?
Glenn: Israel is not going to do any thing like that. Israel only bombs defenseless men women and children in places such as Gaza. She’s not going to pick a fight with a super power who’s capable of defending itself.
Rather what Israel would like to see happen is the United States doing her dirty work for her. This almost took place in 1967 when Israel attacked the USS Liberty and the United States was about to drop nuclear weapons on Egypt, which was allied with the Soviet Union at that time.
So let’s not have any illusions about Israel doing anything like this. Rather she’ll get her trained attack dog do it for her. And if she can’t induce the United States to do this through typical use of politicizing and threats, then she’ll probably try to pull off another false flag event like she did in 1967 with the USS Liberty.
Sinking of the MOL Comfort transporting arms to the "Free Syrian Army" ~ link ~ This link was sent to me by a reader. Ships like this don't just sink all of a sudden, if they did there were be thousands at the bottom of the ocean. This was a "at sea event" in the war against Syria. So who was responsible for the sinking, Russia?, Iran?, Syria? This video ~ link ~ is a humorous view of its sinking from Australia. Stirling

Why did the Obama Administration 'Organize adn Manage' protests against George Zimmerman? ~ link ~ Is the Obama administration at least partially responsible for turning the George Zimmerman trial into such a huge national spectacle? Judicial Watch has obtained documents which prove that the Community Relations Service, a division of the Department of Justice, was sent to Sanford, Florida in late March 2012 “to help organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman“. This included spending quite a bit of money, arranging meetings between the NAACP and local leaders, and providing police escorts for protesters. Someone needs to ask Obama why the federal government was doing this. A story that should have never made national headlines now threatens to unleash a firestorm of racial fury unlike anything we have seen since the Rodney King verdict. One young man, a neighborhood watch captain, shot and killed another young man. This kind of thing happens in American cities every single night. George Zimmerman says that he did it in self-defense. He should be allowed to have his day in court and that should be the end of the matter. But instead, this thing has been hyped into a massive national spectacle and it is being used to divide us along racial lines. And it appears that we have clear evidence that the Obama administration was involved in doing the hyping.
The documents that Judicial Watch was able to obtain contain some absolutely startling information. Apparently the role of the Obama administration in these protests was quite substantial…
Ten reasons why the Global Economy is about to experience its own version of "Sharknado" ~ link ~ Have you ever seen a disaster movie that is so bad that it is actually good? Well, that is exactly what Syfy's new television movie entitled "Sharknado" is. In the movie, wild weather patterns actually cause man-eating sharks to come flying out of the sky. It sounds absolutely ridiculous, and it is. You can view the trailer for the movie right here. Unfortunately, we are witnessing something just as ridiculous in the real world right now. In the United States, the mainstream media is breathlessly proclaiming that the U.S. economy is in great shape because job growth is "accelerating" (even though we actually lost 240,000 full-time jobs last month) and because the U.S. stock market set new all-time highs this week. The mainstream media seems to be absolutely oblivious to all of the financial storm clouds that are gathering on the horizon. The conditions for a "perfect storm" are rapidly developing, and by the time this is all over we may be wishing that flying sharks were all that we had to deal with. The following are 10 reasons why the global economy is about to experience its own version of "Sharknado"...
