"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?

We are living in a propaganda matrix that is controlled by a tiny demonic global banking elite.  Their almost total control of the mainstream news media and most politicians allows them to do all types of PsyOps that in a normal society would 'never fly'.  Stirling

Paris: France and UK to arm Syria "militants" ~ link ~ The "militants" are almost totally foreign mercenaries.  This is nothing but foreign (US, UK, France, NATO, GCC, Israel) aggression on Syria.  The comments by Fabius about "defending themselves" earn him the dreaded Five BS Flag Award.

France and the UK will send weapons to the militants in Syria despite an arms embargo which forbids the EU states from such an action, France says.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said on Thursday that Paris and London are planning to ask for the date of the next EU meeting on the Syria arms embargo to be moved up, adding that they will arm the militants even if an agreement is not reached.

During an interview with France Info radio, Fabius said that Paris and London request “the Europeans now to lift the embargo so that the resistance fighters have the possibility of defending themselves.”

China names Xi Jinping as new President ~ link
China’s National People’s Congress has appointed Xi Jinping, the head of the Communist Party, as the country’s new president.

Xi Jinping was named president of China Thursday after a vote at the nation’s parliamentary meeting in the capital, Beijing.

The appointment comes four months after the 59-year-old leader succeeded President Hu Jintao as the head of the ruling party in November.

Assume the Brace Position ~ link ~ The old adage, “Don’t fight the Fed,” is one that many investors learn first-hand by taking losses. The printing press can be a powerful thing. But like most if not all powerful things, it has its limits. Think of a chess player able to choose which piece goes where. That might seem quite a power until faced with checkmate, when no further moves are possible.

Having stimulated a large increase in money and credit growth through QE in the second half of last year, the Fed now faces checkmate. Why is this so? Because the surge has now reversed as velocity has plummeted. Year to date, both broad money and private sector credit growth are zero even through the monetary base is growing at nearly a 70% annualized rate.[1] The Fed is, therefore, pushing as hard as ever, but still pushing on a string. Moreover, following on by far the largest amount of artificial fiscal and monetary stimulus ever thrown at the US economy, including during the Great Depression, the string is far longer than that which existed back in 2008.

Being Employed Today vs 1970 ~ link ~ Do take the time to read all of this one at the link.  Make no mistake about it, the tiny super-elite is robbing us all blind!!!  Stirling

Words change meaning across town and across generations. In 1970 a soldier returning from Vietnam who told his family that he got a job would find all sorts of young women willing to marry him because he made enough money to support a family. Not so today. Or a young woman graduating from college in 1970 who got a job could have helped parents if they got sick and could not work.Today’s college graduate has to qualify the statement ‘I got a job ‘ with words like part time or full time and just how near the minimum wage they are. Words like health benefits do not come up for discussion for most jobs held by recent college graduates.

The average 2011 college graduate had $25,000 in student debt and $3,500 in credit card loans at graduation. At 10% interest the minimum interest only payment on the average student debt would be $3,500 a year and at 30% that credit card debt would cost $1,500 if you couldn’t afford to make payments of the principal.  That is difficult to do when the average salary of those college grads has declined from $30,000 to $27,000 a year before taxes. After federal and state income taxes that is lucky to take home $12.25 an hour so those student loans and credit card bills are really depressing.

The employment rate has fallen below 59% and stayed there for four years. The employment rate even in terms of quantity and not the more strict terms of quality is worse than at any time since the Great Depression.

We already know that their Foundation studies tell us the global elite plans to reduce the total population of the world to a billion or fewer people so they must like any of us at all.

The times are a changing. The ruling class has decided that the future does not include you no matter what race you are.

The First Pope from the developed world ~ link ~
The choice of a Pope from Latin America is a powerful symbol of the shift of influence in Roman Catholicism from the old to the new world.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio is the third Pontiff in a row who is not from Italy and the first in more than a millennium from outside Europe.

His election to the Papacy signals the importance of the burgeoning strength of the church in Latin America and in Africa, now home to a growing proportion of the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics.

Can the first Pontiff born outside Europe in 1,300 years clean up his troubled Church? ~ link ~ If he does not end mandatory celibacy in his first couple of weeks (his 'honeymoon' period as a new Pope), he will show himself as just another 'Hollywood' Pope...all hype and image and no real substance, like John Paul II and Benedict XVI.  Getting lots of heterosexual married men as priests and bishops is the key to reclaiming the Church from the 'gay mafia' that currently controls it...without tackling this issue successfully there will be no real clean up.  The Roman Catholic Church has up to 60% of its priests, in many parts of the world, as gay.  With those numbers, what can they expect but more scandals and dysfunctional trouble!!!   Stirling

Francis begins his challenging papacy with humility ~ link ~ Also see ~ link ~ And ~ link ~ And ~ linkAnd ~ link ~ And ~ link ~ And ~ link ~ Pope Francis has spent his first day at the helm of the Catholic Church meeting people in Rome ahead of a Sistine Chapel Mass with cardinals.

After private prayers at the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, he crossed the road to a local school to meet children and commuters heading to work.

The Pope later went to the priests' residence in Piazza Navona to pick up his belongings and pay his bill.

Malachy Prophecy: Pope Francis is the last Pope ~ link

Did new Pope fail to stand up to Argentina's brutal junta? ~ link ~ Critics say Jorge Mario Bergoglio did little to help those who disappeared when the country was under right-wing military rule – and too much to criticise the left-wing opponents of the generals.

He has even been accused of turning a blind eye to the rounding up and torturing of his own Jesuit priests, something he strongly denies.

The baggage of Argentine history also means potential diplomatic difficulties for Britain over the Falkland Islands.

The modest son of a Buenos Aires railwayman who has only one lung ~ link ~ Of all the contenders to replace Pope Benedict XVI, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Buenos Aires was little mentioned.
The 76-year-old reportedly received the second most votes after Joseph Ratzinger, the last pope, in the 2005 papal election.

And as a representative of South America's Catholics - who make up an estimated 40 per cent of the 1.2 billion strong church, he was widely supported on a massive scale.

First full day as Pope - with photos ~ link ~ He may be just one day into his new job but Pope Francis has already undergone a subtle makeover.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio was seen yesterday wearing glasses as he was announced to the tens of thousands of Catholics who flocked to Vatican City.

But this morning, the Argentine was pictured smiling from the steps of the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica in Rome minus his spectacles.

Scientists have found the Higgs Boson ~ link ~
Physicists say they are now confident they have discovered a long-sought subatomic particle known as a Higgs boson.

The European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, says a look at all the data from 2012 shows that what they found last year was a version of what is popularly referred to as the 'God particle'.

CERN physicist Joe Incandela said today that 'it is clear that we are dealing with a Higgs boson though we still have a long way to go to know what kind of Higgs boson it is.'

Medieval knight's grave found at location of Blackfriars Monastery in Edinburgh ~ link ~ In life, he would have been among the social elite, a man of honour and privilege befitting his warrior status.

But, in death, it seems the Scottish knight was destined to suffer the same indignity as King Richard III – being buried on a site that was to be later covered by a car park.
Only months after the king’s 500-year-old corpse was found in Leicestershire, the grave of a medieval knight has been uncovered in Edinburgh.

'North Korea is the most insane nation on earth.'

You're saying that all the time, but I think North Korea (read: China) is just using the same mad dog attitude Israel is using. This is poker at a very high and dangerous level, where players can go all in just once.
