IDF orders evacuation of civilian aircraft from Haifa airport ~ link ~ This is another indication that war may be near, but with the confused nature of Middle East war politics one can never be sure.  Stirling    

 

Israel ordered all private aircraft out of the Haifa Airport by 11:00 Wednesday, citing security concerns, Army Radio reported.

The airport is operated by the Israeli Airports Authority, who told Israel Hayom that any plane that needs to depart or land at the airport would be allowed to do so. However, Army Radio reported that the IDF had imposed a mandatory evacuation of the airport and has restricted flights for civilian aircraft in the area.

China's return to Pakistani port near Persian Gulf sets off regional alarm bells ~ link ~ Currently most of China’s oil imports from the Gulf travel the long sea route through the Malacca Strait and the South China Sea. Gwadar, located just 250 miles from the Strait of Hormuz, could be the key to a new route for oil and other commodities, via pipeline, road and rail links through Pakistan, into western China. (Those same routes could benefit the land-locked republics of Central Asia, too.)

The move has stoked fears in India that China is pursuing a so-called “encirclement” policy, in collaboration with New Delhi’s historical arch-rival, Pakistan.

Another Canadian city bans fluoride from its water supply ~ link ~ Good!  The public does win some victories...we just have to apply the right effort and pressure.   Stirling   

 

A growing number of people on the planet are beginning to wake up to the truth about fluoride and how harmful it really is. Windsor, Ontario, Canada has joined a number of other Canadian municipalities that have voted to put a stop to the practice of putting fluoride into the water supply.  The vote was passed earlier this week after a five hour debate between medical experts and the city council. Ask yourself, do you really think fluoride is put into the water supply of most major cities  because some “experts” believe it to be capable of preventing tooth decay? What about the American Dental Association? Do you think they were not aware about the dangers of fluoride before dumping it into the water supply? If they were aware, then why are they doing it? The president of the Essex County Dental Association  was upset, advising the council to not be known for going against the advice of the health advisers.  But who is it that is even advising the health advisers in the first place? Dr. Allen Heimann, the local medical officer of health said that it’s the general consensus within the scientific community that fluoride  (sodium silicofluoride and hydrofluorosilicic acid) is effective in preventing tooth decay…but it’s not! The doctors in favor of advising for water fluoridation to the Windsor City Council used the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the US Center For Disease Control as their sources. These two organizations have research that is funded by an elite group of people who run the multinational corporations that own all earthly resources. They do not want to see the human race thrive, and they continue to put toxic chemicals and pesticides into the products we consume and use on our bodies.

Bill introduced in US Congress to end Federal marijuana prohibition ~ link ~ That would make great sense and would offer a new source of tax revenue.  However, don't hold your breath.  Police states have very high levels of incarceration and America now has higher rates than North Korea or China or just about any other nation on Earth.  That they are sending kids to prison for 'grass' is terrible.  It makes criminals out of people doing nothing and feeds the prison industry, which is why it is apt to continue.   Stirling   

 

Congressman Jared Polis (D-CO) and Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) today introduced two pieces of legislation to de-federalize marijuana policy and create a framework for the federal taxation of cannabis. Polis’ Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act would remove the Drug Enforcement Agency’s authority over marijuana and allow states to choose whether to allow marijuana for medicinal or recreational use. Blumenauer’s Marijuana Tax Equity Act would create a federal excise tax on marijuana. Together, these bills would provide a system of regulation and taxation for marijuana in states where it is legal.

“This legislation doesn't force any state to legalize marijuana, but Colorado and the 18 other jurisdictions that have chosen to allow marijuana for medical or recreational use deserve the certainty of knowing that federal agents won’t raid state-legal businesses,” said Polis. “Congress should simply allow states to regulate marijuana as they see fit and stop wasting federal tax dollars on the failed drug war.”
