Israeli leaders re-examine Gaza invasion under strong Obama pressure ~ link ~ 1.  To delay the ground action until Wednesday although it was poised to go forward Sunday night - even though the US president may be expected to stand by his objections then too; 2.  To go ahead and launch the ground stage of the military offensive over those objections; or 3.  To conduct a series of ground sorties inside the Gaza Strip to test the ground there without delay.

Bloodiest day yet of Israel's assault on Gaza as desperate last-minute diplomacy attempts to forestall ground invasion - with video ~ link ~ Gaza suffered its bloodiest day since Israel launched a military offensive in the Hamas-controlled enclave, with a sharp escalation in the ferocity of attacks from both sides amid frenzied last-minute diplomacy to try and forestall an Israeli ground assault.

Palestinians with countless people injured, (including the Israeli  targeted assassination of a Hamas leader), in spite of all of Israeli and western media propaganda, many of the worlds people realize that this is Israel’s continuation of its policies of war,  illegal occupation of Palestine, siege of Gaza, carrying on building illegal settlements and confiscating Palestinian land.   The Prime Minister of Israel Netanyahu argues Israel’s ‘Right to defence’ and the Obama Administration continues, yet again, to  support this bogus claim, and pledges to oppose those who would question Israel’s illegal policies.     The Israeli  Government, and Military,  do not have a   right to carry out indiscriminate bombing and killing of Palestinian civilians, nor under International law, does any government have a legal right to do so.  Israel  has an obligation to abide by International Law and uphold the rights of occupied Palestinian people, and since they refuse to do so, third party Governments have a legal responsibility to take action and see Israel is not allowed to act with impunity.

The Israeli bombardment of Gaza being perpetuated under ‘Operation Pillar of Defense’ comes at an interesting time. Under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak, the expansion of illegal Jewish settlements into Palestinian lands has increased at unprecedented rates. Netanyahu’s administration has approved the construction of 850 settler homes in the occupied West Bank in June 2012, even after the Israeli parliament rejected a bill to retroactively legalize some of the existing homes in the area. [2] The number of Jewish settlers in the West Bank has almost doubled in the past 12 years, with more than 350,000 residing illegally under international law. [3] While Israel’s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman asserts Tel Aviv’s unwillingness to permit Palestinians any right to return to their lands, emphasizing, “not even one refugee,” apartheid enforced on ethnic and religious lines has become a ratified part of Israeli government policy. [4] Far-right political discourse that was once considered extremism is now the status quo in Israel.

Iranian Commander: Next Move of Hamas to Stun Israel ~ link ~ "Hamas and other (Palestinian) combatants' defensive moves will be completely unprecedented and shocking if the Israelis' imposed war on Gaza continues," Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for Cultural Affairs and Defense Publicity Brigadier General Massoud Jazzayeri told FNA on Saturday.

He stressed the high morale of the Palestinian resistance groups, and said, "Based on the existing information, the Zionist occupiers and troops will be brought to their knees by the next military moves of Gaza fighters."

Jazzayeri dismissed the importance of Israel's air defense shield, dubbed as Iron Dome, and noted that the rockets fired by the Palestinian resistance forces will hit wherever necessary.

Hamas warned on Saturday that 50,000 Palestinian combatants and 5,000 martyrdom-seeking forces are ready in the Gaza Strip to confront any ground offensive by the Zionist regime.

"Over 50,000 Palestinian combatants are ready to confront any ground assault on Gaza," Representative of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas in Beirut Ali Baraka told the Arabic Al-Sharq al-Jadid news agency.

Israel triggered the current fighting by assassinating the military chief of the ruling Hamas group on Wednesday, followed by dozens of airstrikes on Gaza.

British MP: Israeli Killings in Gaza Unjustifiable ~ link ~ British Labor MP Jeremy Corbyn strongly condemned the Zionist regime for its crimes and atrocities against the defenseless Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, saying that the Israeli massacre of a large number of Palestinians in just the last few days cannot be justified by any rule or standard.  

"Once again Israel has wantonly attacked the people of Gaza, bombing and killing them," Corbyn told reporters in London on Sunday.

The British lawmaker condemned the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians, describing the attacks as unjustifiable.

"This is effectively a first world state attacking a poor and largely defenseless population. It looks like a rerun of Operation Cast Lead," he said.

Corbyn said that the timing of the Israeli aggressions is "interesting and it looks like (Israeli prime minister Benjamin) Netanyahu is creating a crisis to ensure his reelection".

Yesterday, hundreds of people took part in a rally in Edinburgh, Scotland in support of the Palestinian people who have been under the Israeli regime's severe attacks in the last five days.

Protesters carried banners and flags condemning the actions of Israel as they marched from the First Minister's official residence, Bute House in Charlotte Square, to the Scottish Parliament, STV reported.

On Thursday, about 800 hundred people protested in front of the Israeli embassy in London, shouting anti-Israeli slogans. The protesters waved signs reading "Free Palestine,", "End the siege" and "Criminal Israel".

Over 70 Palestinians have been killed and more than 580 others injured in the new wave of Israeli aggressions against the Gaza Strip since Wednesday. 

Netanyahu leading Israel to avoidable but obvious defeat - with video ~ link ~ Israel exists in a perpetual "besieged" mentality. The Israeli people have been conditioned to view themselves as an island amidst a violent sea. However, the constant belligerent posture of their government in fact drives the winds that churn that sea, and as the face of modern warfare shifts, and the more they use their armor and air power against their perceived enemies, the higher the waves become.

Of course, not all Israelis are as bad as this particularly vile racist Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, but judging by the lack of condemnation from his speech, his views are quietly accepted by quite a few Israelis. 

In light of what is currently going down in Gaza – state terror and repression on the part of Israel against it’s occupied native peoples in Palestine, it’s safe to say that this type of rhetoric is pretty rotten, and revealing.

But there’s more… Israeli crowds seem to be baying for more blood in a very macabre party-like atmosphere, as crowd shout, “May your children die, you dogs”: As Gaza burns, some spoiled Israelis feel compelled to cry for blood in streets. Very sad. Watch video:
