Destroying civilian infrastructure is – of course – a war crime under the Geneva Convention. So is the indiscriminate or disproportionate use of force. And so is
targeting civilians, as is the collective punishment for the acts of a
few.
Indeed, Israeli’s apparently intentional policy of reducing caloric intake by Palestinians living in Gaza is a years-long, systemic and continuous war crime.
Of course, Israeli’s use of white phosphorous during “Operation Cast Lead”, and its alleged use of the substance this week
– if proven – would also constitute a war crime. Specifically, Israel
ratified Protocol III of Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons
(“Protocol III”) – which outlaws the use of incendiary devices in war –
in 2007.
Moreover, the 1925 Geneva Protocol (which is different from Protocol
III) prohibits “the use in war of asphyxiating, poisonous or other
gases”. The U.S. National Safety Council states that “White phosphorus is a poison . . . If its combustion occurs in a confined space, white phosphorus will remove the oxygen from the air and render the air unfit to support life . . . It is considered a dangerous disaster hazard because it emits highly toxic fumes. The EPA has listed white phosphorus as a Hazardous Air Pollutant. Indeed, it is interesting to note that the U.S. previously called white phosphorous a chemical weapon when Saddam used it against the Kurds.

Israel artillery has fired back at Syria after gunfire hit an Israeli
military vehicle in the Golan Heights. The incident comes amid high
tensions in the region as Israel is waging an offensive against Gaza
while civil war continues in Syria.
No one was injured in the exchange of fire on Sunday, the Israeli
military said. This has been the latest spillover of violence from
Syria, where rebel fighters are trying to topple the regime of Bashar
Assad.
Barak: Ground attack may happen very soon ~ link ~ Israel keeps the 1.7 million people in Gaza in a open air concentration camp. Defense Minister Ehud Barak hinted Sunday that a ground assault on Hamas in Gaza is imminent.
"The forces are ready. Everything is prepared, there will be food for
everyone, excellent equipment, trained soldiers, the reserves are being
absorbed quickly and we will carry out anything that is needed to
ensure the aims of the operation are achieved," Barak said.

The lifeless body of a child was
pulled from the wreckage today amid screams of grief as 10 civilians
were killed in a strike on a Palestinian family home by Israeli forces.
Israel
is preparing for a possible ground invasion of Palestine while Israeli
warplanes and warships have bombed militant targets in the Gaza strip
for a fifth day.
Air raids
have continued, with warships shelling from the sea, and two pre-dawn
attacks on houses in a refugee camp in Palestine killing two children
and wounding 13 others.
In
one of the latest attacks, women and young children were killed as a
strike flattened a two-story building of the Daloo family in Gaza City.
It is the highest civilian death toll in a single incident during five days of fighting.

Stirling, you are out of your mind. Israel gave Gaza back and they militarized it. Islam is a satanic perversion of Judaism and Christianity. Militarized, too.
