Holy Shroud of Turin

I have a very sick kitten named Victoria, if you could, please remember this kitten to God in your prayers.  Thanks, Tim Earl of Stirling

War Drums for Syria by Congressman Ron Paul ~ link ~ War drums are beating again in Washington. This time Syria is in the crosshairs after a massacre there last week left more than 100 dead. As might be expected from an administration with an announced policy of "regime change" in Syria, the reaction was to blame only the Syrian government for the tragedy, expel Syrian diplomats from Washington, and announce that the US may attack Syria even without UN approval. Of course, the idea that the administration should follow the Constitution and seek a Declaration of War from Congress is considered even more anachronistic now than under the previous administration.

There is ample reason to be skeptical about US government claims amplified in mainstream media reports. How many times recently have lies and exaggerations been used to push for the use of force overseas? It was not long ago that we were told Gaddafi was planning genocide for the people of Libya and the only way to stop it was a US attack. Those claims turned out to be false but by then the US and NATO had already bombed Libya, destroying its infrastructure, killing untold numbers of civilians and leaving a gang of violent thugs in charge.

Syrian Army causalities rise as West inflames civil war ~ link ~ The Syrians will not indefinably sit still as their enemies try to destroy the Syrian nation.  Stirling

As the US and its allies among the NATO powers and Persian Gulf monarchies step up their campaign for regime change, the number of soldiers killed in Syria has risen sharply, even as over-all casualties have fallen.

As many as 100 soldiers were killed in the suburbs of Damascus and in Idlib province over the weekend according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a London-based outfit reportedly funded by the Saudi and Qatari regimes.

French bishop: Syrian soldiers face foreign fighters, mercenaries and militants ~ link ~ The US, NATO, Israeli, and Gulf State-backed "heroic" Free Syrian Army has been accused by Syria's Christian community and its foreign affiliates of waging a sectarian, not "pro-democratic" war on the Syrian people. French Bishop Philip Tournyol Clos stated, "the picture for us is utter desolation: the church of Mar Elian is half destroyed and that of Our Lady of Peace is still occupied by the rebels. Christian homes are severely damaged due to the fighting and completely emptied of their inhabitants, who fled without taking anything. The area of Hamidieh is still shelter to armed groups independent of each other, heavily armed and bankrolled by Qatar and Saudi Arabia. All Christians (138,000) have fled to Damascus and Lebanon, while others took refuge in the surrounding countryside."

Christians in Syria have been particularly hit hard by what is being described as "ethnic cleansing," not by Syrian security forces, but by NATO-backed death squads under the banner of the "Free Syrian Army." The LA Times has been quietly reporting on the tragedy of Syria's minorities at the hands of the Syrian rebels for months - and indicates that wider genocide will take place, just as it is now in Libya, should Syria's government collapse under foreign pressure.

Bishop Philip Tournyol Clos continued by stating, "the enemies of Syria have enlisted some of the Muslim Brotherhood in order to destroy the brotherly relations that traditionally existed between Muslims and Christians: Yet, to date, they are not able to: they have provoked a contrary reaction and the two communities are more united than before. The Syrian soldiers in fact, continue to face foreign fighters, mercenaries Libyans, Lebanese militants from the Gulf, Afghans, Turks".

GOP Vice-President frontrunner Senator Rubio: We need to prepare people for War with Iran ~ link ~ This is a classic example of the type of worthless political whores who get elected in the now totally corrupt American system.  He is more than willing to blow up the world in WWIII, if he even thinks about it, to make the Zionists/AIPAC and globalists happy.  What a total evil and very dangerous jerk.   Stirling

Obama's War Doctrine ~ link ~ The concept of "Total War" - war involving not just the military but all civilians irrespective of age or sex, together with the entire infrastructure of a country - became a horrible reality during the 20th century, driven for the most part by steering scientific discoveries and technological progress towards unlimited use in warfare. Total War is very much alive today and is being spearheaded by the United States and its Allies. This is being abetted on all fronts by US, European and global mainstream media that willingly oblige.

In the case of Obama's Total War Doctrine, the media go along with US official policy, and describe the murder of innocent people who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when American democracy-building drone bombs fall, as "militant combatants".

You see, Total War requires intense and constant psychological warfare to convince public opinion - both at home and abroad - that "our boys" fighting "to spread peace and democracy", always do the "the right thing" by killing "the right people" who threaten America, Europe, Israel and the rest of the West; in other words, by only killing "militant terrorist combatants". That's the way Orwellian Newspeak has described US-led wars since 1945 - whether fought by the US alone, or together with allies like Britain, EU countries and Israel, or by puppet proxies. The list is very long: Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Dominican Republic, Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Iran, Africa, South America, Cambodia, Laos, Cuba, El Salvador, Falklands, Nicaragua, Grenada, Serbia...The death-toll runs into the tens of millions and has kept rising and rising.

Who's next? Syria, Iran? Sudan? North Korea? Venezuela?

China and Russia are united against intervention in Syria ~ link But China and Russia remain opposed to any effort to force Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad from power, a position their leaders re-stated again on Tuesday.

Former Mossad Chief: Attack on Iran would begin a Regional War ~ link ~ He knows that the globalists plan to sacrifice his nation and people to begin the Third World War so that they can usher in their New World Order.  Stirling
Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan has warned about the consequences of an Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that it will spark a regional war.

“A strike is simplistic and misleading. No one asks what will happen five minutes after the strike? Five minutes after (the strike) we have a regional war,” Dagan said on Monday, Ynetnews reported.

Europe Financial Fiasco: Migrating to the United States ~ link ~ Few Americans realize that the Great Depression started in Europe.
Now as then, the global economy is fragile.
The economy is clearly vulnerable to a debilitating wave of debt deflation. The threat is approaching quickly from an important source: Europe. The same sequence of events occurred in 1929, when deflation started overseas before lapping onto U.S. shores. In Germany, for instance, real GDP fell 1% in 1929 after growing 8.2% in 1927 and 2.8% in 1928. Other economic indicators peaked as early as 1927. At the time, economically-weak Germany was the equivalent of today's so-called PIIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain).
Financial Forecast , January 2012

Lending in France also began to decline as early as 1927-28. And about a year before the October 1929 crash, net capital inflows fell in several European countries. In other words: European economies began to deteriorate before the Great Depression began in the U.S.

Apocalypse Europe: A full scale European led global financial crisis ~ link ~ I believe that the globalists want to crash the global economy BEFORE they begin WWIII in Syria/Iran/Lebanon, shortly before.  Stirling

A Political/Fiscal Union for the EU ~ link ~ Germany Is Open to Pooling Debt, With Conditions ... Pressed by a banking crisis and turmoil in the markets, Germany has indicated that it is prepared to accept a grand bargain that would provide greater support for its most indebted euro zone partners in exchange for more centralized control over government spending in Europe ... The German chancellor, Angela Merkel, said that finding the way to "more Europe, not less" was the next task for Europe's leaders. "The world wants to know how we expect the political union to complement the currency union," Ms. Merkel said at a news conference here Monday with José Manuel Barroso, the president of the European Commission. "We have to find an answer in the foreseeable future." РNew York Times

One would think that having bankrupted half of Europe, the Masters of the Euro-verse would be having second thoughts about plunging ahead. Not so. The only thing that will do is MORE union, says Ms. Angela Merkel, Germany's Iron Chancellor.

The world wants to know how a "political union" will complement an economic one. Really? Where exactly did Ms. Merkel meet this "world"? How did she communicate with it? Did she look it in the eye? It's a pretty big place; what did she stand on? Does it even have an "eye"? Let alone two ...
No, this is rhetorical nonsense. She is groping for answers, but there is no answer. There is likely – as we often postulate – only a tiny power elite that controls central banks and wants to create an official world government as well. And Ms. Merkel apparently works for them.

SS Euro is taking on serious water ~ link ~ The SS €uro is taking serious water. At the hastily called EU Summit Captains meeting on the Brussels Bridge, it was agreed that the best course of action, despite the worsening waves of bank runs, was to simply instruct the orchestra to continuing playing the same old familiar tune and order the rearrangement of the deck chairs.

However, all the captains somberly recognized there were neither sufficient lifeboats nor anyone willing to come to their rescue. As usual they were in complete disagreement on what to do, they knew they had insufficient resources for anything dramatic and they were well aware the public passengers had no tolerance for any cold water austere attempts for the sake of survival.

21 Signs that this could be long, hot, crazy Summer for the Global Financial System ~ link ~ The summer of 2012 is shaping up to be very similar to the summer of 2008.  Things look incredibly bleak for the global economy right now.  Economic activity and lending are slowing down all over the planet, and fear is starting to paralyze the entire global financial system.  Things did not look this bad back in the summer of 2011 and things certainly did not look this bad back in the summer of 2010.  It is almost as if a "perfect storm" is brewing.  Today, the global financial system is a finely balanced pyramid of risk, debt and leverage.  Such a system requires a high degree of confidence and stability.  But when confidence disappears and fear and panic take over, the house of cards can literally start collapsing at any time.  Right now we are watching a slow-motion train wreck unfold and nobody seems to know how to stop it.  Unless some kind of a miracle happens, things are going to look much different when we reach the start of 2013 than they do today.

The following are 21 signs that this could be a long, hot, crazy summer for the global financial system....

G7 is Concerned about Euro Collapse - Sure they are ~ link ~ The Earth is falling and the Eurozone is wobbling. Brussels is worried, Germany is intransigent and Washington is "concerned." The proximate cause of these worried brows is a dysfunctional continent-wide union that had no reason to exist, no popular mandate to expand and no certainty that what is occurring now shall not repeat again, in one form or another, in the future.

As we've pointed out before, the EU is a blossoming fascist state with little direct democracy, a judicial system verging on the Napoleonic Code (guilty until prove innocent), an expanding Euro-army and a determination to wiretap, chip and generally track individuals throughout the continent.
It is this nascent authoritarian nightmare that the US and the G7 are "concerned" about. A union that has brought bloodshed, agony and bankruptcy to its entire southern flank; a monetary union that now needs a political union to ensure its survival. This is surely a power elite dominant social theme. One can see the gears grinding as this promotion lurches along. The elites want to run the world and they frighten people into going along by using fear-based memes.

The EU's collapse is a perfect example of this theme. From our point of view, increasingly, this entire affair was orchestrated by those who are now "concerned" about the matter. The top elite families apparently control central banks around the world and it is child's play to involve their distribution arms (commercial banks) in a lending operation that causes a sovereign crisis.
Convenient, no? We're not supposed to ask why so many banks lent to obviously insolvent borrowers like Greece, Spain and Portugal. We are not supposed to ask why top bankers who disburse central banking did not understand the consequences of it. We are not supposed to ask why these same top money men – surely most of them with decades of experience – did not understand the booms and inevitable busts of fiat money.

Crashing the Operating System - Liquidity Crunch in Practice ~ link ~ 2008 was a practice run, or a warning shot across the bow, compared to what is coming over the next few years.

2008 did not demonstrate what a liquidity crunch really means, but this time we are going to find out. As with many aspects of financial crisis, Greece is the canary in the coalmine, demonstrating what happens when liquidity disappears and it ceases to be possible to connect buyers and sellers or producers and consumers.

As we have said before, and for a long time now, money is the lubricant in the engine of the economy in the way that motor oil is the lubricant in the engine of your car, and you know what will happen to your car if you drive it with the oil warning light on.

Financial Collapse At Hand ~ link ~ Ever since the beginning of the financial crisis and Quantitative Easing, the question has been before us:  How can the Federal Reserve maintain zero interest rates for banks and negative real interest rates for savers and bond holders when the US government is adding $1.5 trillion to the national debt every year via its budget deficits?  Not long ago the Fed announced that it was going to continue this policy for another 2 or 3 years. Indeed, the Fed is locked into the policy. Without the artificially low interest rates, the debt service on the national debt would be so large that it would raise questions about the US Treasury’s credit rating and the viability of the dollar, and the trillions of dollars in Interest Rate Swaps and other derivatives would come unglued.

In other words, financial deregulation leading to Wall Street’s gambles, the US government’s decision to bail out the banks and to keep them afloat, and the Federal Reserve’s zero interest rate policy have put the economic future of the US and its currency in an untenable and dangerous position.  It will not be possible to continue to flood the bond markets with $1.5 trillion in new issues each year when the interest rate on the bonds is less than the rate of inflation. Everyone who purchases a Treasury bond is purchasing a depreciating asset. Moreover, the capital risk of investing in Treasuries is very high. The low interest rate means that the price paid for the bond is very high. A rise in interest rates, which must come sooner or later, will collapse the price of the bonds and inflict capital losses on bond holders, both domestic and foreign.

The question is: when is sooner or later?  The purpose of this article is to examine that question.

Austerity Has NEVER Worked ~ link ~ It's not just about the current economic environment. History shows that slashing budgets always leads to recession

Europe Considers Centralized "Fiscal Union" ~ link ~ The Rothschilds and their ilk at work!   Stirling
What does this mean?  It is essentially the entire reason behind the engineered debt crisis!  Centralization is being offered as the ultimate solution to all our economic problems, from Asia, to the United States, to Europe.  Globalization caused our current crisis of interdependency and collapse, but of course, the banking elites would like us to believe that full spectrum globalization will somehow put our minds at ease...

5 Million farmers sue Monsanto for $7.7 billion ~ link ~ Launching a lawsuit against the very company that is responsible for a farmer suicide every 30 minutes, 5 million farmers are now suing Monsanto for as much as 6.2 billion euros (around 7.7 billion US dollars). The reason? As with many other cases, such as the ones that led certain farming regions to be known as the ‘suicide belt’, Monsanto has been reportedly taxing the farmers to financial shambles with ridiculous royalty charges. The farmers state that Monsanto has been unfairly gathering exorbitant profits each year on a global scale from “renewal” seed harvests, which are crops planted using seed from the previous year’s harvest.

The practice of using renewal seeds dates back to ancient times, but Monsanto seeks to collect massive royalties and put an end to the practice. Why? Because Monsanto owns the very patent to the genetically modified seed, and is charging the farmers not only for the original crops, but the later harvests as well. Eventually, the royalties compound and many farmers begin to struggle with even keeping their farm afloat. It is for this reason that India slammed Monsanto with groundbreaking ‘biopiracy’ charges in an effort to stop Monsanto from ‘patenting life’.

These two traps are absolutely destroying the Next Generation of Young Men in America ~ link Have you ever noticed that our young girls seem to be far ahead of our young boys and that our young women seem to be much more "together" than our young men are?  Have you ever noticed how many young American men almost seem like zombies and find even the most basic human interactions extremely awkward?  Well, this didn't happen by accident.  Researchers are finding that there are two traps in particular that are absolutely destroying the next generation of young men in America.  One is video game addiction and the other is pornography.  In the old days, the parks and ball fields of America would be flooded with young boys after school was done for the day, but now our parks and our ball fields are very quiet.  So where did all the boys go?  Well, they are all sitting at home staring into computer screens.  Yes, there are also young girls and young women that are addicted to these things, but the truth is that these addictions are far more prevalent among young men.  Unfortunately, it is not going to be easy to reverse the damage that is being done to the next generation of young men in America, and that is very frightening.

These days, most parents don't consider video game addiction to be a major crisis.  Many parents are just glad to have something that will keep their children occupied and out of their hair.

But the truth is that video game addiction is very serious.  One study discovered that 88 percent of all Americans between the ages of 8 and 18 play video games, and that approximately four times as many boys are addicted to video games as girls are.

"Casserole" protests in support of  Quebec students spread across Canada ~ linkA new form of protest, “casserole” demonstrations, emerged last month in response to the Quebec Liberal government’s imposition of Bill 78—a draconian law that criminalizes the four-month-old province-wide student strike and places sweeping new restrictions on the right to demonstrate whatever the cause.

Initially promoted by only a handful of individuals through social media, the call for people to congregate in their neighbourhoods and bang on pots and pans so as to support the striking students and oppose Bill 78 struck a chord. Over the course of a few days, the nightly casserole protest mushroomed across working class districts of Montreal. Thousands of people poured into the streets, defying the new restrictions on demonstrations and voicing their opposition to the Liberal government.

$1.6 Trillion more debt: Fiscal conservatives have been raped by the GOP ~ link ~ There is only one party in America or the UK and many other nations: That is the party of the global banksters...they have all the money on Earth to buy off the political crooks and to put their crooks into office.  The rest is political theater for the sheeple.   Stirling
What the Republican Party has done to fiscal conservatives over the past year and a half has been a betrayal so vast that it is difficult to find words to describe it.  Back in 2010, the Tea Party was riding high and a flood of new Republicans was sent to the U.S. House of Representatives in one of the greatest landslides in U.S. political history.  On election night 2010, more House seats changed hands than in another other election since 1948.  It was the greatest defeat for any sitting president in a midterm election since 1938.  After the election, the Democrats were left with fewer House seats than at any other time since 1946.  Needless to say, it was an absolutely historic election.  The Tea Party completely dominated American politics that night, and they sent the Republican Party a clear message that they wanted government debt to be brought under control.  So what has changed since then?  Not much.  The U.S. government is still running trillion dollar deficits every single year.  I have previously spent a lot of time blaming Barack Obama and the Democrats for this, but the truth is that they could not have spent a single penny without the approval of the U.S. House of Representatives.  So the Republican Party is complicit in this crime against the American people.  If there was ever a mandate to take a stand against runaway government debt, it was after the 2010 election, and the Republican Party has failed miserably.  So what are fiscal conservatives supposed to do now?
As CNS News recently pointed out, the U.S. national debt has increased by approximately 1.6 trillion dollars over the past 15 months.  This Congress has added more to the national debt than the first 97 Congresses combined....

Fukushima radiation hitting the streets of LA ~ link Right after Chernobyl blew its top, Edward Teller said on the ABC Evening News in late April 1986, “The chances of a real calamity at a nuclear power station are infinitesimally small. But should it happen, the consequences are impossible to imagine.” The plume from the burning graphite at Chernobyl initially traveled in a northwest direction toward Sweden, Finland and Eastern Europe, exposing the public to levels up to 100 times the normal background radiation.

Hope Burwell wrote, “On my first trip to Chernobyl in November 2000, I spent three days touring schools in Cherikov and the even more contaminated areas of the Mogilev district. Then we traveled to children’s hospitals in Minsk. What I saw there still shows up in nightmares: children with eyes in the sides of their heads, and children with no eyes at all, children with fingers that look like toes and children whose genitals are so poorly formed one can’t determine their sex. Those nightmares are audible with infant wails like the cries of wounded wild animals.”

i think worth adding to this chain of news is a happy one. If you get 20 minutes of sun you get about 200 glasses of milk in vitamin D- recent peer reviewed studies show that the d-vitamin levels in todays youth and people in general have the lowest vitamin d levels ever recorded. Sunlight gives you vitamin d. in fact the vitamin d you need can be had if you get 20 minutes of sun each day. why is that? It seems nature wants you to have high level of vitamin d in your body. Keep in mind longer time in the sun might burn you and that is not what you are after. So 20 minutes in the sun - good for preempting a lot of symptoms of vitamin d sufficiency. Learned about it yesterday on the live venus transit small talk. Fun and useful , verified fact. So 20 minutes in the sun each day.
