Egypt poised to join Russian alliance - with video ~ link ~ If this is true, then it is a profound case of 'blowback'...a term used for an intelligence operation which ends up in results that harm the interests of those setting in-motion things in the first place.  The 'Arab Spring' was devised by the CIA and Mossad to get at assorted Middle East powers that they did not control.   Stirling

A prominent political activist says Egypt’s move to declare Israel as its first enemy may push Washington to cut aid to Cairo, but will open an opportunity to befriend Moscow.

The Egyptian parliament has voted for a motion which calls Israel the first enemy of Egypt.  The text -- approved by the parliament’s lower house -- calls for the expulsion of Israel’s ambassador to Cairo and recalling of Egypt’s envoy to Tel Aviv.

Lawmakers also voted for a halt to natural gas exports to Israel and called on the government to revise all of its agreements with Tel Aviv.

Haaretz:  Netanyahu uses Holocaust references to blur the injustices of the Occupation ~ link
Benjamin Netanyahu is not a distinguished statesman, nor is he an outstanding decision maker. But the man twice elected prime minister of Israel, and likely to be elected a third time, knows a thing or two about public relations. It is hard to believe that last week, as he prepared the Auschwitz letters ahead of his address to the AIPAC conference, he did not anticipate the criticism of left wingers and columnists about cheapening the Holocaust and sowing panic over an Iranian nuclear bomb that does not yet exist. He anticipated it and derided it. From his perspective, rightly so; even after 67 years, the Holocaust works on Jews.

Associations with the Holocaust help ease digestion of the injustices of the occupation and increase support for Israel. Thoughts of Auschwitz blur the images of the bodies of Palestinian children killed in the Jewish air force's bombing of Gaza. It is scientific.

Rehearsals in Syria and Gaza for Iranian - Israeli showdown ~ linkThe ground Iran won this week from the Syrian army’s Idlib victory against the rebels was lost in the less important Israeli confrontation with Tehran’s Palestinian surrogate Jihad Islami in the Gaza Strip, ..... They were all testing the ground for the still unfolding Israeli-Iranian clash.

Greek state workers protest government austerity measures ~ link Employees of the Development Ministry occupied the building in protest against the closure of public organizations.

Workers with state mental health clinics and day cares also held separate rallies outside the country’s Health Ministry. The institutions the workers are employed at are expected to be closed down as part of spending cuts.

England could bomb Scottish airports ~ linkSounds like the Tories are getting scared about the independence for Scotland vote!   Stirling
Lord Fraser, a former minister in John Major's government, insisted that if the Scottish people voted yes to the independence of Scotland, it would be left undefended, and therefore England’s enemies would use Scotland as a base for launching air strikes over the border.

"If that were to happen what alternative would England have but to come and bomb the hell out of Glasgow airport and Edinburgh airport," Fraser said.

Former Solicitor General for Scotland, who has apparently put the UK government’s anti-independence campaign in practice, also claimed that the Scottish National Party’s (SNP) plan to remove UK nuclear forces from Scotland and reducing the country’s navy to “fishery protection vessels” would turn Scotland into a warzone.

Who Decided That It Would Be A Good Idea... ~ link ~ Please do take the time to read this excellent short article at the link.  Stirling

Do you have faith in the people running this nation?  When answering that question, most people would bash either the Democrats or the Republicans, but my question goes much deeper than that.  Power is constantly shifting back and forth between the two major political parties, and it seems like things don't really change no matter who is in power.  What I am asking is if you have faith in the entire system.  Do you have faith in the U.S. government, the Federal Reserve, the state governments, the local governments, our public schools and our financial system?  Do you believe that the people that are running things in this country are doing a good job?  When you look at the results, it is hard to argue that those in power are making good decisions.  In fact, this country is caught in such a downward spiral that it would be easy to argue that most of our politicians should immediately resign in disgrace.  Our leaders just keep coming up with one bad idea after another.  Sometimes it almost seems as though it would be better for our leaders to do absolutely nothing at all because every time they try to do something they only make things worse.

Posted below are a few dozens questions that reveal the stupidity of the people running this nation.  The truth is that the list below could be much, much longer.  If the founders of this nation could see us now they would be absolutely disgusted with us.

As you read the following list of questions, try to think about what the answers might be....

Who decided that it would be a good idea for the Federal Reserve to pay banks not to lend money to U.S. businesses and U.S. consumers?

Who decided that it would be a good idea to become so dependent on foreign oil?  The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States is now $3.80.

Who decided that it would be a good idea for the United States to have the highest incarceration rate in the entire world?

Who decided that it would be a good idea to allow private companies to run many of our prisons?

Who decided that it would be a good idea to put large amounts of "pink slime" into the school lunches of America's school children?

Broken Promises: Pensions all over America are being savagely cut or are vanishing completely ~ link ~ America is being destroyed by the Global Banking
Cartel and their agents before our very eyes!  Stirling

How would you feel if you worked for a state or local government for 20 or 30 years only to have your pension slashed dramatically or taken away entirely?  Well, this exact scenario is playing out from coast to coast and in the years ahead millions of elderly Americans are going to be affected by broken promises and vanishing pensions.  In the old days, things were much different.  You would get hired by a big company or a government institution and you knew that the retirement benefits that they were promising you would be there when you retired in a few decades.  Unfortunately, we have now arrived at a time when government institutions and big companies have promised far more than they are able to deliver, and "pension reform" has become one of the hot button issues all over the nation.  Many Americans that have been basing their financial futures on their pensions are waking up one day and finding that their pensions are either gone or have been cut back dramatically.  According to Northwestern University Professor John Rauh, the latest estimate of the total amount of unfunded pension and healthcare obligations for state and local governments across the United States is 4.4 trillion dollars.  America is continually becoming a poorer nation and all of that money is simply not going to magically materialize somehow.  So where is that 4.4 trillion dollars going to come from?  Well, either pension benefits are going to have to be cut a lot more all over America or taxes will need to be raised dramatically.  Either way, we are all going to feel the pain of these broken promises.

There simply is not enough money out there to keep all of the pension commitments that have been made.  Something has got to give.  In the end, millions of elderly Americans will likely be plunged into poverty as pensions disappear.
