US Warns Iran NOT To Fight Back Against Israeli Attack ~ link ~ Right...that will work...what total bullshit! What would we do if the Russians told America not to fight back against a Chinese attack?!!  Take the time to read all of this important article at the link.  Stirling

It now appears that the United States has almost finalized getting all its ducks in a row in preparation for Israel’s assault on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The Washington Post article makes it clear that the Obama administration will stand by while Tel Aviv leads the attack. The US will only become overtly involved if “Iran hits U.S. assets” or if “Israel’s population centers were hit”.

In other words, if Iran attempts to fight back in any way, which is all but inevitable, the US will join the attack. The Obama administration will then think itself justified in telling the American people that the US acted in self-defense, when in reality such a series of coordinated events is absurdly obvious.

“I can’t say clearly enough that what the U.S. has signaled in Ignatius’ report is that if Iran is attacked, it may not strike back against its attacker,” writes Richard Silverstein. “If it does, the U.S. will rain down hellfire and damnation on it. This is frightening beyond measure. I’ve never known the U.S. to lay down such a principle which virtually assures our joining in a war against Iran. Israeli policymakers will be delighted to read these words.”

Iran bracing for war? ~ link ~ Hundreds of concrete-piercing bombs have been supplied to a US military base on the Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, and two US aircraft carrier battle groups are currently on a mission in the Gulf.  They are expected to be strengthened by one more aircraft carrier, the Annapolis nuclear-powered submarine and the Momsen destroyer. A US military base in Qatar already sees the stationing of several bombers, cargo planes and long-range drones. In the meantime, France and Britain have also dispatched their troops to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

All this indicates the US’ and Israel’s readiness to use force against Iran, believes Professor Sergei Druzhilovsky of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

"A military conflict [in Iran] may well be on cards, Druzhilovsky says, referring to Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya where the US military practiced military aspects of blitzkrieg and pinpoint attacks. The problem, however, is that unlike Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran has no fifth column, a group of people who are, along with America, ready to topple the regime. In this regard, pinpoint air strikes on Iran are irrelevant because there is nothing to bomb in the Islamic Republic, and because the main goal is to depose the regime which remains a major irritant both for America and the West. And the question is whether Iranian people are ready to fend off an aggression or not," Druzhilovsky concludes.

US Preparing Military Action Against Iran ~ linkWe know that in the Gulf there are two flattops surrounded by several dozens of American ships. And yesterday or the day before yesterday the nuclear submarine Annapolis, which is a very big one, and accompanied by several of the most advanced corvettes, entered the area. Of course there is the principle of rotation in the American system, but nevertheless the amount of naval forces they keep there is really spectacular. And it makes me personally believe that they are preparing something.

Now, coming to Iran. Iran of course has certain assets and these assets are connected with certain political movements and political organizations, which attack in retaliation the American and Israeli targets. But I don’t think Iran is initially aiming at attacking the United States, it is not in its interest. Secondly, the problem is – we are watching the final acts of the Syrian drama. The initial attack on Syria didn’t succeed, they are trying to undermine Syria and they are trying to deprive Syria of allies and some countries which could support it. Among these countries are Iran, Lebanon and the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon, and some other countries which are prepared to give political support to Syria to survive, I would say, the brazen attack on Syrian sovereignty.

Syria: Who is behind the "protest" movement?  Fabricating a pretest for a US-NATO "Humanitarian Intervention" ~ link ~ You know the Internet have given people an alternative to the mainstream news media.  Many people use the alternative news media to stay informed of what is really going on in the World.  What is so sad, however, is that such a large percentage of the normally educated populations of the West are too lazy and/or too stupid to make use of the alternative media and simply believe any lie that the globalists/Zionists dish out...Ignorance and Willful Ignorance is allowing the most evil forces imaginable to destroy not only our way of life, but placing in danger the entire human race from World War III.   Stirling

There is evidence of gross media manipulation and falsification from the outset of the protest movement in southern Syria on March 17th.

The Western media has presented the events in Syria as part of the broader Arab pro-democracy protest movement, spreading spontaneously from Tunisia, to Egypt, and from Libya to Syria.

Media coverage has focussed on the Syrian police and armed forces, which are accused of indiscriminately shooting and killing unarmed "pro-democracy" demonstrators. While these police shootings did indeed occur, what the media failed to mention is that among the demonstrators there were armed gunmen as well as snipers who were shooting at both the security forces and the protesters.

The death figures presented in the reports are often unsubstantiated. Many of the reports are "according to witnesses". The images and video footages aired on Al Jazeera and CNN do not always correspond to the events which are being covered by the news reports.

Russia still against anti-Syria UN resolution ~ link ~ Also see ~ link ~ Russia says it will not support the latest draft UN resolution on Syria, describing recent changes to the draft as insufficient.

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said Friday that despite changes taking some of Moscow's concerns into account, the country could not support the text in its current form.

Russia blocking UN Security Council resolution on Syria ~ link ~ Clearly then, one can understand why Russia, China, and other nations are hesitant to sign onto what seems to be more of a plot of foreign-destabilization aimed at long planned regime change in Syria, than any legitimate concerns about the government's alleged transgressions against an overtly armed, violent, and foreign-backed insurrection.

Businessweek notes that Russia's hesitation may be well-founded with Libya in hindsight. Of course in Libya, a UN no-fly zone designed to allow NATO forces to "protect" Libyan civilians from government atrocities later determined to be fabricated, immediately turned into close-air support for foreign armed Libyan Islamic Fighting Group terrorists who committed a documented array of atrocities as they starved out and destroyed entire Libyan cities. One such city, Tawarga, saw its entire population of 30,000 purged by NATO-backed rebels, leaving what the London Telegraph described as a "ghost town."

Officials Discuss Israel-Iran Showdown ~ link ~ As for the method of attack, many officials believed Israel would employ a "multi-pronged attack, using its fighter bombers as well as its Jericho missile force.

The officials explained that Israel has an intermediate Jericho missile – the Jericho II - which is capable of hitting targets up to 1,500 miles away, and would most likely be equipped with high explosives, which officials described as highly accurate.

Greece Draws The Line as unity government leaders refuse to cede to further Troika Austerity Demands ~ link ~ It appears that Greece will not even have to wait until the dreaded March 20 funding D-Day. As was earlier reported, Greek PM Lucas Papademos may resign if he is unable to persuade his coalition unity government to agree to further Troika demands for additional austerity. It now appears that there will be no agreement, and thus the primary demand from the Troika for further cash disbursement will not be met. The FT reports: "All three party leaders in Greece’s teetering national unity government have opposed new austerity measures demanded by international lenders, forcing eurozone finance ministers to postpone approval of a new €130bn bail-out and moving the country closer to a full-blown default. Representatives of the so-called “troika” – the European Commission, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund – have demanded further cuts in government jobs and severe reductions in Greek salaries, including an immediate 25 per cent cut in the €750 minimum monthly wage, before agreeing the new rescue. But representatives of all three coalition partners, including centre-left Pasok of former prime minister George Papandreou and the centre-right New Democracy of likely successor Antonis Samaras, said they were unwilling to back the government layoffs." Now we have been here before, and as a reminder the last time Greece threatened to pull out of Europe with the G-Pap referendum threat back in the fall, G-Pap was promptly replaced with the Trilateral Commission member and former ECB Vice President, Lucas Papademos. The problem is that for him to obtain power, he needed to form a coalition government. Well, that now appears to be in tatters, as not one party is willing to break to the Greeks that the minimum wage of €750 will be cut even further. The question is who will blink first this time, as it is quite likely that neither the Troika nor Greece want an out of control default. Unless, of course, this was Germany's plan B to the imposition of a Greek commissar all along...

US government reports 446,000 new jobs created when reality is 2.9 million jobs were lost  ~ link ~  Just a 'slight' statical us...NOT!   Stirling

We have examined the nuance of the euphoric jobs data this morning from every angle and by now there should be plenty of 'information' for investors to make their own minds up on its credibility. However, the avuncular CEO of TrimTabs, who despite channeling Lewis Black lately, likely knows this data a little better than the average Jim on the street having collected tax witholdings data for the past 14 years, is modestly apoplectic at the adjustments. In one of his more colorful episodes, and rightfully so, Charles Biderman notes that "Either there is something massively changed in the income tax collection world, or there is something very, very suspicious about today’s BLS hugely positive number," adding, "Actual jobs, not seasonally adjusted, are down 2.9 million over the past two months. It is only after seasonal adjustments – made at the sole discretion of the Bureau of Labor Statistics economists – that 2.9 million fewer jobs gets translated into 446,000 new seasonally adjusted jobs." A 3.3 million "adjustment" solely at the discretion of the BLS? And this from the agency that just admitted it was underestimating the so very critical labor participation rate over the past year? Finally, Biderman wonders whether the BLS is being pressured during an election year to paint an overly optimistic picture by President Obama’s administration in light of these 'real unadjusted job change' facts. Frankly, in light of recent discoveries about the other "impartial" organization, the CBO, we don't think there is any need to wonder at all.

Russian scientists drilling into Antarctic lake buried under ice for 20 million years have been out of radio contact for five days ~ link ~A team of Russian scientists has mysteriously lost contact with colleagues in the U.S. as they drill into a lake buried beneath the Antarctic ice for 20 million years.

The scientists had been battling conditions of minus 66C at Lake Vostok, as they raced to drill into a lake buried two miles beneath the ice before the weather closed in. The scientists hope the lake's untouched water will reveal more about life on our planet 20 million years ago.  The lake, in the most inhospitable region of the planet, is kept liquid by geothermal heat under the ice and its conditions are often described as 'alien' because they are thought to be akin to the subterranean lakes on Jupiter's moon Europa.

Will men stand up against the sex slave trade in Israel?  ~ link ~ Israel, which loves to promote itself as a Western European-like First World Nation has a massive sex slavery problem, that no other First World Nation has ever had.  You simply cannot have such a problem in a tiny nation like Israel without the government looking the other way.  These poor Eastern European girls are forced into sex slavery and the government is doing very little to stop it.  I think that a lot of this goes back to two things: (1) There is a high level of Eastern European Jewish Ghetto-type criminal element in the country including the national government and the culture (the Foreign Minister Lieberman is a former night club bouncer from Eastern Europe); (2) The belief (in the case of some Israelis) that the goy (non-Jews) are but two-legged soulless animals, and stealing from them is not stealing, and killing them is not killing, and raping them is not rape is a key part of the problem with the large sex slavery business and the treatment of the Arab population as well.   Stirling

Greetings Tim Earl of Stirling,
I discovered your blog about a year and a half ago being concerned about the loop/ocean current's predicament. I must say I look forward to reading the whole of it daily. A class act all the way and a man on a mission that I respect whole heartedly. My condolences on the loss of your dog, Teddy. We have an old pup ourselves-and don't we lov'em?

May humanity prevail.
May you and your's be happy and healthy always,

I don't understand why the Iranian leadership does not openly declare in will bomb dimona if the Israelis bomb bushehr.

Everybody will understand that's a reasonable threat.

It will disable the American threat in the sense that Public Opinion would not buy the 'self defense' bogus as mentioned in the article.
