US, UK, France, Turkey and Italy prepare for military intervention in Syria ~ link ~ They had damn well better prepare for World War III as well because that is what an intervention in Syria will trigger!  The Globalists and Netanyahu extreminsts are going to sidestep the UN Security Council, where both China and Russia have vetoed action against Syria in support of the foreign base Free Syrian Army's attempt to overthrow the existing elected government in Syria.  They are using a "Friends of Syria" group of 80 nations to organize the coming invasion.  This group will meet for the first time in Tunis tomorrow (Friday 24 Feb.).    Stirling

President Barack Obama is poised for a final decision after the Pentagon submits operational plans for protecting Syrian rebels and beleaguered populations from the brutal assaults of Bashar Assad’s army, debkafile’s Washington sources disclose.

Netanyahu's Moment of Truth ~ link ~ The Israel High Court of Justice has annulled the Tal Law which allowed the Ultra-Orthodox Jews in Israel to be free of military service.  Since the far right extremist Government of Bibi 666 Netanyahu depends on the votes of Ultra-Orthodox political parties, the complicated politics of Israel will result in an election being called this year.  That means that Bibi is far more apt to go to war sooner than later, as his time in the PM's office may be limited, and he is determined to have a war with Iran.   Stirling    

 

The decision has been made Tuesday evening: The High Court of Justice annulled the Tal Law, which will expire in August. Or in other words, the High Court decided that we shall go to elections this year.

This is a simple matter; one need not be a political genius to understand it: The High Court has now forced Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to come up with a genuine solution to the problem of drafting the haredim into the IDF.

US Ambassador (Dan Shapiro) to Israel: Planning underway for other 'options' on Iran ~ link ~ Not only are all options "on the table" regarding Iran, but planning is underway to ensure those other options can be used if it becomes necessary, US Ambassador Dan Shapiro said Thursday.

Shapiro, speaking to the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, said coordination between the US and Israel on Iran is extremely close, and included not only intelligence sharing and coordination at the political level, but also cooperation between the militaries to ensure that they have "done the necessary contingency planning."

An attack on Iran would be an act of criminal stupidity ~ link ~ War talk about Iran and its nuclear programme has been going on for so long it might be tempting to dismiss it as bluster. The mixed messages about Iran coming from the US and Israeli governments in recent weeks have become increasingly contradictory and bewildering. Maybe it's all a game of bluff and psychological warfare. Perhaps Iran's offer of new talks or this week's atomic energy inspectors' visit might lead to a breakthrough.

But the mood music has become more menacing. US defence secretary Leon Panetta has let it be known there is a "strong likelihood" Israel will attack Iran between April and June, even as Barack Obama says no Israeli decision has yet been taken. US officials told the Guardian last week they believed the administration would be left with "no alternative" but to attack Iran or watch Israel do so later this year.

Russia warns against 'catastrophic' Iran strike ~ link ~ Russia said it was particularly concerned that a strike against Iran could be launched from an air base the United States leases in Central Asia's ex-Soviet state of Kyrgyzstan. The US base at Manas is currently used as a key coalition hub for operations in nearby Afghanistan. "It cannot be excluded that this site could be used in a potential conflict with Iran," foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich told reporters. "We hope that such an apocalyptic scenario will not be realised." 



Israeli President Peres denies opposing Iran strike ~ link ~ In an extremely rare step, President Shimon Peres on Thursday afternoon publicly refuted a lead front page story that had been published in Haaretz that morning purporting to know what he will say about Iran to US President Barack Obama when the two meet in Washington next month.

As an opening statement in his address to the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations at the penultimate session of its convention in Jerusalem, Peres said that the story was more in the nature of imagination than information.
