In-Depth Photo Analysis of the Supposed RQ-170 Sentinel Drone in Iranian Hands ~ linkA very good analysis...bottom line is that he believes it to be real (75% probability rating).  Some of the newer technology that is covered in this article, about all-composite whole-airframe stealth technology, is stuff that I was involved in some 27 or so years ago.  That the Iranians have a top-secret RQ-170 and, it appears that they did manage to take control of it in mid-flight and land it (granted with some undercarriage damage/etc.) is rather Earth shaking.  These aircraft are often controlled from USAF bases located in the American mainland and the data streams (aircraft control and intelligence acquisition, etc.) are routed via multiple satellites and are almost certainly highly encrypted.   To take this bird, first they had to know where it was...no small feat...and then they had to have the ability to feed into the bird a override signal/s (blocking the original feed and substituting a new feed)...and they had to know the code used (which may or may not be one changed daily) and use the correct frequency-hopping  technology and perhaps know the code-of-the-day IFF (if one was used), and maybe disarm any self-destruct systems...etc.   All of that is not likely to have been pulled off by just the Iranians.  It had to have involved either the Chinese and/or the Russians, and that means a bigger involvement by them in this almost-war theater!   Stirling

Senior Iranian legislator: Iran able to decode US drone intelligence ~ link ~  Maybe...most likely, they can decode the on-board data.  The possession of the stealth spy drone is likely to be a great intelligence windfall.  One that Russia, China and several nations would like to get their hands on.  Stirling
"Since the hi-tech drone was downed, Americans have been seriously worried about the intelligence inside its systems, but they should know that the Islamic Republic of Iran will decode the intelligence and data existing in the drone systems by means of its highly-advanced technology," member of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi told FNA.

He reiterated that decoding the intelligence in the RQ-170 spy aircraft will provide the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed Forces with vitally important information.

Turkish 'Blue Berets' sent to Syrian border ~ link ~ The build-up of military forces on the Turkish-Syrian border is a really bad sign.   Any direct military conflict between Turkey and Syria is apt to invoke the treaty provisions of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) that requires all other NATO nations to militarily come to the aid of Turkey against any power or powers (such as Syria's allies Iran and perhaps Lebanon) in combat against it.  That is one major step towards a global war...World War III...and WWIII means Armageddon!   Stirling

The deployment came after Syria earlier this week sent tanks to its border with Turkey, saying they are to confront with terrorist elements attempting to cross into the Syrian territory via Turkey.

On Friday, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Ankara would not hesitate to insulate the region's security from the situation in Syria. Turkey shares a 560 mile border with Syria.
Confessions by Syrian rebels in which they admit to carrying out armed activities and killing people as well as security forces prove that recent developments in the country are to be seen as parts of an attempt to overthrow the current government and replace it with a US-backed regime.

Syrian opposition groups have also been interviewed by Israeli news outlets over the past months. The interviews clearly show the future Syria they envision, which will be developing relations with Tel Aviv.

This is while the Arab League resolution adopted against Syria has increased the unity of Syrians. Figures show that over the past weeks, nearly 12 million people have demonstrated in support of Syrian President Assad.

Iran: If it had been a fighter jet not a drone, US bases all across the world would have been pounded ~ link ~ Sounds like typical Iranian military BS.  However, since the issue has come up, could Iran attack a significant part of the 700+ overseas US military bases and even those in America itself?  I have to be careful here, not to give enemies ideas but is something like this possible???  The answer is yes.  Does Iran possess such technology?  Who knows!  It is not as impossible as it might seem, but would require a large and secret infrastructure.   Stirling

Meanwhile in an interview with the Fars News Agency today Iranian MP Esmaeil Kowsari , Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee deputy chairman, said if the downed U.S. spy drone had been a jet fighter, "conditions in the region would have changed by now" and Iran would have "pounded all U.S. military bases across the world."
