EU referendum: Rebels lose vote in Commons but seriously embarrass the Government - with video ~ link ~All Tory, Lib Dem and Labour MPs were instructed to oppose a motion for a vote on the UK's membership of the EU. In all, 483 fell in line, while 111 defied party whips, a majority of 372.

Labour leader Ed Miliband said the revolt, which could see two ministerial aides resigning, was a "humiliation" for Prime Minister David Cameron.

Largest ever EU rebellion rocks British PM ~ link ~ Cameron's government, which is against holding a referendum, in the end won the House of Commons vote 483-111 due to support from the Liberal Democrats -- the Conservatives' euro-friendly junior coalition partners -- and the main opposition Labour Party. David Cameron on Monday suffered his largest parliamentary rebellion since becoming prime minister as around 80 Conservative lawmakers defied their leader to vote in favour of holding a referendum on Britain's EU membership.

But the eurosceptic wing of the Conservative Party delivered Cameron a blow by ignoring whip pressure to vote in favour of a referendum in the biggest show of internal party dissent since he took office in May 2010.

Cameron shows the strain after biggest ever Tory mutiny on Europe ~ link ~ Not everybody is on-board the 'Rothschild Euro Special' ... next stop super-Europe/United States of Europe or financial chaos.   Stirling

Today a senior backbencher who defied the Government described its position on Europe as 'politically unsustainable' and potentially a 'game-changer' unless Mr Cameron gave assurances to backbenchers over what type of treaty changes would trigger a referendum under the Coalition's European Union Act. 'It appears now that the policy may be that only a big bang change would trigger a referendum; an incremental treaty change would not,' 1922 committee secretary Mark Pritchard told BBC Radio 4's Today programme.

What have we gotten for the Trillion Dollars we have spent on wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya ~ link ~ Well, we have managed to bankrupt ourselves, to kill a couple million local citizens and many of our own people, and to maim many many others for life, and we have made the bankers and arms manufactures richer, and, oh yes, we have served the devil who always desires the horrors and evils of war.  But for the average person, there has been nothing positive from the wars or the Trillion Dollars (actually more like Three Trillion Dollars) has come from it all.   Stirling

Over a trillion U.S. taxpayer dollars have been spent on wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.  Whether you are for the wars or against the wars, it is important for all of us to step back and evaluate what we have really gotten for all of that money.  In Libya, we have actually helped al-Qaeda forces that were shooting at U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan take over the country.  Now they have announced that they will be imposing strict Sharia law on all of Libya.  After 10 years of having our boys shot up in Afghanistan, the Afghan government is so "grateful" that they are publicly saying that they will side with Pakistan in any future war against the United States.  In Iraq, Islamic radicals are beheading and murdering dozens and dozens of Christians and the new Iraqi government seemingly can't wait to push the remaining U.S. soldiers out of the country.  We ran up well over a trillion dollars of new debt to "liberate" these countries, but are they really in better shape than they were before these wars?  Are we really in better shape than we were before these wars?
Today, the United States military has at least one base in more than half of all the nations on the planet.

The U.S. spends more than 7 times as much on the military as any other country on earth does.

Without a doubt, the United States will always need a strong military.  But with the national debt soaring to unprecedented heights, is it really wise for us to try to be the police of the entire globe?

Romania's former King Michael I  addresses Parliament ~ link ~ The former king of Romania has addressed parliament in Bucharest for the first time since he was forced to abdicate in 1947. Speaking on his 90th birthday, King Michael I called on politicians to strengthen democracy in Romania and restore the country's dignity. He received a standing ovation from many MPs. However, some government ministers, and President Traian Basescu, refused to attend the event.

Turkey Earthquake: Death toll passes 430 - with video ~ link ~ There have been many who are asking if this was a Scalar Warfare created earthquake and if so, was it a warning to Turkey to back off a war on Syria/General Middle East War.  I have not covered the Turkey quake story because I do not know if this is a natural event or if it is a Scalar Warfare event.  I have not seen any evidence.  Remember a number of nations have Scalar Warfare technology, including China and Russia.  The Russians are especially good at it, in that their system is highly mobile.  Has this earthquake pushed a war back, or even stopped a General Middle East War from happening???   Stirling

Saudi Arabia: Funeral held for Crown Prince Sultan ~ link ~ Thirty princes of the Royal House of Saud will now have the opportunity to vote on the next Crown Prince (who will effectively be the King as the current King is ill and very old).  Will they use this opportunity to place someone on the throne who will step back from a General Middle East War....now would be a good time to pray for events to unfold according to God's plan.   Stirling

A Saudi Game of Musical Chairs ~ link ~ With the Prince Sultan’s death, two posts are now vacant in Saudi Arabia; that of crown prince and defense minister, which he held since 2005 and 1962 respectively. For all practical purposes, King Abdullah’s younger brother Prince Nayef, 78, is the next in line for the throne.

Given the advanced age and medical condition of the first generation of Saudi royals, it is likely that a king will die every two or three years as what remains of King Abdul-Aziz’s children take their turn on the throne. As the crown is passed on, prosperity, stability and reforms will likely be slow.

New Obama Foreclosure Plan shifts fraud liability from Wall Street to taxpayers ~ link ~ Government by and for the Wall Street maggots/criminals!   Support the Occupy Wall Street Movement!    Stirling

The Obama administration is introducing a new program on Monday designed to lower monthly mortgage payments for more troubled homeowners.

But a key new condition in the plan would shift the financial liability for refinanced loans from Wall Street banks to the American taxpayer. And by focusing on lower payments, the program does not confront what housing experts view as the core problem in the foreclosure crisis -- borrower debt that exceeds the value of one's home.

Is she about to blow?  Scientists investigate riddle of rapidly inflating volcano ~ linkResearchers from several U.S. universities say Uturuncu, which rises 6,000 meters in southwest Bolivia, is blowing up like a big balloon as its magma chamber grows around 10 times faster than normal.

'It's one of the fastest uplifting volcanic areas on Earth,' said Oregon State University professor, Shan de Silva.

China may resort to force in Sea Disputes ~ link China’s neighbors should prepare “for the sounds of cannons” if they don’t temper their positions in territorial disputes over the South China Sea, the state-run Global Times newspaper said in an editorial today.

Countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines and South Korea should not take China’s “mild diplomatic stance” for granted as they seek to resolve conflicting territorial claims, the newspaper said. The government distanced itself from the report today, saying it didn’t represent its views.

"Stage Two" of the BP Gulf of Mexico Environmental Disaster ~ linkIn an explosive report at Sky Truth, John Amos reveals from government data that “there are currently 24,486 known permanently abandoned wells in the Gulf of Mexico, and 3,593 ‘temporarily’ abandoned wells, as of October 2011.” [6]  Over a year ago, the Dept. of Interior promised to plug the “temporarily abandoned” (TA) wells, and dismantle another 650 production platforms no longer in use. [7] At an estimated decommissioning cost of $1-3 billion [8], none of this work has been started, though Feds have approved 912 permanent abandonment plans and 214 temporary abandonment plans submitted since its September 2010 rule. [9]

Leaking abandoned wells pose a significant environmental and economic threat. TA wells are those temporarily sealed so that future drilling can be re-started. Both TA wells and “permanently abandoned” (PA) wells endure no inspections. Over 600 of those abandoned wells belong to BP, reported the Associated Press last year. “Experts say abandoned wells can repressurize, much like a dormant volcano can awaken. And years of exposure to sea water and underground pressure can cause cementing and piping to corrode and weaken.”
