Turkey preparing military intervention in Syria ~ link ~ This is a good article, please take the time to read it all at the link.  Stirling

Turkey is playing a major role in preparing a military push on NATO’s behalf into Syria, exploiting and militarising the ongoing popular protests against the repressive Assad regime in order to install an imperialist-backed puppet regime.

The unrest in Syria, now in its seventh month, has been largely led by Islamist forces sponsored by the Gulf monarchies, particularly Saudi Arabia. Turkey’s intervention threatens a full-blown civil war and a wider conflagration in the region.

Saudi Prince Nayef's rise in tune with Muslin Brotherhood's regional takeover ~ link ~ I have no proof, just a strong suspicion, but I believe that it is likely that the Crown Prince did not die a natural death.  Yes I know he was in his 80s and ill, but I find this all too convenient.  I was thinking only the day before he died, that if you wanted to change the direction of events in Saudi Arabia, you would need to change the Crown Prince, as the King is ill and bedridden and not apt to last for long.  It will be very interesting to see who is appointed the new Crown Prince.  If it is Prince Nayef, expect the Saudi drive against Iran/Syria/Lebanon/Palestine to expand.  If it is someone else, it may signal that many of the House of Saud princes oppose the drive to Regional War that the King and Prince Nayaf are supporting along with the Global Banking Cartel, Israel, and their US/NATO puppets.   Stirling

Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz's long-expected passing aged 87 in New York Saturday, Oct. 22 could not have happened at a more auspicious time for his presumed successor, Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, to move up as next in line to the throne after King Abdullah.

The frontrunner for Crown Prince also maintains cordial relations with foreign Muslim Brotherhood chapters. Since the Brothers appear to be on their way to power in the new societies thrown up by the Arab "spring" – a trend with which President Barack Obama sympathizes – Nayef is the right man at the right time to lead the oil kingdom into integration with the dominant trend.

The Christians of the Orient Stand Up Against the New Western Colonialism  ~ link ~ An interesting article.  It confirms (from a Roman Catholic perspective) the overall view of the Orthodox priest from Chicago, that I had on Dr. Deagle's NutriMedical Report show a couple of weeks ago (when I was guest hosting it while Dr. Deagle was on vacation), that the Syrian people strongly support the Assad government.  This article also has some interesting information in it regarding the Muslin Brotherhood (see the above article on the death of the Saudi Crown Prince and his soon to be selected replacement).  It also fits in with what private sources have told me concerning the persecution of Christians in Egypt, and the rise of the Muslin Brotherhood there.  Keep in mind that a long-term goal of the globalists and Israelis is to get the Christians and the Muslims to kill one another off.  Stirling

The war against Syria, planned by the United States, France and the United Kingdom for mid-November 2011, has been blocked in extremis by the Russian and Chinese vetoes at the Security Council. According to Nicolas Sarkozy, who informed the Maronite Patriarch of the matter during a stormy meeting at the Elysée Palace on 5 September 2011, the plan contemplates the expulsion of Middle East Christians by the Western powers. In this context a press campaign is underway in Europe to accuse the Christians of the Orient of collusion with the dictatorships. Mother Agnès-Mariam of the Cross, mother superior of the monastery of James the Mutilated in Qara (Syria) responds to this war propaganda.

Thierry Meyssan: The western Catholic press is staging an all-out attack against the new Maronite Patriarch and his hostile reaction to an international intervention for regime change in Syria. His detractors accuse him of collaboration with the “dictatorship of the Assad’s”. Is it true that the Christian minority in the Middle-East is afraid of democracy?
Mother Agnès-Mariam of the Cross: I am disappointed by the Catholic press which blindly follows the tendency dictated by the masters of the world and that just repeats like a parrot what the mainstream media spreads. It is sad that in these difficult times we first have to explain ourselves to our Christian brothers who are completely caught up in misconceptions, misunderstandings and disinformation; a part for a few exceptions whose courage I salute.

Thierry Meyssan: The Syrian National Transitional Council (SNC), which was constituted in Turkey, is dominated by the Muslim Brothers. The Brotherhood has always been severely repressed by Damascus and their historic stronghold cities are now at the heart of the protests. The Muslim Brothers want to impose a modern version of the Sharia. Doesn’t their concern for restoring moral values coincide with the aspirations of a lot of Christian movements?
Mother Agnès-Mariam of the Cross: I deplore the fact that the so-called opponents didn’t accept President Bashar Al-Assad’s invitation to debate with him the series of reforms which he is in the process of carrying out. Instead, this opposition turned its back on all negotiations, not only by their declarations, but by taking up arms, by perpetrating bombing attacks, and other violent acts. The SNC does not represent a natural emanation of the real aspirations of the Syrian people for their legitimate rights, but as the artificial product of a secret collaboration with interests going beyond Syrian borders.
The Alliance between the Muslim Brothers and the West is a scandal for the Christians and the Muslims who don’t want religious matters to encroach on their civil rights. In secular regimes, established after colonialism amidst the pan-Arabic frenzy, everybody was relieved to see the establishment of a certain distance between religion and state. Now, while the Westerners rightly reject the overlap of state and religion at home, they see fit to promote it here to overthrow secular regimes! That’s what frightens the majority of the Syrian people. The implementation of Sharia law in its entirety, as advocated by the Muslim Brothers, will lead to regimes which are theocratic, obsolete and obscurantist, like that of Saudi-Arabia. How can we accept such a regression in the 21th century? And what kind of modernization can the Muslim Brothers bring to the Sharia which, being of divine nature, cannot be mitigated or rectified by any human power?
I suspect that there is a hidden collusion between the neo-colonial interests of the West and the mental violence exerted by way of the Sharia. In spite of their democratic pretenses, the Western powers unfortunately have to rely on a system which helps them to subjugate the masses on the pretext of piety or fidelity to religion. In short, the Western powers are afraid of the Christians who, according to the teachings of the Gospel, are free to choose to do Good or Evil and are left with their dignity as reasonable human beings, responsible for their thoughts, words and actions, which is not the case in Muslim fundamentalism.

Afghanistan to back Pakistan if war breaks out with US says President Karzai ~ link ~ Afghanistan would support Pakistan in case of military conflict between Pakistan and the United States, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said in an interview to a private Pakistani TV channel broadcast on Saturday.

"God forbid, If ever there is a war between Pakistan and America, Afghanistan will side with Pakistan," he said in the interview to Geo television. "If Pakistan is attacked and if the people of Pakistan needs Afghanistan's help, Afghanistan will be there with you."

'Afghans will stand by Pakistan in war' ~ link ~ What is happening in the Middle East and southwest Asia is that battle lines are being drawn for World War III and the movements of events are beginning to move very fast now.  People look past the official press releases of high level meetings and tie it all together.  I am an analysis.  I look at geopolitical/strategic/economic patterns.  What I see is GLOBAL WAR nearing and it beginning in the Middle East and southwest Asia, and soon!   Stirling

Afghan President Hamid Karzai says that Afghanistan is strictly opposed to any US attack on Pakistan and will stand by Islamabad if Washington takes such an extreme step.
"God forbid, if a war erupts between Pakistan and the United States, we (Afghanistan) will stand by Pakistan," Karzai told Pakistan's Geo television network in an interview broadcast on Saturday, Reuters reported.  Karzai also said that if Pakistan is ever attacked by another country and needs help, "Afghanistan will be there with you. Afghanistan is a brother." The Afghan president stated, "Afghanistan will never forget the welcome, the hospitality, the respect, and the brotherhood showed by the Pakistani people towards the Afghan people.”
Karzai added, "Anybody that attacks Pakistan, Afghanistan will stand with Pakistan. Afghanistan will be a brother of Pakistan. Afghanistan will never betray a brother."

Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani recently urged US officials to stop accusing Islamabad and threatening it with unilateral military action.  During a meeting with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Islamabad on Thursday, October 20, Gilani raised the objection and stated that the United States must use the bilateral forum to voice any complaints.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has cautioned the United States against launching a unilateral ground operation in the North Waziristan tribal region of Pakistan.  In a closed door briefing on Tuesday, October 18, Kayani told Pakistani lawmakers, “Any such attack by US forces from across the Afghan border would prove 10 times harder than the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

Reports that US troops are massing in Afghanistan along the border with Pakistan have raised concern in Pakistan that the US might be planning an attack on North Waziristan.

'Pakistan blocking attacks against Iran' ~ link ~ There has been talk of Pakistan providing nuclear arms to Iran if it is attacked by Israel or America/NATO.  There are at least two and likely three Muslin states with nuclear weapons: Pakistan with a substantial stockpile; Saudi Arabia with a small number; and perhaps Iran with a small number that it purchased from the Ukraine some years back.  All three of these nations have IRBMs (intermediate range ballistic missiles) capable of delivering the warheads on Israel and large parts of the Middle East and parts of Europe.  Of course, Israel has one of the largest nuclear weapons stockpiles on Earth, third after America and Russia.   Stirling

Iran's deputy interior minister for security affairs says Islamabad has assured Tehran that it will not allow terrorist groups to use its soil to launch attacks against the country.

“Due to the long border between Iran and Pakistan, enemies have constantly tried to take advantage of regional issues, but [their efforts] have been foiled because of the vigilance of the two countries,” Ali Abdollahi was quoted by IRNA as saying on Saturday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 7th Iran and Pakistan security session in Tehran, Abdollahi said the vigilance of both countries has prevented terrorist groups from attacking Iran from Pakistan in the past 11 months.
