Palestinian UN statehood bid: Live updates ~ link

Israel deploys forces ahead of UN bid ~ link ~ Deploying forces, something that Israel is good at.  Making a solid lasting peace, something that Israel is not so good at.  Stirling

Israel has deployed some 22,000 security forces in the occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) as Palestinians set out to apply for statehood at the United Nations.

“We will be heightening security by one level in general. This is being coordinated by the military, border police and Israel police,” AFP quoted Mickey Rosenfeld, a police spokesperson, as saying.

The 22,000 forces represent two-thirds of Israel's entire police force and the alert level has been raised to three, which is one point below the war time level. The heightened level is anticipated to be in place until early Saturday.

Palestinian killed in West Bank clashes with Israeli forces ~ link ~ Israeli security forces shot dead a Palestinian in the West Bank on Friday during a confrontation between Palestinians and settlers in the village of Qusra, a local Palestinian official said.

Hany Abu Murad, the mayor of the village where the violence occurred, named the dead person as Essam Kamal Badran, 35. The incident occurred in Qusra, southeast of the Palestinian city of Nablus.

Bill Clinton: Netanyahu isn't interested in Mideast peace deal ~ link ~ How about that, Slick Willie and I agree on something!   Stirling

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is responsible for the inability to reach a peace deal that would end the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, former U.S. President Bill Clinton said on Thursday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York, the former U.S. president was quoted by Foreign Policy magazine as claiming that Netanyahu lost interest in the peace process as soon as two basic Israelis demands seemed to come into reach: a viable Palestinian leadership and the possibility of normalizing ties with the Arab world.

A President who is helpless in the face of Middle East reality ~ link ~ Obama is simply a 'political marketing dream' of the last election and a full-time 'Front Man' for the Global Banking Cartel and the most extreme wing of Zionism.  He reads, from the teleprompter, what he is told to, and signs what he is told to, and that is that.   Stirling

As usual, Hanan Ashrawi, the only eloquent Palestinian voice in New York this week, got it right. "I couldn't believe what I heard," she told Haaretz, that finest of Israeli newspapers. "It sounded as though the Palestinians were the ones occupying Israel. There wasn't one word of empathy for the Palestinians. He spoke only of the Israelis' troubles..." Too true. And as usual, the sanest Israeli journalists, in their outspoken condemnation of Obama, proved that the princes of American journalists were cowards. "The limp, unimaginative speech that US President Barack Obama delivered at the United Nations... reflects how helpless the American President is in the face of Middle East realities," Yael Sternhell wrote.

And as the days go by, and we discover whether the Palestinians respond to Obama's grovelling performance with a third intifada or with a shrug of weary recognition that this is how things always were, the facts will continue to prove that the US administration remains a tool of Israel when it comes to Israel's refusal to give the Palestinians a state.

Palestinians making statehood bid at UN today ~ link

G20 vow fails to halt stock slide ~ link ~ The real question that we are facing today and next week on the global stock markets is, "will we continue the up/down wild gyrations of late or have things entered a new level of the Global Depression where the bottom will continue to fall, fall, and fall?".   Stirling
A pledge to stabilise markets from the world's leading economies failed to reassure investors today and stocks were falling sharply again.

Finance ministers from the G20 countries meeting in Washington has pledged to "take all necessary actions to preserve the stability of the banking systems and financial markets" and to make sure banks have the cash they need to pay their day-to-day expenses.

Pakistan Foreign Minister hits out at US on Kabal attack change ~ link ~ The globalists have a Pakistan/China vs. India War Theater of World War III planned.  A war theater that will involved massive use of thermonuclear weapons on both military and civilian centers.  Stirling

Pakistan's foreign minister has warned that the US could lose Pakistan as an ally if it continued to publicly accuse Islamabad of supporting militants.

Hina Rabbani Khar told Geo TV that the US could not afford to alienate Pakistan's government or its people. On Thursday, the most senior US military officer accused Pakistan's spy agency of backing the militant Haqqani group in a recent attack on Kabul.

Republican candidates clash in latest debate ~ link ~ The mainstream is desperate to frame the race as one between the two chief globalist/Zionist whores, Perry and Romney, and to marginalize Ron Paul, who is the only real candidate that offers actual change.   Stirling

Four MSPs to contest Scottish Conservative Party leadership ~ link ~ Actually there is hardly a 'party' worthy of the name for the Tories in Scotland.  Some have even proposed killing off the party all together and starting something 'new'.   Stirling

Antony Gormley - Of gods and men in St. Petersburg ~ link ~ The Heritage (the Imperial Winter Palace) is a great museum (which I have been lucky enough to visit), however, I am not so sure that this display is appropriate for the site.  It is really a site that is/should be dedicated to the Imperial heritage of Russia (what was Russia before the Global Banking Cartel imposed communism on it).  Stirling

Scientists 'break' speed of light and Einstein's laws of physics ~ link ~ Also see ~ link ~  The Super Holographic Model of the Universe and other quantum physics  models ignore these 'laws' with the concept of 'entanglement'.  Stirling

According to Albert Einstein's special theory of relativity, which spawned the E=MC2 equation, light is the last word in speed, but neutrinos have now been recorded travelling even faster.
In the Opera experiment, carried out more than 15,000 times over three years, the muon neutrinos – fired in a beam 454 miles between the Cern facility in Geneva to Gran Sasso in Italy – arrived a few billionths of a second quicker than light. The gap was tiny, but its significance is potentially so huge that physicists are struggling to come to terms with its implications.

Five NATO soldiers die in Afghanistan ~ link ~ Why did these brave men have to die there???   Stirling

According to the Italian Foreign Ministry, three Italian soldiers were killed in a road accident in Herat Province in western Afghanistan.

Two other soldiers were killed in another road side bomb blast in eastern Afghanistan. No information has been available on the nationalities of the soldiers.
