Ancient Scottish Barony Title for sale. There are about 100 Scottish feudal baronies that still exist; only a handful are from the very ancient Baronage of the Isles, as this one is. In a time of economic crisis, it pays to put some of your wealth into important artwork, properties, etc. of rare value. This is one of the most rare things that can be purchased and held. For sale at US$150,000 ~ link

Is Barack Obama about to order the US military to invade Libya ~ link ~ As insane as it might sound, the United States may soon be getting involved in another war in the Middle East. According to White House spokesman Jay Carney, “no options” have been taken off the table when it comes to the situation in Libya. By saying that “all options” are being considered, that is basically a way for the Obama administration to threaten Gadhafi without actually coming right out and threatening him. In recent days, news reports have been appearing all over the mainstream media hyping the possibility that we may have to take military action in Libya. This would not be happening if the White House did not want it to happen. The truth is that Barack Obama is apparently seriously considering U.S. military action in Libya. At first that would probably consist of air strikes and missile attacks, but if the Obama administration decides that it is going to take ground forces to get the job done then we could eventually see the U.S. military actually invade Libya. But the truth is that any military intervention in Libya would be a really, really bad idea. Is it really wise to stick our young men and women into the middle of an incredibly bloody civil war? Do we want to spill even more American blood in order to protect “U.S. interests”? Do we really want to spend young American lives to keep the price of oil low? The truth is that the world hates us enough already. How much more will they hate us if we decide to start bombing Libya into oblivion?
All kinds of justifications are already being floated for potential military action in Libya. Barack Obama is publicly declaring that the killing of civilians in Libya has got to stop. As if the U.S. government cares so much about the deaths of civilians. Millions upon millions of Africans have been slaughtered in Africa over the last couple of decades in numerous civil wars and we have not intervened.
So why now?

Libya Protests: Tripoli residents say civilians being armed: UN plans meeting ~ link ~ The Libyan leader, speaking from the ramparts of a historic Tripoli fort, told supporters to prepare to defend the nation as he faced the biggest challenge to his 42-year rule, with rebels having seized control of about half of the country's coastline.
Overcoming divide and conquer strategies: 99.9% of the US population should support the public unions fight against occupying economic imperialists ~ link ~
Quick Summary: The global bankers, who caused our economic crisis, are attempting to deflect blame and divide the American public by escalating attacks on public-sector workers. The battle in Wisconsin, which is spreading across the entire nation, should be viewed in a global economic context. Do not let the obsolete Republican vs. Democrat charade confuse you. Even if you believe Unions have been corrupted, in this case you have to go with the strategy: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
The Global Economic Elite have launched a war on 99.9% of the US public, we must unite and rally together. Unions have played a key role in uprisings from Europe to the Middle East. We must seize this opportunity and let Wisconsin be a spark to light the fires of non-violent rebellion throughout the United States.

Bill Clinton: Too much ethanol could spark food riots ~ link ~ For once I agree with Slick Willie. Stirling
With global food prices rising and more corn being diverted to the production of ethanol fuel, Bill Clinton is warning of food riots in poor nations.
The former president told farmers and Agriculture Department employees on Thursday that while producing biofuels is important for reducing America's dependence on foreign oil, farmers should also look beyond domestic production and consider the needs of developing countries.
"I think the best thing to say is we have to become energy independent, but we don't want to do it at the cost of food riots," Clinton said.

Senator Franken says Governor Walker simply trying to "bust unions" ~ link ~ It is that and more, the 'narrative' that is being established is the Americans version of Austerity Fascism that we are seeing in Europe. We are being told that we have to bust unions, and reduce the wages of Middle Class Americans because of the huge budget deficits. The reality is that the global banking cartel, and its bought-and-paid-for political whores, have raped the public to the max with vast economic crimes (with not even a single criminal charge having been brought against them), then re-raped us all to something like $30 TRILLION in 'bail-out' spending to save their banks/etc., and now they want the other 99% of the population to PAY, PAY AND PAY THROUGH THE NOSE. If we fired all public service employees in every state, it still would not fix the economic disaster that they deliberately created! They are creating a diversion "arguing over rearranging the deck chairs on the sinking Titanic" (the American economy and the Middle Class). It is time to demand that the criminals on Wall Street go to prison, to demand the political reforms necessary to take the corruption of money out of the political process. Stirling

Israeli forces fire on hundreds in the West Bank ~ link ~ Israeli forces fired rubber-coated bullets at protesters in the West Bank city of Hebron on Friday afternoon, where clashes left at least nine people injured, Palestinian medics and the Israeli army said. Four international activists and two Palestinians were detained, organizers said. The military said that only one person was arrested. The Palestinians injured by rubber-coated bullets were transferred to the Hebron and Al-Ahli hospitals, Red Crescent officials said. The Israeli army also said five border police officers were injured.
The demonstration, which called for the reopening of one of the city's main streets, came on the anniversary of the 1994 massacre of 29 Palestinians in Hebron by a Jewish extremist. Protesters, who waved Palestinian flags chanting "Down with the occupation!" and "Hebron is Palestinian," said they were trying to reopen central Shuhada (Martyrs) Street, once home to the city's main market. Israel largely closed off the street, citing security, after the 1994 massacre in the Ibrahimi Mosque.
