Revolutions in North Africa and the Middle East - Who Really Benefits?  Will they continue to spread throughout the world in the wake of global food shortages, global depression, and Austerity Fascism?  by Lord Stirling ~ link

Advanced Biological Warfare (article by Lord Stirling) ~ link ~ I have a link to a free movie on Hulu, BLACK DAWN: THE NEXT PANDEMIC, that is most interesting.  The movie is about the spread of a naturally occurring mutation in the H5N1 virus; a rather nasty mutation that kills up to 10% of those it effects.  I strongly urge people to take the time to view this movie, as it shows the impact of what a single naturally occurring virus mutation can do.  In reality, a global strategic Advanced Biological-based war would be at least ten-fold as bad and more likely a hundred-fold in its impact as the viruses would be military designer-created (recombination DNA) diseases with a much stronger kill ratio (90% or higher fatality level from an infection) and there would likely be many dozens of viruses released at the same time, instead of only one disease.

Before we allow hardliners in Israel take us into yet another war, we need to take a very hard and realistic look at just what a war involving MAD on all sides would mean to Israel, to Europe, to North America and the entire world.

Gaddafi loses more Libyan cities ~ link ~ video linkMuammar Gaddafi, Libya's long-standing ruler, has reportedly lost control of more cities as anti-government protests continue to sweep the African nation despite his threat of a brutal crackdown. Protesters in Misurata said on Wednesday they had wrested the western city from government control. In a statement on the internet, army officers stationed in the city pledged "total support for the protesters". The protesters also seemed to be in control of much of the country's east, and an Al Jazeera correspondent, reporting from the city of Tobruk, 140km from the Egyptian border, said there was no presence of security forces."From what I've seen, I'd say the people of eastern Libya are the ones in control," Hoda Abdel-Hamid, our correspondent, said. She said there were no officials manning the border when the Al Jazeera team crossed into Libya.

Major-General Suleiman Mahmoud, the commander of the armed forces in Tobruk, told Al Jazeera that the troops led by him had switched loyalties. "We are on the side of the people," he said. "I was with him [Gaddafi] in the past but the situation has changed - he's a tyrant."

Gaddafi has lost it.... ~ link ~
Gaddafi has used bribes, blackmail and scare tactics, when necessary, to insure the tribes' loyalty to his regime [EPA]

The Libyan leader has lost all three pillars of his rule - tribal, military and diplomatic. Judging from his desperate speech last night, he seems to be losing his mind and perhaps his nerves. That's why it's only a question of time for his regime to breakdown.

For the last four decades, Gaddafi has based the stability of his rule on a careful balancing act among more than 100 tribes and clans, especially the 30 influential among them, that pride themselves on playing an important role in freeing Libya from colonialism. Gaddafi has used bribes when possible, blackmail and scare tactics when necessary, to insure the tribes' loyalty to the regime, or at least its neutrality. However, over the last few days, one after the other, Libyan tribes have declared their opposition to the Gaddafi regime and vowed their support and allegiance to the revolution of February 17.

Libya: Defections leave Muammar Gaddafi isolated in Tripoli bolthole ~ link ~ Muammar Gaddafi was looking increasingly isolated after damaging defections by senior regime figures and key military commanders and units as the uprising spread closer to Tripoli. Mass protests erupted in Misurata, a Mediterranean port and the country's third-largest city, and violence was reported in Sebrata and Zawiya, which are also in western Libya and closer to Tripoli.
Benghazi and much of the east of the country have now been lost to the government. Misurata is near Sirte, the leader's home town, where a key tribe has reportedly come out in support of what is being called the 17 February revolution.
Al-Jazeera TV reported that tribes in the Azzintan and Nalut areas, also in the west, had come out against Gaddafi. Oil facilities were now under their protection.
Libyan and Arab sources said the biggest blow to Gaddafi so far had been the defection of his interior minister and veteran loyalist, Abdel-Fatah Younes al-Obeidi, who called on the army on Tuesday to "serve the people and support the revolution and its legitimate demands".

An Indiana deputy attorney general "is no longer employed" by the state after Mother Jones magazine reported he tweeted that police should to use live ammunition against Wisconsin labor protesters, the attorney general's office said Wednesday.

The magazine reported Wednesday that Jeffrey Cox responded "Use live ammunition" to a Saturday night posting on its Twitter account that said riot police could sweep protesters out of the Wisconsin capitol, where thousands have been protesting a bill that would strip public employees of collective bargaining rights.

The Sound and Fury: Downsizing Humanity ~ link ~This drought, like the drought in Russia and the Ukraine this last summer, was brought on by the global climate change caused by the BP Oil Disaster which killed the Loop Current in the Gulf of Mexico and seriously damaged the Thermohaline Circulation System (effecting even the atmospheric Jet Stream).  There is good evidence to strongly indicate that the BP Oil Disaster was NOT an accident, but was a planned event (as totally crazy as that sounds).  Stirling
Whether the world tips into agricultural catastrophe this year depends on the fate of the wheat crop on the North China Plain though if you measure a few billion hungry bellies one could argue that the catastrophe is already upon us. The era of abundance that fueled the world’s population growth to almost seven billion people is over and so is the free ride of unlimited credit and debt, except, that is, for the American government that just prints the money it needs electronically even though it brings inflation to the whole world by doing so.

New York Times reported that the United Nations issued an alert on the 15th of February warning that a severe drought was threatening the wheat crop in China. “China’s grain situation is critical to the rest of the world—if they are forced to go out on the market to procure adequate supplies for their population, it could send huge shock waves through the world’s grain markets,” said Robert S. Zeigler. The state-run news media in China warned Monday that the country’s major agricultural regions were facing their worst drought in 60 years. On Tuesday the state news agency Xinhua said that Shandong Province, a cornerstone of Chinese grain production, was bracing for its worst drought in 200 years unless substantial precipitation came by the end of this month.

The severe drought in northern China has badly damaged the winter wheat crop and left the ground very dry for the spring planting, fueling inflation and alarming China’s leaders. China’s wheat imports have risen to 893,700 metric tons in 2009 and 1.2 million metric tons in 2010 from just 31,900 metric tons in 2008, according to figures from Global Trade Information Services, a data company in Columbia, S.C.

The entire world is coming apart at the seams and, worse, there is no solution until we hit the wall and the bulk of us are squashed like flies. Perhaps we could avoid some of the misery heading our way if the government of the United States was simply dissolved, giving back full governance to the States to manage their own affairs. Might as well chuck the European Union while we are at it.
But since no one is considering such a good idea, the crisis itself is going to have to be the solution and it will carry with it devastating changes to a broad swath of humanity. There is no point even in standing up boldly in an attempt to save the future for that future has already been stolen by a monstrous elite who have known where this is all heading for a long time. Rich people can be as stupid and mean as anyone else and obviously there are more psychopaths and sociopaths in the world than we can possibly imagine.

As we run the rapids down to financial and social oblivion we will not be able to trust the press to inform us with information to make appropriate decisions. The public will be deceived until the very end. Governments around the world are on the brink of collapse and there is no way to stop what is coming and what is happening.

Is it time to panic yet? There is never really a good time to panic but if a little bit of panic is what it takes to motivate you into action, go for it. Embrace some panic and then move your butts and prepare accordingly. “For what?” you might ask. “For everything!” I might say. With food shortages or food priced so high, it will take major funds that you will not have to eat satisfactorily.

At least 29 countries have sharply curbed food exports in recent months to ensure that their own people have enough to eat at affordable prices. When it comes to rice, India, Vietnam, China and 11 other countries have limited or banned exports. Fifteen countries, including Pakistan and Bolivia, have capped or halted wheat exports. More than a dozen have limited corn exports. Kazakhstan has restricted exports of sunflower seeds.

People are in a panic, so they are buying more and more—at least, those who have money are buying,” said Conching Vasquez, a 56-year-old rice vendor who, one recent morning, sat among piles of rice at her large stall in Los BaƱos in the Philippines, the world’s largest rice importer. Her customers buy 8,000 pounds of rice a day, up from 5,500 pounds a year ago.

Globalist Coup Plotters Acting Shady ~ link ~ If you know the history of revolutions, both historic and very recent, and know of the specific moves taken over the last few years, you will understand why this 'falling domino' series of revolutions is not an accident.  That it has been planned, set up, and orchestrated at high levels by the global banking cartel.   Stirling
It is important to understand how clearly premeditated this is, how long it has been planned and worked on by the United States government, its extensive network of agents and NGOs, and how much they stand to lose if this premeditated plot becomes widely known to the public.

Defiant Libya ~ link ~ Deciphering the events on the ground in Libya is admittedly difficult. But we can be sure of one thing, the globalists want Qaddafi out and his defiance has conjured an almost tangible, rabid fit from the global-corporate elite whose future plans hinge on the domino effect they most assuredly started in Tunisia and Egypt with US-funded CANVAS, International Crisis Group ElBaradei, and the US-trained, funded, and directed April 6 Movement in Egypt.

The International Crisis Group, of which Egypt's protest leader Mohamed ElBaradei sits as a trustee beside Zbigniew Brzezinski, George Soros (the "Funding Father" of Egypt's new constitution), notorious neo-con Richard Armitage, and NATO's Wesley Clarke, has made a statement calling on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to implement a no-fly zone over Libyan airspace. This is meant to prevent Qaddafi from using his air force to strike back against the growing insurgency.

Six Reasons To Start World War III If You Are A Globalist ~ link

Gaddafi daughter denies fleeing ~ link ~ Aisha Gaddafi, Muammar Gaddafi's daughter, has appeared on state television, denying a report she tried to flee to Malta.
"I am steadfastly here," she said on Wednesday.

Earlier, there were reports a Libyan plane carrying the daughter of the Libyan leader, was turned back from Malta after it was denied permission to land. "The [crew] initially said they had 14 people on board. They were circling overhead saying they were running low on fuel," Cal Perry, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Malta, said. "At that point the ambassador from Libya who was here in Malta was called in to take part in the negotiations on whether or not they were going to allow this plane to land.

"As he entered the talks it became clear from the pilots that Aisha Gaddhafi, Muammar Gaddhafi's only daughter, was aboard the plane. The government said it was an unscheduled flight, it doesn't matter who is on board; they said it cannot land and diverted the plane back to Libya."

Libya: 2,000 killed in Benghazi, 1,000 in Tripoli ~ link Militiamen loyal to Moammar Gaddafi clamped down in Tripoli, with the sound of gunfire ringing in the air, while protesters who control much of the eastern half of Libya claimed new gains in cities and towns closer to the heart of Gaddafi's regime in the capital.

Protesters said they had taken over Misrata, which would be the largest city in the western half in the country to fall into their hands. Clashes broke out over the past two days in the town of Sabratha, west of the capital, where the army and militiamen were trying to put down protesters who overwhelmed security headquarters and government buildings, a news website close to the government reported.

Greece paralyzed by general strike ~ link
Police in Greece
The strike has paralyzed maritime traffic and train services, disrupting urban transport in Athens and was set to cause a four-hour flight blackout, AFP reported.

The strike has affected operations in hospitals and schools and has even resulted in the closing down of public administration offices.

Papandreou agreed to adopt austerity measures in return for bailout loans worth EUR 110 billion by the EU and the IMF last May.

Transport workers and leftist parties have been protesting the reforms approved by the parliament by engaging in massive strikes. Those on strike say they fear of privatization and the manipulation of their rights.

Last year seven general strikes were held in response to severe spending cuts ordered by Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou's government. The cuts came in return for a 150-billion-dollar loan from the EU and the International Monetary Fund.

The cuts have led to Greece's deepening recession, putting to question the country's ability to meet its loan obligations.

Libyan pilots avert raid, crash plane ~ link ~ also see link ~ A Libyan military aircraft has reportedly crashed near the city of Benghazi after pilots refused to bomb peaceful pro-democracy protesters, reports say.  The pilot and co-pilot had refused bombing orders and parachuted out of their aircraft in an uninhabited area.  A Libyan daily says the plane had orders to bomb the city but the crew refused to carry out the deadly mission.

This comes after Libyan tyrant Colonel Muammar Gaddafi pledged to crush the popular revolution in the oil-rich country. The government has even used air raids to suppress persisting mass demonstrations.  This is while government forces are losing grip on the country amid the ongoing revolution in Libya.  Soldiers in the coastal town of Tobruk, which lies close to the Egyptian border, say Gaddafi's forces have lost control of the region.  They say they no longer back the Libyan ruler. Protesters have over-run the eastern province of Cyrenaica.  Meanwhile, military defectors in eastern Libya are reported to be mobilizing to defend the people against possible attacks by Gaddafi's forces.

Bahrain: Uprising Against the US-backed Regime Gains Critical Mass ~ link ~
Bahrain’s uprising against the US-backed ruling elite is gathering critical mass, with the Persian Gulf island state seeing the biggest demonstration ever last night. Some 200,000 people took the main highway leading to the financial district in the capital, Manama, shouting in unison for the regime to go.

Their protest is now firmly established at Pearl Square, where tents have been erected and basic amenities installed to cope with the thousands who now camp there nightly. In deliberate replication of the demonstrations at Tahrir Square in Egypt’s capital, Cairo, the protesters in Bahrain are saying that they are not moving until their demands are met.

Men, women and children have lost their fear. After a brutal crackdown by the state last week, which resulted in seven civilians murdered and hundreds injured, failed to crush the uprising, the people are now increasingly emboldened and determined to demand the overthrow of the Al Khalifa regime.
People have found their voice to demand what they have been wanting for many decades – for, what they see, as an imposter regime to go; to get out of their lives and their island.

Bahrainis have long memories regarding the nature and origin of the regime. Over and over, the protesters will tell you that they have had enough of the Al Khalifas’ predatory rule.

One small, makeshift placard held by a group of young teenagers said in Arabic: "The visit is over".

Many indigenous Bahrainis (about 600,000 of the total one million present population) can trace their family origins back to the time of “Prophet Issa” (Jesus) and beyond.
They view the ruling Al Khalifa family as something of an imposter that has abused the civility of the Bahraini people for the past 200 years. It is not a gross oversimplification of history when Bahrainis relate how the Al Khalifas originated from a Bedouin tribe in what became central Saudi Arabia and voyaged around the Persian Gulf as pirates and renegades seeking a base.

After being kicked out of Zubarah (later Qatar), the Al Khalifas settled in Bahrain. With the help of the British Empire, they became rulers of the island in return for British “protection”. Bahrain, as an ancient trading hub, bestowed on the indigenous people a certain cosmopolitan, civilized attitude. They were fishermen, farmers, boat makers and artisans who were able to make a good living from the island’s rich natural resources, which included abundant freshwater aquifers.

Their new masters and their rapacious way of existence, plus crucial British material and political support, made short work of these people’s natural hospitality to install a dynasty that has bled the island dry. The present prime minister, and uncle of the king, has been in office for 40 years since the country gained nominal independence from Britain in 1971. The prime minister personally owns many of the skyscraper properties that have sprung up in Manama’s financial district, including the twin towers of the Financial Harbour.

Libya protests: Gaddafi battles to control west - with video ~ link ~Libyan ruler Col Muammar Gaddafi is battling to retain control of Tripoli and areas in western Libya as protesters consolidated gains in the east and foreigners continued to flee. Much of the capital is deserted as pro-Gaddafi gunmen roam the streets, with reports of uprisings in western towns such as Misurata, Sabratha and Zawiya.

Masses of protesters have been celebrating success in eastern towns. Thousands of foreigners continue to leave, with chaos at Tripoli airport.

'I won't pay' movement spread across Greece ~ link
They blockade highway toll booths to give drivers free passage. They cover subway ticket machines with plastic bags so commuters can't pay. Even doctors are joining in, preventing patients from paying fees at state hospitals.

Some call it civil disobedience. Others a freeloading spirit. Either way, Greece's "I Won't Pay" movement has sparked heated debate in a nation reeling from a debt crisis that's forced the government to take drastic austerity measures — including higher taxes, wage and pension cuts, and price spikes in public services.

What started as a small pressure group of residents outside Athens angered by higher highway tolls has grown into a movement affecting ever more sectors of society — one that many say is being hijacked by left-wing parties keen to ride popular discontent.

Greece general strike: Clashes erupt - with video ~ link ~ The Battle of Europe begins the Greek people battle the Austerity Fascism imposed by the global banking cartel.  Stirling
Police in Athens have fired tear gas to disperse demonstrators hurling petrol bombs and stones as a 24-hour general strike grips Greece. The violence erupted during a rally by more than 30,000 angry workers near the Greek parliament. They object to the government's far-reaching budget cuts.

The strike paralysed public transport. More than 100 flights were cancelled. Many schools are closed and hospitals have reduced services. Small businesses have joined in, closing many shops. It is Greece's first major labour protest this year, as the government sticks to austerity cuts demanded under the terms of the country's international bail-out.

Gaddafi follows path of ousted dictators ~ link ~ The brutal response by Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi against pro-democracy protestors in the country indicates his determination not to leave office without a bloody battle, but his moves follow the path that eventually led to ouster of two neighboring dictators.

In a televised address Tuesday from his residential compound that was bombed by US planes in 1986, a highly animated and yelling Gaddafi repeatedly called the protestors "rats" and warned them that they will be crushed and sentenced to the "capital punishment" for going against his rule.

But it was that realization that they face death and heavy reprisals that actually made demonstrators two weeks ago in Cairo's Tahrir Square more entrenched in their positions.

And like Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and Tunisia's Zine el Abidine Ben Ali, Gaddafi too cut off all communications in the country and used force against protestors.

In Tunisia and Egypt, that violent reaction in itself turned otherwise passive residents -- who weren't taking part in the protests initially -- against the governments in the two countries.

Violent reaction by the regimes in Tunisia and Egypt against the protestors in fact strengthened their calls from simple reform to complete change.

Instead of using thugs and hired muscle on horseback and camels, like Mubarak did against the Tahrir Square pro-democracy activists, Gaddafi employed foreign mercenaries and heavily armed militiamen, according to eyewitnesses.

7 Yemeni MPs resign over rising cruelty ~ link
Pro-democracy protesters in Yemen have often been met by riot police firing teargas and rubber bullets or supporters of President Saleh armed with knives and batons.
The lawmakers, all from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh's ruling GPS party, criticized the Yemeni president on Wednesday for his harsh crack down on demonstrators that demand his ouster.  The resignation, a political blow to the president, came after two university students were killed and many others wounded late on Tuesday in the capital after security forces attacked a pro-democracy protest near Sana'a University.  "The people must have the right to demonstrate peacefully," said Abdulaziz Jubari, a leading parliamentarian who has resigned, as quoted by Reuters.  Among those resigned are some major allies of Saleh and tribal leader Abdo Bisher, from the Sana'a region, as well as two other figures from southern Yemen.

Jubari also said the parliamentarians have sent a 10-point letter to the Yemeni president, demanding immediate reforms, including restructuring the army to make it more representative of Yemen's complex society and to aid a transition to democracy.  The Yemeni President has described the pro-democracy protesters as "elements of a coup."  Inspired by the revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia, massive groups of Yemeni protesters have recently taken to the streets in Sana'a and other major cities, demanding the ouster of Saleh.  Saleh, who has been in power for 33 years, has said that he would leave power after his term expires in 2013. He has also promised not to hand power to his son. He has also pledged to raise wages of government employees and to provide 60,000 job opportunities for university graduates.

Global Insurrection Against Neo-Liberal Economic Domination ~ link ~ I don't fully agree with this article.  I believe that globalist/CIA/Mossad forces are taking advantage of deep anger in North Africa and the Middle East, and using social networking (planned out and begun in a New York City meeting in December 2008), to create chaos in the Muslin world as a key part of their plans for WWIII and the New World Order.  Nevertheless the article has many good points and I urge my readers to take the time to read it all.  Stirling
In previous Revolution Roundups [22], we featured mass protests by the people of Ireland, Italy, Britain, Austria, Greece, France and Portugal, as the Global Insurrection contagion spread throughout Europe. And now, as we have seen over the past month, North African and Middle Eastern nations have joined the movement as the people of Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco, Gabon, Mauritania, Yemen, Bahrain, Libya, Palestine, Iraq, Sudan and Algeria have taken to the streets en masse.

The connection between this latest round of uprisings and the prior protests throughout Europe is one the mainstream media is not making. We are witnessing a decentralized global rebellion against Neo-Liberal economic imperialism. While each national uprising has its own internal characteristics, each one, at its core, is about the rising costs of living and lack of financial opportunity and security. Throughout the world the situation is the same: increasing levels of unemployment and poverty, as price inflation on food and basic necessities is soaring.

Whether national populations realize it or not, these uprisings are against systemic global economic policies that are strategically designed to exploit the working class, reduce living standards, increase personal debt and create severe inequalities of wealth. These global uprising, which have only just begun, are the first wave of the inevitable reaction to the implementation of a centralized worldwide Neo-Feudal economic order.

The global banking cartel, centered at the IMF, World Bank and Federal Reserve, have paid off politicians and dictators the world over — from Washington to Greece to Egypt. In country after country, they have looted national economies at the expense of local populations, consolidating wealth in unprecedented fashion – the top economic one-tenth of one percent is currently holding over $40 trillion in investible wealth, not counting an equally significant amount of wealth hidden in offshore accounts.

IMF imperial operations designed to extract wealth and suppress populations have been ongoing for decades. As anyone researching economic imperialism will know, a centrally planned Neo-Liberal aristocracy controls the global economy.

When QE2 was announced, I warned [25]: “Food and Gas Prices Will Skyrocket, The Federal Reserve Just Dropped An Economic Nuclear Bomb On Us.” I also wrote [26]: “The Federal Reserve is deliberately devaluing the dollar to enrich a small group of a global bankers, which will cause significant harm to the people of the United States and severe ramifications throughout the world…. The Federal Reserve’s actions are already causing the price of food and gas to increase and will cause hyperinflation on most basic necessities.”

If Egyptians can seize the assets [70] of a dictator like Mubarak, why can’t we seize the assets of Jamie Dimon and Llyod Blankfein?

A new report from Matt Taibbi in Rolling Stone harshly sums up Banana Republic USA:
“A former Senate investigator laughed as he polished off his beer. ‘Everything’s fucked up, and nobody goes to jail,’ he said. ‘That’s your whole story right there. Hell, you don’t even have to write the rest of it. Just write that.’ I put down my notebook. ‘Just that?’ ‘That’s right,’ he said. ‘Everything’s fucked up, and nobody goes to jail. You can end the piece right there.’
Not a single executive who ran the companies that cooked up and cashed in on the phony financial boom — an industrywide scam that involved the mass sale of mismarked, fraudulent mortgage-backed securities — has ever been convicted. Their names by now are familiar to even the most casual Middle American news consumer: companies like AIG, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley. Most of these firms were directly involved in elaborate fraud and theft.”
Once again, veteran financial journalist Paul B. Farrell hits the nail on the head. Writing for Market Watch, Farrell doesn’t pull any punches in summing up [71] what needs to be done, and it can’t be said enough:
Fed Dictator Bernanke Needs To Be Toppled
“Fed boss Ben Bernanke is the most dangerous human on earth, far more dangerous than Hosni Mubarak, Egypt’s 30-year dictator, ever was. Bernanke rules a monetary dictatorship… But this reign of economic terror will end. Just as Mubarak was blind to the economic needs of the masses and democratic reforms, Bernanke is blind to the easy-money legacy that’s set the stage for revolution, turning the rich into super rich while the middle class stagnates and peanuts trickle down to the poor.”
You can’t sentence the overwhelming majority of the population to slow death through economic policy and expect to get away with it.

While one-tenth of one percent of the population rolls around in obscene wealth, they may want to take a look outside of their groupthink short-sighted delusional perspective and notice the outside world. You cannot ignore the suffering of the masses. They will show up at your doorstep next.
I hear footsteps…
[Note: The global banking families know this, and intend to get around it by killing off most of the population in the soon-to-appear World War III.  Stirling

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah has announced increased benefits for his citizens, as he returned after months abroad getting medical treatment. There will be extra funds for housing, studying abroad and social security, according to state television.

King Abdullah has been away from the country for three months, during which time mass protests have changed the political landscape of the Middle East. There have been few demonstrations in Saudi Arabia. Hundreds of men in white robes performed a traditional sword dance at Riyadh airport and dozens of princes gathered to greet the king on his arrival - including Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa.

Thousands protest against high food prices in Delhi ~ link ~
Protesters near the parliament house in Delhi on 23 February 2011 The protest has been organised by trade unions
Thousands of people have gathered in the Indian capital, Delhi, to take part in a rally to protest against rising food prices and unemployment. A steady stream of protesters, carrying red flags, has been marching through the streets of central Delhi since early morning. The rally has led to massive traffic jams in the city. Trade unions who have called the rally say nearly 40,000 people will attend a meeting at the Ramlila grounds. Thousands will then march to parliament, they say.

Security is tight across the city with thousands of policemen deployed at the rally ground and along the route of the march. The protest has been organised by major trade unions, including the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) and the Centre for Industrial Trade Union (CITU).
The Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) - which is backed by the governing Congress party - is also supporting the strike saying it wants to remind the government about its commitments to the poor.

US & EU to Buy Off Post-Revolution Governments with Billions in "Aid" (Taxpayers Money) ~ link ~ We are closing schools and firing teachers in America but we can still ship billions for the globalists whose lap dog America is.   Stirling

While the United States and Europe orders its own scum public to accept massive public spending cuts along with higher taxes on top of soaring inflation and food prices, it concurrently prepares to buy off post-”revolution” governments in the Middle East and North Africa with billions in “aid” (taxpayers’ money) in order to install fresh puppets who will graciously buy huge quantities of arms from the US-EU-Israeli military-industrial complex.

The move is being called the biggest such program since the Marshall Plan, which was instituted to rebuild Europe after World War Two.
“In the US, Bill Richardson, former Governor of New Mexico, a leading Democratic foreign policy thinker and a confidant of President Obama, told The Times: “Western governments need to think of this as a Marshall-Plan-type moment and a dramatic change in the world’s security order.”

“As senior officials from the EU, US, Japan and Australia prepared for an emergency summit on the Middle East in Brussels this week, Mr Richardson added: “We have to find a way to get on the right side of these democracy movements that are going to explode, and continue to explode,” reports the Australian.

In other words, dirty money stolen from taxpayers already laboring under the harshest economic conditions in several generations will be used to buy off whoever takes charge after the globalist-manipulated revolutions that have now reached Libya and threaten to engulf Saudi Arabia.

4.5 million orphans in Iraq: Protests over food and shelter ~ link ~The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs estimate that around 4,5 million children are orphans. Nearly 70 percent of them lost their parents since the invasion and the ensuing violence. From the total number, around 600,000 children are living in the streets without a house or food to survive. Only 700 children are living in the 18 orphanages existing in the country, lacking their most essential needs.

"Unfortunately the budget allocated to projects that help street children and orphans is decreasing day in and day out," notes an Iraqi Red Crescent employee refusing to give his name. "Worse still, almost no NGO is dedicating itself to this group of kids who are subject to trafficking and sexual abuses in the streets."

Power and madness in Caesar Gaddafi ~ link
Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi
Nero Claudius Caesar, the fifth emperor of ancient Rome, burned down the city of Rome in the year 64 AD out of sheer madness; he finally committed suicide in the year 68 AD.

Currently, the people of Libya are faced with a complicated figure like Colonel Muammar Gaddafi who has brutally bombed public places and killed hundreds of his own countrymen.

The violent oppression of the people suggests Gaddafi is not willing to learn from history as he continues his struggle to maintain his grip on power.

In the recent upheaval in Libya, a large number of aircraft have reportedly fired at crowds of protesters in the city of Benghazi and Tripoli, launching one of the most violent mass killings.

In a televised conference, Colonel Gaddafi called protesters hooligans and said he would fight the people of Libya until the last bullet.

Gaddafi, who is regarded as the strangest leader in the Arab world, was born in the city of Sirte on June 7, 1942.

Lebanon has refused to grant landing permission to a private plane belonging to one of the sons of embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

The plane was transporting the Lebanese wife of Hannibal Gaddafi to her home country as pro-democracy protesters take control of nearly most parts of Libya. Several members of Libya's ruling family were also onboard the plane.

Moroccan single mother burns herself in protests ~ link ~ Horrible that the pool woman felt she had no way out of her predicament and resorted to this.  Stirling

A young Moroccan set herself on fire after being excluded from a social housing scheme because she was an unmarried mother, a local government official said on Wednesday.
Morocco introduced a new family law in 2004 that has won it praise from Western countries for giving women more rights than many Arab countries.

But single mothers continue to struggle in the absence of a social safety net as authorities in the Muslim country do not recognize children born out of the wedlock.

Algeria's state of emergency to be lifter 'imminently' ~ link ~
Anti-government demonstration in Algiers (22 January 2011) Algeria has recently witnessed demonstrations for greater freedoms
Algeria's government has adopted a draft order to lift the country's 19-year-old state of emergency, the official APS news agency reports. It says the measure will come into force after its publication in the official gazette, which is expected "imminently". It did not elaborate. Ending the emergency powers is one of the key demands of the opposition.

Algeria - like other countries in the region - has recently witnessed demonstrations for greater freedoms. There have also been riots over rising food prices.

Breaking the siege of Gaza is high priority for Egypt's young revolutionaries ~ link  ~ That will likely get real interesting!  Stirling

Young participants in the 25th January Egyptian revolution have told the Palestine Information Centre that Egypt has been freed from a tyrannical regime and breaking the siege of Gaza is high on their list of priorities. Ousting Hosni Mubarak was difficult, they said, but it was just the beginning of the revolution, not the end. In Tahrir Square, they added, all sections of Egyptian society were united, including Muslims and Christians; leftists and members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Ahmed Bahaauddin Shaaban, one of the founders of the Egyptian Movement for Change (Kifaya), told the PIC, “We took part in a real battle pitting the Egyptian people against the corrupt regime, which was heavily entrenched. However, the Egyptian people were able to uproot it.” The people of Egypt have taken one step on a long road, said Shaaban, by overthrowing a dictator and his oppressive regime. “However, we still have a lot to do. We have a programme for democracy, social reform, and the creation of a modern, developed state. We have shaken the regime, as can be seen clearly in the fall of its corrupt symbols.”

Mr. Shaaban warned that the struggle will be long. “The fall of an oppressive dictator like Mubarak affects the entire regime structure but we will be able to deal with its remnants,” he said. “In the past few days we have defeated the most oppressive forces in the country – the Central Security Force and the State Security Force – which have vanished into thin air.” So, he added, has the former ruling party, the National Democratic Party, which had three million members.

New Zealand Earthquake: Rescuers refuse to give up hope ~ link ~
Rescue workers search for survivors at the collapsed CTV building (24 February 2011) Foreign specialist rescue crews arrived in the city centre on Thursday
Superintendent Dave Cliff said it remained a rescue operation, and that specialists were working at sites where there had been signs of life.

At least 76 people have been killed, but 238 others are missing - up to 120 of them under one collapsed building.
Prime Minister John Key has said people should prepare for more bad news.

New Zealand Imposes Curfew as Christchurch Quake Death Toll Climbs to 75 ~ link ~ Police imposed a nightly curfew in some areas of Christchurch, New Zealand’s second-largest city, amid concerns more buildings may collapse following the magnitude 6.3 earthquake that killed at least 75 people.

Members of the public who enter an area within the city center’s four main avenues after 6:30 p.m. local time will be arrested, according to the New Zealand Police website. Christchurch’s tallest building, the Grand Chancellor Hotel, is unstable and appears to be moving, police said. Workers have stopped searching the remains of the collapsed Canterbury Television building because of safety concerns.

80% of Christchurch without water ~ link ~ About 80 per cent of earthquake-ravaged Christchurch remains without water. But Christchurch Civil Defence and Emergency Management (CDEM) has urged people to stay at home unless it's absolutely essential to leave.

All schools and many workplaces will remain closed until the weekend, CDEM said.

New Zealand: Hundreds missing after Christchurch quake - with video ~ link ~ About 300 people remain missing as search efforts in New Zealand continue in the aftermath of Tuesday's powerful earthquake in Christchurch.
At least 75 people are known to have died, with the death toll expected to rise significantly, officials say. Meanwhile, hundreds of foreign rescue workers are arriving to join the search effort, amid warnings that time is running out for survivors.

The 6.3 magnitude quake is the country's biggest disaster in 80 years. Authorities are working through the night to find survivors in an effort which has been hampered by aftershocks. Rescue work at one building, housing a TV network and a foreign language school, was called off as officials said there were no signs of life. And the city's tallest hotel and surrounding area was cordoned off as rescue officials feared the hotel could fall on top of them.

The director of New Zealand's Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management, John Hamilton, has said rescuers have only a window of two or three days to find people.

Afghanistan: Obama's Dangerous Faux Pas ~ link
Tall, lanky, easy of manner and articulate, Obama exuded hope and confidence across the globe as he entered the White House. The world was yearning for a paradigm shift and he held out the promise of change from the former President Bush’s disastrous policies of aggression and unilateralism. So palpable was his message that he was conferred the Noble Peace Prize in anticipation of his future performance. Two year down the lane of history however the dream stands almost shattered. The promise of change essentially presaged external disengagement to focus on the domestic travails.

He plucked the first acid test of his presidency to the great disillusionment of the world.   With 62% of Americans wanting to end the war and 85% Afghans hankering for vacation of occupation, Obama could have easily upturned the incompetent and ambitions generals, especially, General David Petraeus, who is intoxicated by his partial success in Iraq and is eying the office of the President of the US. His hare-brained strategy to create local warlords to confront and contain the ‘National Resistance’- for that is exactly what Taliban Movement has morphed into-is a recipe for an abiding misery for Afghanistan. For one thing, Afghans are not Iraqis. Their history is a testimony enough; for another, the conflict here has ideological underpinnings and the Afghan nation has an an unmistakable tendency to gravitate towards ‘faith’. It could only prolong the conflict and create room for faith-fighters from all over the world to rally in the post withdrawal Afghanistan. The proxies and remotely operated fire power will not be able to change the results.

Israeli fire injures 13 Palestinians ~ link
At least thirteen Palestinians, including children, have been injured in two separate Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, medics say. The incident took place during a brief incursion by Israeli forces into eastern Gaza City on Wednesday, a Press TV correspondent reported. Eleven Palestinians were injured after an Israeli tank shell hit eastern part of the Gaza City.

The incident came shortly after a number of Israeli tanks and bulldozers rolled into the Palestinian territory in an apparent effort to destroy agricultural lands along the occupied border zone.

MARCH on March 4th to Lit Gaza Blockade ~ link ~ also see this ~ link ~
Building on the momentum of the Egyptian revolution and the growing push for freedom and democracy by citizens throughout the region, a coalition of organizations and individuals from around the world are preparing for a march to Gaza on 26 February 2011. The coalition will gather in the Egyptian port city of Al Arish and form a caravan to make the 32 km journey to the Rafah Border Crossing, disembarking to march the final kilometer to the border of the Gaza Strip. The objective of the march is to enter the strip with the full cooperation of Egyptian military officials and peacefully demand the permanent end of the Egyptian blockade of goods, services and building materials to the territory.

In recent years, a number of Egyptian professional
have attempted to cross the Rafah border into Gaza but were stopped en route and turned back by Egyptian state security forces. However, following the recent revolutionary violence in Egypt — which claimed the lives of more than 350 people — there has been a severe backlash against the state and central security apparatuses. The Egyptian military has played a crucial role in maintaining domestic stability and has stepped in to fill the security vacuum following the collapse of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, which commands the country’s state and central security forces.
“If the marchers are blocked, attacked or arrested, we will do as the people of Egypt have done,” explained
spokesperson Ken O’Keefe. “We will create a Tahrir-style camp as close to Rafah Crossing as possible and call for people of conscience, supporters of Palestine and Egypt, wherever you come from, to join us in Egypt to peacefully demand an end to the illegal siege of Gaza.”

Capitalizing on the important role social media played in coordinating and mobilizing supporters during the Egyptian revolution, is fully utilizing tools such as Facebook and Twitter to garner mass support and maximize exposure of the march.

The Last Word on Terrorism: Kissinger and the Globalist Agenda - with video ~ link ~ In 2005, the RAND corporation released a report on homegrown terror threats in which they identify the terror threat not as one of radicalized Muslims driven by religious fervour, but protestors and activists driven by opposition to the ideals of the globalists.

“Developing imperatives stemming from anti-globalization do appear to be providing a radical domestic context for galvanizing the militancy of both the far right as well as those driven by more specific extremist environmental agendas.”
Since then, the entire process of demonizing political opponents through the use of the word-weapon “terrorist” has descended into the most absurd form of political farce, with a flurry of reports from the Missouri Information Analysis Center to the State government of Virginia to the Texas Department of Public Safety claiming increasingly ridiculous indicators of terrorism, from buying baby formula to wearing blue jeans to carrying a driver’s licence.

All of this terror hysteria that the public has been force-fed over the past decade would be utterly incomprehensible if we were to understand “terrorist” to mean what you and I and John Q. Public believe it means. But it does not. You see, in our modern world “terrorism” is not terrorism. It does not describe a tactic, it is not about violence and bloodshed, suicide bombers or Allahu Akhbar. It is not a word, it is a weapon, a weapon aimed at those who disagree with the aims of Heinz Kissinger and all of his Bilderberg/CFR/Trilateralist ilk, those who wish for the supremacy of a small, rich elite of financiers and multi-national monopoly capital thugs.

Terrorism is not a word, not a concept. It is a weapon that is aimed at you and me.

US - South Korean war games provoke war ~ link ~
In 2011, the US and South Korea conducted several massive joint sea and air drills in waters east of the Korean Peninsula.
North Korea has strongly criticized an upcoming military drill by the United States and South Korea, saying the 'mad' move heightens the danger of war between the two Koreas.

The exercises "prove South Korean warmongers are going crazier in provoking a war regardless of the people's desire for dialogue and peace," Pyongyang's government newspaper Minju Joson said on Wednesday.

"With South Korean warmongers' reckless war provocations, the inter-Korean relationship is worsening and the danger of war is increasing day by day," it said.

The newspaper added that the US-South Korea next joint military drill is due to take place despite Pyongyang's calls for dialogue.

The annual Key Resolve/Foal Eagle drill, starting next Monday and ending on March 10, will take place as tensions are still high in the Korean Peninsula after last year's deadly clash between the South and North Korean forces along the Koreas' disputed sea borders.

Col. John Alexander says UFOs are real, but denies government cover up ~ link ~ I have followed the career of this kinsman for years, he is a most interesting military officer.  Stirling
Col. John Alexander

Whether you believe or disbelieve the notion that UFOs are visitors from another planet, a former highly decorated military officer now comes forward with information that may infuriate those on both sides in the ongoing ET debate.

Retired Col. John Alexander, using his military savvy and high security clearance, spent a quarter of a century going through the top levels of the U.S. government and military searching for the group of people who were allegedly responsible for UFO information and the supposedly decades-old UFO cover-up.

His conclusions: Not only is there no such group and no cover-up, but disclosure about UFOs has already occurred on different official levels.

The 74-year-old former Green Beret A-Team commander and developer of weapons at Los Alamos, N.M., is one of many speakers presenting his views at this week's International UFO Congress in Scottsdale, Ariz. He takes issue with both true believers (who assume any strange light in the sky is from another planet) and hard-nosed skeptics (who debunk any and all UFO reports and evidence to the contrary).

Revolution Handbook for Americans ~ link ~ Take the time to read this all at the link.  Stirling
As recently presented, there is global respect for and use of the classic and brilliant work by Gene Sharp “From Dictatorship to Democracy.”  It is credited for empowering many actions around the world to overthrow dictatorships, including recent actions in the Mideast .  My thesis is that his ideas, strategies and tactics, a handbook for revolution, can and should be applied to the US where there is a form of corporate dictatorship operating.

American dictatorship and tyranny is masked by an electoral system that no longer functions with integrity, fairness or efficiency and, therefore, acts to sustain the more hidden and ignored corporate dictatorship inflicting enormous harm on vast numbers of Americans.  In many ways the uniquely American form of dictatorship is far more sinister, indiscernible and powerful than classic dictatorships where one recognized person, military junta or family rules ruthlessly.

The corporate ruling class has often been exposed but still maintains its power.  The recent excellent article “Why Isn’t Wall Street in Jail?” presents yet another fine analysis, for example, of how corporate rulers have escaped prosecution and punishment.  It showed that “a veritable mountain of evidence indicates that when it comes to Wall Street, the justice system not only sucks at punishing financial criminals, it has actually evolved into a highly effective mechanism for protecting financial criminals. This institutional reality has absolutely nothing to do with politics or ideology — it takes place no matter who's in office or which party's in power.”

Another article exposed the plutonomy and noted that the top 20 percent received nearly half of all income generated in the US -- 49.4 percent -- and the ratio of the income of the top 10 percent of Americans to the poor has risen from 7.69-to-1 in 1968 to 14.5-to-1 in 2010.  Just as conventional dictators steal from their nations, America ’s corporate rulers rob US wealth and get away with it because they have succeeded in controlling government and public policy.  This explains why a noted New York Times columnist discussed the “corporate stranglehold on American democracy.”  A dictatorship is all about control.

To say this differently, a sophisticated and powerful plutocracy has hijacked an electoral democracy and behaves just like a dictatorship in critical ways, despite a citizenry that believes it has freedom and liberty secured through the US Constitution.  The middle class is being destroyed and the general population no longer has any realistic expectations of rising affluence.  Economic oppression should be the chief driver of revolution.

In other words, just as in many dictatorships, like the Mubarak regime in Egypt , there can be elections, various freedoms, and many media enterprises.  But the American plutocracy hides in plain sight a false or phantom democracy based on the widespread delusional belief that reforms of government and politics can still be achieved through elections and the equally delusional belief that there is legitimate representative democracy serving public interests.  In sum, Americans have a delusional democracy.  Various corporate interests, especially banks and other financial entities control and manipulate the American system, especially the economy, making its dictatorship far more difficult to discern, oppose and overturn.  Most Americans seem to want to cling to the fiction that they still have a great democracy, which only reveals their stupidity and inability to think critically.  Only continuing widespread economic hardship is likely to pierce the psychological defenses against seeing the ugly truth of American tyranny.

The path to achieving true and deep reforms of the US political and government system must be reframed in terms of Sharp’s methodology rather than through pursuing different candidates and platforms within the two-party plutocracy, where each major party is controlled by corporate and other special interests that make voting and elections the means by which the corporate dictatorship is sustained.

Presidents, administrations and Congresses change, but the mostly invisible elite, corporate powers through smart use of money maintain control to serve their own economic interests.  Power stability is maintained even though there is the appearance of political change.  Unlike places like Egypt and Libya where there are highly visible dictators, in the US there is no such glaringly visible target for revolutions to overthrow.  This makes dissidents and dissatisfied citizens stuck victims that keep trying fruitlessly to get reforms through the dysfunctional political system even when they wage reform campaigns such as the Tea Party movement.  The other tool of the dictatorship is massive distraction perpetrated through myriad entertainment, sports and gambling options, as well as political campaigns, for example.

Those Americans who like me thirst for reforms that restore American democracy should download the free Sharp handbook and study its findings.  Sharp has said “If people are not afraid of the dictatorship, that dictatorship is in big trouble.”  Add this: If people are not aware of the dictatorship, that dictatorship is in great shape.

Social Security and Medicare provide essential supports to tens of millions of retirees and disabled workers. The projections are clear. The financing of Social Security poses no major problem – it is projected to be fully solvent for almost 30 years with no changes whatsoever. Medicare poses a problem only because the private health care system is broken.

Honest people talk about the need to fix the health care system. Less-honest people scream about the need to reform “entitlements.” And, they think that the public somehow should listen to them because of their record of incompetence.

Supposedly responsible news organizations, like the Washington Post and National Public Radio, have gotten in the habit of telling their audiences that we have to cut Social Security and Medicare. The need for cuts in these programs is often put forward as an unquestioned fact, not just in editorials and opinion pieces, but in supposedly objective news stories.

Indiana Deputy Attorney-General: "Use Live Ammunition" Against Wisconsin Protesters ~ link ~ It appears that this fascist nut has been fired, as he damn well should have been!   Stirling

Update: Indianapolis-area TV station WLFI reports that the Indiana deputy attorney general "is no longer employed by the agency." Mother Jones will provide continuing updates and screen captures of the now-defunct blog here.

On Saturday night, when Mother Jones staffers tweeted a report that riot police might soon sweep demonstrators out of the Wisconsin capitol building—something that didn't end up happening—one Twitter user sent out a chilling public response: "Use live ammunition."

From my own Twitter account, I confronted the user, JCCentCom. He tweeted back that the demonstrators were "political enemies" and "thugs" who were "physically threatening legally elected officials." In response to such behavior, he said, "You're damned right I advocate deadly force." He later called me a "typical leftist," adding, "liberals hate police."

Only later did we realize that JCCentCom was a deputy attorney general for the state of Indiana.

Workers Rights: How to Win in Wisconsin and Beyond ~ link ~ The eruption of protests in Madison, Wisconsin against a rabidly anti-union Governor and legislature has become "ground zero" in a fight that, on the surface, appears to be labor unions vs. Republicans.

Digging deeper will reveal a conflict brewing for decades in American society that pits working people in general against an increasingly bold corporate sector. The side that wins the battle in Wisconsin will be empowered and the loser demoralized, affecting the morale of the fighters in the next state that erupts into open conflict.

One way workers in Wisconsin can strengthen their hand is by separating their so-called friends from their real friends. Everybody from President Obama to hordes of Democratic politicians have come out in support of the Wisconsin workers, which is fine. Unacceptable, however, is the motives of many of these politicians, which have hidden dangers for workers across the U.S. who are attempting to mount a defense of their livelihoods.

For example, the Democrats’ sudden pro-labor stance was based on the very specific attack by the Republican Governor in Wisconsin -- the elimination of collective bargaining rights for the various state and other public sector unions; the very foundation of the union's existence.

At the same time, however, Democrats all over the country are cooperating with Republicans in launching a massive attack on the wages and benefits of public employees, scapegoating them for the deficits caused by Wall Street’s recession and the corporate sector in general, the real "base" of the Democrats.

Wisconsin Gov. Walker whacks taxpayers with bill for Wackenhut after illegally asserting powers ~ link ~ The attack on collective bargaining rights is a case of using Austerity Fascism to go after union rights of the working class in America.  That is a old Class Warfare battle.  If all state government employees were fired, it would still not solve the economic mess that America is in due to the deliberate acts of the global banking cartel and their Federal Reserve!  The dispute in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana and other states is bullshit, it is "fighting over re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic" (the dying American Middle Class and economy).  We should be ending the Federal Reserve and throwing lots of Wall Street crooks and banksters into prison for many many years.  Stirling

Robert Burns – 1785
No matter how hard we try, no one can control the future, and we cannot assume the future will be like the present.
Woodrow Wilson signed the law that established the Federal Reserve. He later rightly lamented having done so. He writes, "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." Oh, how right he is, and oh, the mischief the FED has wrought! But establishing the FED must have seemed right to Wilson when he signed the law.

Public debt: Unsustainable and simply unplayable ~ linkPublic debt has become a problem worldwide. What is becoming more and more evident is that it is unsustainable and simply unpayable. It could be compared to a giant Ponzi scheme. We see no meaningful debt reductions thus, government will have to raise taxes, which will further suppress the economy, or people and companies will be forced to buy such bonds, or perhaps pension and retirement funds will be seized to continue the game for a while longer.

Perth Perth is an "ecclesiastical city" because it has a cathedral, but is legally a town.

Scottish political leaders are joining the call for Perth to be made Scotland's seventh city.

On the eve of the release of industry-sponsored figures on the adoption of GM crops globally, the research highlights how even pro-GM governments in South America and the United States have been forced to take steps to mitigate the negative impacts of GM crops on farmers, citizens and the environment. [2]
In South America, the Brazilian Government has launched a GM-free soy programme to help farmers access non-GM soy seeds. In Argentina new research has exposed that the herbicide Glyphosate, used on the majority of GM crops grown worldwide, could have severe negative impacts on human health. [3] This has led to bans on spraying of the herbicide near people’s homes. In Uruguay, local areas are declaring themselves GM-free

Dear Stirling- cheer up, take your seat. Eat some popcorn the final sequence of God’s Wrath is surely to be as such that it would satisfy a good action and scify movie plot.
