Heavy snow grips parts of UK amid fresh warning - with video ~ link ~ Sometimes it is not so great to be correct on a prediction.  Last summer, Dr. Deagle and Dr. Zangari and myself warned that the death of the Loop Current and that effect on the Gulf Stream and North Atlantic Current could begin the onset of a Ice Age or mini-Ice Age.  This winter began about a month early in many parts of Europe and it continues to behave abnormally.  Lets hope and pray that this trend will terminate without the disaster of the Northern Hemisphere slipping into a period of extreme cold.  Stirling

The Met Office issued heavy snow warnings for large parts of Scotland and parts of north-east and eastern England, Wales, Yorkshire and Humber, and the East Midlands.
Forecasters said the cold spell could last a fortnight, with snow reaching England's southern counties next week.

Northern and eastern parts of the UK are expected to bear the brunt of the wintry conditions.
Chris Fawkes, from the BBC Weather Centre, said 5-13cm (2-5in) of snow were expected in low-lying areas later, but places like the North York Moors, which were particularly exposed to the north-east wind, could see falls of up to 20cm.
"Winter has arrived early this year," he said. "This cold snap is probably going to last the best part of a fortnight."

Driving conditions caused problems on the A68 in the Borders

The Met Office later issued a fresh warning of heavy snow for Grampian, the Highlands, Orkney and Shetland, and of widespread icy roads for those three areas as well as Angus, Dundee and the Borders. In the Borders region, Berwickshire and parts of Roxburghshire have seen a significant snowfall overnight, with up to three inches lying in some parts.

Biggest November snowfall in 17 years in UK and more to come ~ link ~ The cause is the Jet Stream, the same cause of the high heat and drought in Russia last summer and the high heat and flooding in Germany, and other parts of Europe and Pakistan as well.  The Jet Stream, which is a current of high speed air, is effected by the North Atlantic Current (its effect on the atmosphere goes up to seven miles high), and the North Atlantic Current has been seriously degraded by the effects from the death and continuing absence of the Loop Current in the Gulf of Mexico.  This is caused by the fact that well over 70% of the oil remains below the surface in the Gulf and the oil breaks down warm water currents in larger bodies of cooler water.  Hence the BP Oil Disaster continues to be effecting the planet's weather patterns in a major way.  Stirling

Sweden & Norway: Fears over a cold winter push up power prices ~ linkElectricity prices are rising sharply, due to a combination of the cold weather and low water levels in hydropower dams. Both Norway and Sweden are affected, reports news agency TT.

On the Norwegian electricity trading exchange Nordpol prices are already up by 40 per cent since last Friday. Prices on this exchange directly effect the bills for customers who have a floating-price deal with a power company. Vattenfall's reservoirs are still at a low level, and all that is falling is snow, rather than rain - and Sigge eriksson says that there will be an even bigger lack of water in the coming weeks.

South Korean Defense Minister resigns over deadly clash - with video ~ link ~ Things are very dangerous on the Korean Peninsula right now.  Let's hope that this crisis passes without any other incident.  The South Koreans will respond with considerable force if there is another event and that could get out of hand very quickly.  Stirling
Tuesday's barrage left two South Korean civilians and two marines dead, and sent regional tensions soaring. South Korea has increased troop numbers on Yeonpyeong and other nearby islands, and announced more rigorous rules of engagement for future incidents.

Mr Kim had been urged to step down by legislators from both governing and opposition parties over his handling of the shelling. In his resignation statement, the minister said he took full responsibility.

North Korean leader and son visited artillery site just hours before attack says report ~ link ~ Is that report true?  It could be, the North Koreans have the nuttiest leaders on earth.  Stirling

South Korea boosts defenses as North warns of more strikes ~ link South Korea said Thursday it would send more troops and guns to frontline islands, as North Korea warned it could follow up this week's deadly shelling with more attacks. Pyongyang's fresh warning came as a US aircraft carrier headed for the tense peninsula to join war games to be staged as a show of force to the nuclear-armed communist state.

The government said Thursday it would revise its rules of engagement, allowing troops to hit back harder if necessary. The attack on Tuesday was the first time the North had shelled a civilian area since the 1950-53 war. It provoked the worst crisis on the peninsula in years, with the international community agonising over how to respond. South Korea and the United States, among others, pressed China to rein in its neighbour.

China airs concern over US-South Korean military drill ~ link ~ CHINA expressed concern on Thursday about joint US-South Korean military exercises in the Yellow Sea while North Korea threatened more attacks on the wealthy South if there are more "provocations."

Seoul said it would increase troops on islands near North Korea following Tuesday’s bombardment of one of its small islands by Pyongyang’s artillery, which has caused a sharp spike in tension in the world’s fastest growing region.

South Korean media reports said Tuesday’s artillery attack was likely personally ordered by reclusive North Korean leader Kim Jong-il. Kim and his son and designated heir, Jong-un, visited the Yellow Sea coastal artillery base from where shells were fired at a South Korean island near the disputed maritime boundary just hours before the attack, newspapers in Seoul said. South Korea’s military was "focusing on the possibility of Kim Jong-il and his son approving the shelling of Yeonpyeong," the Chosun Ilbo quoted an unnamed member of the National Assembly’s Defense Committee as saying. The government declined comment but, if correct, would rule out one theory that the North’s bombardment of Yeonpyeong, just south of the disputed islands was the act of a rogue commander.

Is the US Indirectly Provoking China ~ link ~ On Tuesday 23 November 2010 the South Korean military launched an artillery barrage that saw its shells fall into disputed waters close to North Korea. South Korea does not deny it fired first by firing shells into the disputed waters but says the shelling was ‘away from the north’. The North Koreans had already warned the South Koreans that they would consider such an act as a direct provocation and respond accordingly.

With thousands of miles of coastline to the west, south and east that South Korea could have harmlessly fired its shells from, one needs to ask why South Korea chose to fire them knowingly toward and into disputed waters so close to North Korea. One also needs to ask why South Korea did this just days before a major joint military exercise with the US that includes the USS George Washington carrier strike group.

It is clear that the South Korean opening barrage so close to North Korea was a deliberate attempt to provoke a major incident. It is also apparent that this whole charade of the crisis being a series of spontaneous events instigated by North Korea has in reality been concocted by the US and South Korea in order to deliberately point the finger of blame for the incident at North Korea with a view to escalating the crisis. The presence of the carrier strike group in Korean seas is just an added provocation.

Israeli forces brutally batter 7-year-old Palestinian child ~ linkIsraeli policemen severely battered a Jerusalemite child in Silwan, occupied Jerusalem, on Wednesday night breaking both his arm and leg, his father said.

Mansour Al-Resheq told the Quds media center in the Shaari Tzedek hospital that policemen chased his 7-year-old child Adam and savagely beat him then dragged him on the ground before leaving him in the street bleeding.

For his part, Fakhri Abu Diab, the head of the committee in defense of Silwan land, said that the child was suffering from several fractures and that the doctors were still checking his condition, noting that Adam was still screaming of pain, which pointed to more fractures other than those in the arm and leg.

He denounced the "savage act" on the part of the occupation forces, adding that he could not assimilate the idea of heavily armed soldiers chasing then beating a helpless child and dragging him on the ground.

*UK Metropolitan Police Commissioner predicts more 'disorder' on the streets - with video ~ link ~ The powers that be know the public is going to get 'out-of-hand' in the coming days/weeks/months and are preparing for it.  The global banking cartel intends to destroy the Middle Class and much of the lower Upper Class in the coming months on their road to their New World Order.  Stirling

It said: "In London the heavy handed brutality of the police force denied thousands the right to protest. Police saw fit to kettle students as young as 14 for hours on end in the cold. They were prevented from handing a letter to Nick Clegg. "A Downing Street rally - for which Scotland Yard's permission had been sought and received by the Education Activist Network - was arbitrarily banned at the last minute by the police, who charged the waiting crowd on horseback."

The statement also said that Wednesday's protests "underlined what November 10 had already shown - there is mass, deep-seated and furious opposition to the government's education cuts. "The sheer number of walkouts, protests and marches yesterday, from the smallest school to most of Britain's major cities were too numerous for the media to count."

*Memo to Ireland: "Tell the EU and IMF to Shove It" ~ link ~ Amen to that!  Stirling

This is a black day for Ireland. The Irish people will now face a decade or more of grinding poverty and depression thanks to their venal leaders. As soon as the ink dries on the IMF loans, the second occupation of Ireland will begin, only this time there won't be armored cars and Paramilitaries in fatigues, but nerdy-looking bureaucrats trained in the art of spreading misery. In fact, the loans haven't even been signed yet, and already IMF officials are urging the government to cut jobless benefits and the minimum wage. They're literally champing at the bit. They just can't wait to get their hands on the budget and start slashing away.

And don't believe the hype about European unity or saving Ireland. My ass. This is about bailing out the banks. The bondholders get a free ride while workers get kicked to the curb. Here's a clip from the Financial Times that spells it out in black and white:
"According to data compiled by the Bank of International Settlements, the three largest creditors to the Irish economy at the end of June...were Germany to the tune of €109bn, the UK at €100bn and France at €40bn. These sums amount to 2 per cent of France’s gross domestic product, 4.5 per cent of Germany’s GDP, and 7 per cent of British GDP."
See? Another bank bailout. Ireland is being asked to cut to social services, slash wages, renegotiate contracts, and dismantle the welfare state so that undercapitalized banks in France and Germany can get their pound of flesh. But, why? They're the ones who bought the bonds. No one put a gun to their head. They knew they could lose money if Irish banks went south. That's the risk they took. "You pays your money, and you takes your chances." Right? That's how capitalism works.

Not any more, it doesn't. Not while Cowen's in charge, at least. The Irish PM has decided to bail them out; make all the bondholders "whole again." But who made Cowen God? Who gave Cowen the right to hand over his country to the IMF?

No one. Cowen is a rogue agent kowtowing to international capital. After he finishes his work in Ireland, he'll probably join globalist Tony Blair on the French Riviera for a little hobnobbing with the tuxedo crowd.

It's revealing to watch the way Cowen works, as though the interests of foreign bankers mean more to him than those of his own people. For example, the Green Party withdrew from the government last night calling for new elections, but even though the government is in a shambles, the slippery Taoiseach wants to stay in power long enough to push through a new 4-year budget that will leave Irish workers on the brink of destitution. Who is Cowen working for anyway?

*Battle line of protest ~ link ~ There were growing calls last night for the police to abandon the controversial use of "kettling" as student bodies announced a fresh day of national protests set for next week. Thousands of demonstrators, some of whom were as young as 12, were penned in for up to six hours in near-zero temperatures on Wednesday evening as the Metropolitan Police responded to protesters converging on Whitehall and pockets of violence broke out in places within the crowd.

The calls for a further day of action next Tuesday, which could see more angry clashes in cities around the country, came as Britain's most senior police officer defended the use of kettling and called on the country's forces to prepare for "more disorder on our streets".

Kat Craig of Christian Khan Solicitors, a law firm that is bringing a test case in the European Court of Human Rights on kettling, said the police could face legal action over penning children into a cordon. "The reports of young children and teenagers being kettled for up to five hours in the freezing cold are deeply concerning and likely to be open to legal challenge," she said. "It is widely accepted in both domestic and international law that detention of children must be a last resort and only for the shortest possible period of time.

Next Up: A "Flat Tax: for the Rich ~ link ~ Good article, take the time to read it if you can.  Stirling

The danger the United States faces today is that the government debt crisis scheduled to hit Congress next spring (when Republicans are threatening to vote against raising the federal debt limit as the government deficit soars) will provide an opportunity for the wealthy to give a coup de grace on what is left of progressive taxation in this country. A flat tax on wage income and consumer sales would “free” the rentiers from taxes on their property.

All governments have to levy taxes – that is, they have to tax somebody. Naturally,  the super-rich would like this tax to be shifted off their shoulders onto those who have to work for a living. In diametric opposition to Adam Smith and other putative “founding fathers” of “free market” neoliberalism, the super-rich want to shift taxes off “free lunch” economic rent – off interest, dividends, rents and capital gains – onto wage-earners.

This tax shift already has been underway for the past thirty years. It has doubled the proportion of the returns to wealth (interest, dividends, rents and capital gains) enjoyed by the wealthiest 1 per cent, from a reported one-third in 1979 to an estimated two-thirds of the U.S. total today.
This regressive tax shift off wealth onto wage earners has occurred in three ways.

Menstruating woman subjected to TSA grope because panty-liner obscured her vulva on poroscanner ~ link ~ Your tax dollars at work America!  Stirling

A self-described "rule follower" went through an airport pornoscanner wearing a panty-liner (she was menstruating). Because the hygienic item obscured the screener's view of her vagina vulva, she was made to endure a humiliating fondling, "so invasive that I was left crying and dealing with memories that I thought had been dealt with years ago of prior sexual assaults."

There are plenty of TSA apologists who say that objections to the TSA's invasive "pat-downs" are just whining from people don't want to go through the backscatter radiation machines -- we bring it on ourselves. But as we've seen, anything out of the ordinary -- wearing a fabric pad during menstruation, artificial limbs, medical prostheses, etc -- can send you off for a date with Doctor Jellyfinger, Junior G-Man extraordinaire.

By declaring war on the unexpected, the TSA has set in motion a policy that makes the lives of cancer sufferers, disabled people, people who've had major surgery, and many others who're already having a hard time even harder.

First a Hand on Your Crotch, Next a Boot in Your Face ~ link ~ The reason that I and so very many people have been so opposed and upset by this recent TSA fascist policy is that we know history.  If we do not stop this crap now, like Hitler and Lenin/Stalin did, those in power will expand and expand their police state control over the people and we will be in a total slave-state with high tech being used against us.  We have to act now to avoid that coming nightmare.  Stirling

Endgame Legislation: Lame Duck Session Ushers in Tyranny ~ link ~
When most of us think about "lame duck" Congressional sessions we think of a "do-nothing" government. However, this so-called lame duck session appears to be a time where legislation that has the most restrictions to individual rights is being rammed through.

It seems the members of government who have been recently voted out of office are vying for corporate jobs by pushing such legislation as the Food Safety Modernization Act and the Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act which are now on the fast track to becoming law. Both of these laws reek of tyranny for the citizens and a means of corporate consolidation for the big boys.

This is our Greatest Crime against Ourselves ~ linkDog Poet Transmitting.......
We’ve been waiting and watching for some time. We’ve been traveling through a period of fits and starts that has gone on longer than anyone expected; those of us paying any attention anyway. For the rest of us it’s just been an extended period of ever increasing, restless sleep.

It’s the time of The Apocalypse. I know I say this a lot but it is the most impressive feature of the times in which we live. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about and this is but a portion of the things that are about to be revealed and which are meant to serve as roadmarks and impetus for the awakening of humanity. This is the reason that certain powerful temporal entities are seeking to gain control of the past in order to continue the myth of their assumed status in the present based on a fabricated and fictitious past. At the moment, corrupt politicians are seeking to make it a crime in Canada to even criticize Israel.
