'Secret' Israeli-Turkish meeting UNSUCCESSFUL ~ link ~
Despite a secret meeting between Turkey and Israel, Turkey's demands remain unchanged, according to a Reuters report Thursday.

The meeting between Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Israeli Trade and Industry Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer took place in Brussels on Wednesday.

Turkey wants Israel to apologize for the Flotilla raid, agree to UN inquiry into the incident, pay compensation, and end the blockade of the Gaza Strip in order to mend relations between the two countries.

Israel Iran Attack

Iran gives Syria new radar ~ link ~ link ~ Iran has provided Syria with an advanced radar system which could provide it with early warning of an Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, quoting Israeli and US officials.

According to the report, information gathered by the radar could also be used by Hizbullah to increase its defenses and improve missile accuracy.

UN stops maneuvers in Lebanon ~ link ~

The UN forces in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) have stopped a unilateral maneuver in the wake of mounting protests from the people in the region.

Angry Lebanese on Tuesday blocked roads to UNIFIL troops and their armored vehicles in southern Lebanon in protest to the peacekeeping forces' drills in their villages, a Press TV correspondent reported.

An article in the Lebanese paper al-Safir also said the UNIFIL was holding maneuvers in the region with the aim of protecting the Israeli regime from possible missile attacks from southern Lebanon.

Guess Who Wants to Kill the Internet ~ link ~ There are at least three major efforts to kill Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press via effectively killing the Internet and Lieberman's bill is one of them. He is trash. Keep in mind, folks, that taking away our only avenue to truth in these times is about as bad as taking away our guns. Before they kill most of us, and imprison the rest of us in the high tech police state/New World Order they have to take away our flow if truth/information and our guns.

It would be hard to think of anyone who has done more to undermine American freedoms than Joseph Lieberman.

Since 9/11, the Independent senator from Connecticut has introduced a raft of legislation in the name of the “global war on terror” which has steadily eroded constitutional rights. If the United States looks increasingly like a police state, Senator Lieberman has to take much of the credit for it.

On October 11, 2001, exactly one month after 9/11, Lieberman introduced S. 1534, a bill to establish a Department of Homeland Security. Since then, he has been the main mover behind such draconian legislation as the Protect America Act of 2007, the Enemy Belligerent, Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010, and the proposed Terrorist Expatriation Act, which would revoke the citizenship of Americans suspected of terrorism. And now the senator from Connecticut wants to kill the Internet.

According to the bill he recently proposed in the Senate, the entire global Internet is to be claimed as a “national asset” of the United States. If Congress passes the bill, the US President would be given the power to “kill” the Internet in the event of a “national cyber-emergency.” Supporters of the legislation say this is necessary to prevent a “cyber 9/11” – yet another myth from the fearmongers who brought us tales of “Iraqi WMD” and “Iranian nukes.”

Lieberman has been well rewarded for his patriotism – to another country. In the past six years, he has been the Senate’s top recipient of political contributions from pro-Israel PACs with a staggering $1,226,956.

But what is it that bothers Lieberman so much about the Internet? Could it be that it allows ordinary Americans access to facts, which reveal exactly what kind of “friend” Israel has been to its overgenerous benefactor? Facts, which they have been denied by the pro-Israel mainstream media.

How much faith would American voters have in the likes of Lieberman, who claims that the Jewish state is their greatest ally, if they knew that Israeli agents planted firebombs in American installations in Egypt in 1954 in an attempt to undermine relations between Nasser and the United States; that Israel murdered 34 American servicemen in a deliberate attack on the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967; that Israeli espionage, most notably Jonathan Pollard’s spying, has done tremendous damage to American interests; that five Mossad agents were filming and celebrating as the Twin Towers collapsed on September 11, 2001; that Tel Aviv and its accomplices in Washington were the source of the false pre-war intelligence on Iraq; and about countless other examples of treachery?

In his latest attempt to censor the Internet, does Lieberman really want to protect the American people from imaginary cyber-terrorists? Or is he just trying to protect his treasonous cronies from the American people?

Cybersecurity Measures Will Mandate Government "ID Tokens" To Use The Internet ~ link ~ This is another of the three major efforts to kill the Internet and its free flow of communication and truth.

Cybersecurity Measures Will Mandate Government ID Tokens To Use The Internet internet identity theft

The move to shut down and regulate the Internet under a new government-controlled system has accelerated into high gear with the announcement that the government’s cybersecurity strategy revolves around issuing Internet users with ID “tokens” without which they will not be able to visit websites, the latest salvo against web freedom which, in combination with Senator Joe Lieberman’s ‘kill switch’ bill, will serve to eviscerate the free Internet as we know it.

Under the guise of “cybersecurity,” the government is moving to discredit and shut down the existing Internet infrastructure in the pursuit of a new, centralized, regulated world wide web.

It is important to stress that “cybersecurity” has nothing to do with protecting the infrastructure of the United States and everything to do with taking over the Internet. Cybersecurity is about attacking non-compliant Internet users, not defending against hackers. Non-compliance equates as using the Internet as a political tool to dissent against the policies of the U.S. government. Having already tried and failed in flooding the web with paid disinformation agents, the government is now turning to its only recourse, exploiting hyped or outright staged cyberattacks as an excuse through which to implement an Internet 2 system controlled and regulated solely by the authorities.

ABCBSNBC Lost One Million Viewers Last Quarter ~ link ~ The big three nightly news broadcasts, NBC Nightly, CBS Evening and ABC World, lost a combined one million viewers in the second quarter of 2010, according to TVNewser.

These numbers are not at all surprising in light of the public's continued distrust of the old media. As Newsbusters' Rich Noyes
wrote of a Rasmussen poll released earlier this month, "Perhaps as a result, the poll finds an astonishing two-thirds of the public (66 percent) say they are angry with the media, ‘including 33 percent who are very angry' with the press."

Polls going back to 1997 displayed a continued public distrust with the news media. In a Pew survey, 54 percent of Americans believed that the news media "gets in the way of society solving its problems." In 2006 a CBS poll showed 36 percent of adults had very little confidence in the news media.

TVNewser also reports that the 24 hour channels are also losing viewers, though not at the same rate as evening news programs. (Here, here and here.)

Audit-the-Fed Bill Goes Down 229-198 ~ link ~ This is no surprise. Neither party wants to audit the counterfeiting enterprise that is at the dark heart of the regime. The Republicans voted for it only for partisan reasons. When they are in power, the bill will never even come up. But here is the victory: through this device Ron Paul has added many more people to the vast numbers he has educated on the true nature of the central bank. The only victory that matters is in the hearts and minds of the people; good will never come from the top down. Ron Paul has advanced the cause of truth by a huge margin where it counts: educationally. We are being ripped off through inflation, business cycles, and redistribution, and through the corporatism and wars the Fed makes possible. That is Ron Paul’s lesson, and the reason we must End the Fed. See also his reading list.

Obama wants 'Civilian expeditionary force' ~
link ~ This will be the American 21st Century version of the Nazi 20th Century Brown Shirts or even Black Shirts.

Department of Defense Directive 1404.10, dated January 23, 2009, set up a "Civilian Expeditionary Workforce" that would "be organized, trained, cleared, equipped, and ready to deploy in support of combat operations by the military; contingencies; emergency operations; humanitarian missions; disaster relief; restoration of order; drug interdiction; and stability operations." Also see: Obama calls for 'Civilian Force' as Large as the Military ~ link ~ Wake up people, this is very bad news. Fascism is coming on very fast now!

But in fact the administration has been talking for awhile about dramatically increasing the State Department’s budget to put it roughly on par with the military. Though this would ostensibly be a “civilian” force, the State Department is already looking at acquiring its own military hardware to create its own “combat force” dependent on military contractors.

So having grown the military to a size unprecedented in human history and had its mission grow to include a failed campaign of nation building, the administration may wind up trying to create another, equally large force to take over this nation building campaign, only to fimd that its mission grown to include combat.

Top GOP Congressman: Raise Social Security's retirement age to 70 ~ link ~ I have a better idea, we have a good old fashioned American 'neck-tie party' for crooks that loot America and for those who facilitate it.

A Republican-held Congress might look to raise the retirement age to 70, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) suggested Monday.

Boehner, the top Republican lawmaker in the House, said raising the retirement age by five years, indexing benefits to the rate of inflation and means-testing benefits would make the massive entitlement program more solvent.

America's War: Dereliction Redux: A Call For Integrity ~ link ~
From Obama’s underestimated campaign promise of two combat brigades (now 50,000 troops) to declaring “the right strategy” at West Point, the American people have been fed a steady dose of lies on Afghanistan. Treated with “arrogance” as true leaks were denied. Felt helpless as politicians and generals “lie in the pursuit of self-interest.”

The ultimate result: “abdication of responsibility to the American people,” who suffer duplicity at the military and political level.

All nations and peoples lie and exaggerate to excite their populaces and maintain morale. But fabricating “undue optimism” and imperiling the war is both poor strategy and unacceptable immorality in a democracy. None of these military problems would be so acute if US leadership didn’t cover them up, and that’s where integrity comes in.

Public dishonesty often leads to private dishonesty as politicians struggle to convince themselves of their own ploys. And the damage is most severe when the absence of integrity manifests at the highest strategic level - war objectives. As President Barack Obama transfers his final hope from McChrystal to Petraeus, America still lacks a fundamental goal in Afghanistan.

O’Neill muses how commonsense and simple the idea of integrity is, and how often overlooked. Thus “its importance cannot be emphasized enough.” But it hasn’t been in Washington and if left uncorrected, the void of integrity will systematically annihilate even the best laid military plans.

"Deficit Terrorism" and Economic Warfare - All the Perks are going to Wall Street, while Main Street slips into Debt Slavery ~ link ~ There is a political, military, disaster warfare, and economic based war on humanity being fought now. This is being directed by the tiny global banking families, but ultimately this is a spiritual war by Satan against God.

Wall Street banks have been saved from bankruptcy by governments that are now going bankrupt themselves; but the banks are not returning the favor. Instead, they are engaged in a class war, insisting that the squeezed middle class be even further squeezed to balance over-stressed government budgets. All the perks are going to Wall Street, while Main Street slips into debt slavery. Wall Street needs to be made to pay its fair share, but how?

The financial reform bill agreed to on June 25 may have carved out some protections for consumers, but for Goldman Sachs and the derivatives lobby, the bill was a clear win, leaving the Wall Street gambling business intact. In a June 25 Newsweek article titled “Financial Reform Makes Biggest Banks Stronger,” Michael Hirsh wrote that the bill “effectively anoints the existing banking elite. The bill makes it likely that they will be the future giants of banking as well.”

The federal government and Federal Reserve have advanced literally trillions of dollars to save the big Wall Street players, to the point where the government’s own credit rating is in jeopardy; but Wall Street has not had to pay for the cleanup. Instead, the states and the citizens have been left to pick up the tab. On June 17, Time featured an article by David von Drehle titled “Inside the Dire Financial State of the States,” reporting that most states are now facing persistent budget shortfalls of a sort not seen since the 1930s. Unlike the Wall Street banks, which can borrow at the phenomenally low fed funds rate of .2% and plow that money back into speculation, states don’t have ready access to credit lines. They have to borrow through bond issues, and many states are so close to bankruptcy that their municipal bond ratings are collapsing. Worse, states are not legally allowed to default. Unlike the federal government, which can go into debt indefinitely, states must balance their budgets; and they cannot issue their own currencies. That puts them in the same position as Greece and other debt-strapped European Union countries, which are forbidden under EU rules either to issue their own currencies or to borrow from their own central banks.

States, of course, don’t even have their own state-owned banks, with one exception -- North Dakota . North Dakota is also the only state now sporting a budget surplus, and it has the lowest unemployment and mortgage delinquency rates in the country. As von Drehle observes, “It’s a swell time to be North Dakota .”

MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan: Stock market an 'obviously corrupt' fraud ~ link ~ "Seventy percent of the volume [of trades on the stock market] is computers that are run by the banks playing ping pong with stocks for 10 seconds at at time," Ratigan said.

"The stock market at this point, which used to be a reflection of the future value of actual businesses in this country, has been turned by our government and our banks into little more than a paper shredding facility [about which] we can make up reasons why it goes up and down," Ratigan said. "But when the computers ... at the banks are controlling the action, most everything else is kind of silly."

Ratigan concluded that it's time to create an "alternative investment structure" that would allow people to invest their money without putting it "into the obviously corrupt stock market in this country."

Many market observers say this "games" the entire stock market in favor of the large banks that practice high-frequency trading. Indeed, there is evidence that HFT has made the large investment banks much more profitable. As Ratigan mentioned, HFT is estimated to account for 70 percent of all the trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

Ratigan was referring to the relatively new phenomenon known as high-frequency trading: High-speed computer programs that are able to "peek" at stock trades less than a second before the trades are made. If the computer sees that a trade about to be made will raise the price of a particular stock, it can purchase the stock in the split-second before that trade is made.

US National Debt soars to highest level since WWII ~ link ~ The federal debt will represent 62% of the nation's economy by the end of this year, the highest percentage since just after World War II, according to a long-term budget outlook released today by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.

Baltic Dry Index plunges ~ link ~ link ~
The Baltic Dry Index (BDI), a basket of shipping rates closely watched as a leading indicator of economic growth, has lost over 40 per cent since late May. While the BDI is infamously volatile, the parallel with 2008, when late May turned out to be the peak before a 95 per cent decline that presaged the September banking crisis, is unsettling. Should investors be worried?

Foul play revealed in death of weapons inspector Dr. David Kelly ~ link ~
I bet Phony Tony Blair knows what happened!

In Britain, dramatic new testimony has emerged in the death of UN weapons inspector Dr David Kelly. A female colleague says Kelly couldn’t possibly have committed suicide, because Kelly had a hand and arm injury and was too weak to have cut his own wrist. Kelly was found dead in 2003 after the Government exposed him as the source of a BBC report questioning the Blair government’s case for war in Iraq. Blair appointed Lord Hutton to chair a public inquiry. Hutton concluded Kelly died after slashing his left wrist but his death certificate was officially registered before the Inquiry ended and was not signed by a doctor or coroner and does not state a place of death. To further deepen the mystery, all evidence relating to the post-mortem has been classified for an incredible 70 years. In 2007 it was discovered, through a Freedom of Information request, that Kelly’s suicide knife had no fingerprints on it.

Amid Church Abuse Scandal, an Office that Failed to Act ~ link ~ I am sorry to say, that the majority of people that I have known in my lifetime that have gone to prison have been Catholic priests. That is reflective of two facts: one, I have tried to stay away from certain 'rough' elements; and two, that the Catholic Church as lost its way under Paul VI, John Paul II, and Benedict XVI. They now have approximately half of their clergy who are gay. That is asking for trouble and does not reflect the Church that Jesus established. All we get from the Papacy is hot air. They need to end this mandatory celibacy nonsense, a non-dogmatic 800-year old rule in a almost 2,000-year old institution.
