Top Bullshit of the Week

Top Bullshit of the Week

Pope Benedict XVI: Celibacy remains a "sacred' value for Catholic priests ~ link ~ That is pure theological bullshit and he knows it. We know that at least most of the apostles were married and certainly that St. Peter the first Pope was married as were many popes and countless bishops and priests and deacons for centuries. Any system based on a 900 years old man-made rule in a 2,000 year old Church, that results in tens if not hundreds of thousands of cases of child sex abuse, and a critical shortage of priests, and priests and bishops who are spiritual frauds is a system that needs to be changed.

One can only wonder whose values that Benedict XVI is serving: Christ or the Illuminati who have tried for so long to injure the Church from within.

The Eastern Orthodox have about 90-95% married priests and have almost no cases of child sex abuse by their priests, and they have no great shortage of priests. Further, they don't have priests performing sacrilegious 'clown masses' and the like that we have seen far too often in the modern Catholic Church.

The Pope should be ashame of himself. All he does is talk and act concerned but he has not taken the steps necessary to contain the problem. Catholics should be demanding change and demanding that their bishops start ordaining married men on their own authority, as it is their sacred duty to provide enough priests to serve the faithful, and to provide priests that will NOT attack little boys.

Pope Benedict, I do not write this as your enemy but as a fellow Christian. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are a good Christian and am acting out of your Christian and Papal beliefs and duty. However, this nonsense has gone on far far too long. Something major and dramatic, and most of all meaningful and effective, must be done and done now.

Further, we are in the most serious time in human history as we are about to enter a General Middle Eastern War that is certain to involved Weapons of Mass Destruction with global effect. The war is highly likely to become the Third World War. We are also currently in a new Global Economic Depression that will become massively worst the moment a major general war breaks out with Iran/Syria/Lebanon/Israel/USA.

We are also in a time of gross immorality. We need good priests now, in much greater numbers. We need you to do something dramatic and meaningful by ending the Rule of Celibacy with regards to the priests and bishops of the Western Rite of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. Many dioceses have a significant number of ordained married deacons, the vast majority of which could be ordained, even within days, to the priesthood. Other qualified married men could be placed on special training programs for Holy Orders in the future.

As Pope of these times, you do not have the luxury of a slowness or worst yet, a failure to adapt to these times and the most serious immoral conditions within the Church. You need to act NOW or abdicate (and retire to your music) and let someone else, who is ready to lead, take the Throne of Saint Peter.

Pope meets German bishop over sex abuse scandal ~ link ~ The tidal wave of scandals over predator priests and teachers has now engulfed 19 of Germany's 27 dioceses and are among several to have rocked the Catholic Church lately, notably in Ireland last year, and now Austria and The Netherlands as well.

Pope Benedict XVI is 'shocked' to hear of abuse case in Munic while he was Archbishop there ~ link ~ Pope Benedict XVI has for the first time been drawn into the Catholic sex abuse scandal in his home country of Germany.

His former archdiocese of Munich has acknowledged that, while he was in charge, it dealt with a suspected paedophile priest by transferring him to a different parish where he went on to commit sex offences against children. The revelation has drawn attention to Benedict's handling of abuse claims, both when archbishop and later as a prefect of the Vatican office dealing with such crimes, a position he held until becoming pope in 2005.

Last night, a Vatican spokesman stated that it was the Munich vicar-general who had approved the transfer and he took "full responsibility", while the Munich archdiocese said Benedict did not know about the transfer. However, an American charity expressed disbelief. "We find it extraordinarily hard to believe that Ratzinger didn't reassign the predator, or know about the reassignment," said Barbara Blaine, of Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests.

Benedict's involvement 'shows extent of cover-ups' ~ link ~ Irish victims of clerical sex abuse said the involvement of Pope Benedict XVI in covering up for paedophile priests showed that the practice was endemic within the Catholic Church and said he should now consider his own position.

Andrew Madden, who was abused by a priest in the Dublin Archdiocese, said it appeared the Pope was doing the same thing as the archbishops of Dublin going back to John Charles McQuaid by not reporting clerics to the civil authorities.

Pope Benedict's pastoral letter to Irish Catholics is on course, in spite of calls for the pontiff to delay it until after Easter to take account of the clerical child abuse scandals in Germany, Holland and Austria.

In Rome, German Cardinal Walter Kaspar, President of the Pontifical Council for Promotion of Christian Unity, suggested a delay when said the papal letter required "a much more general analysis" than merely the Irish situation.

Pope will struggle to survive abuse scandal ~ link ~ (From the Independent of Dublin, Ireland) A depressing week for Pope Benedict dramatically escalated last night into an unprecedented papal crisis when he was directly implicated in a cover-up of a German paedophile priest when he was Cardinal Archbishop of Munich 30 years ago.

The latest revelations are so potentially damaging to the reputation of then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger that speculation was mounting last night that they could severely, perhaps even irreparably, damage his moral authority as Pope Benedict XVI.

It was being speculated that the German Pope could conceivably have to recognise that his position as supreme pontiff could become untenable -- and do what was until now considered impossible, resign from the Petrine throne.

Child abuse claims sweep Catholic Church in Europe ~ link ~ It may come down to the only way that the Pope can hope to keep his position is to abolish celibacy and do so quickly.

Top Swiss Benedictine Abbot reports that 60 people are victims of sex abuse by Catholic priests in Switzerland ~ link ~ Let me tell you something of this. The Abbot is Abbot Martin Werlen of the Swiss Benedictine Abbey of Einsiedeln. This Abbey is the Mother Abbey of Saint Meinrad Archabbey in Southern Indiana. I studied two years plus at this Archabbey's School of Theology after my wife died, studying to become a Catholic deacon. St. Meinrad School of Theology taught the classes mostly in Evansville. The place is known for many gay students and facility. The Abbey Church there has a relatively new interior with a very expensive imported marble floor. The trouble is the floor has many "Stars of David" throughout the Church, including a so-called "Star of David" that the main altar sits over. Now the Star of David (according to the Jewish Encyclopedia) is nothing that the historic King David would ever had known. It is a occult demonic sign that was adopted by the international Zionist movement in the late 1800s. It was the symbol over the door to the Rothschild gold trading business, from which the Rothschilds took their current name "Rothschild". It was a red six-pointed star on a black background. This is a high satanic symbol: It is a perfect triangle (which represents the Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) with another triangle turned upside down upon the first one. Where the triangle has three points and represents 333 the 'number of God', the six-pointed so-called "Star of David" represents 666 the 'number of the beast" (the Antichrist of the Book of Revelations).

Central to this whole thing of priestly child sex abuse is the fact that child sex abuse is a key satanic ritual. Many priests and bishops into child sex abuse are in reality satanists! Further, this attack on the Church is tied into what is happening globally in the political, economic, military and spiritual areas - with the spiritual battle being the most important and 'highest' level of what is happening now at this the apex of the post-Adam & Eve Age, just prior to the Final Battle and the return of Jesus Christ Himself.

There are many serious people in the Catholic Church who believe that the Church did not release the full Third Secret of Fatima. That the real full Third Secret, given by Mary the Mother of Jesus, warned of a coming apostasy in the Church including at the highest levels. Events seem to be supporting these beliefs.

Chief Catholic Exorcist in Rome: Satan is active in the heart of the Church ~ link ~ You have to go back to 1972 to find a Pope offering any detailed reflection on Satan. Paul VI described him as 'not merely a lack of something, but an effective agent, a living spiritual being, perverted and perverting'.

So the remarks by 85-year-old Father Gabriele Amorth, for decades the chief exorcist in Rome, have taken many by surprise. Far from being superstitious medieval nonsense, Amorth has said in promoting his new book, Memoirs of An Exorcist, the Devil is 'lodging in the Vatican' and can be seen in the activities of paedophile priests, over-ambitious clerics and 'cardinals who don't believe in Jesus'.

Pope knew priest was pedophile but allowed him to continue with ministry ~ link ~ The Pope was drawn directly into the Roman Catholic sex abuse scandal last night as news emerged of his part in a decision to send a paedophile priest for therapy. The cleric went on to reoffend and was convicted of child abuse but continues to work as a priest in Upper Bavaria.

The priest was sent from Essen to Munich for therapy in 1980 when he was accused of forcing an 11-year-old boy to perform oral sex. The archdiocese confirmed that the Pope, who was then a cardinal, had approved a decision to accommodate the priest in a rectory while the therapy took place.

Pope 'led cover-up of child abuse by priests' ~ link ~ In 2001, while he was a cardinal, he issued a secret Vatican edict to Catholic bishops all over the world, instructing them to put the Church's interests ahead of child safety.

The document recommended that rather than reporting sexual abuse to the relevant legal authorities, bishops should encourage the victim, witnesses and perpetrator not to talk about it. And, to keep victims quiet, it threatened that if they repeat the allegations they would be excommunicated.

Before being elected as Pope Benedict XVI in April last year, the pontiff was Cardinal Thomas Ratzinger who had, for 24 years, been the head of the powerful Congregation of the Doctrine of The Faith, the department of the Roman Catholic Church charged with promoting Catholic teachings on morals and matters of faith. An arch-Conservative, he was regarded as the 'enforcer' of Pope John Paul II in cracking down on liberal challenges to traditional Catholic teachings.

Five years ago he sent out an updated version of the notorious 1962 Vatican document Crimen Sollicitationis - Latin for The Crime of Solicitation - which laid down the Vatican's strict instructions on covering up sexual scandal. It was regarded as so secret that it came with instructions that bishops had to keep it locked in a safe at all times.

Irish bookmaker slashes odds on Pope's resignation from 12 to 1 to 3 to 1 ~ link ~ There are very few examples of clear Papal resignations down through the centuries. Pope Celestine V who abdicated in 1294, and Pope Gregory XII who stepped down in 1415 are the best-known examples.

Br. Anthony, T.O.S.F. said...

I agree with the pope in that celibacy is vital for the life of a priest who truly wants to sacrifice his life to God for his flock. Celibacy must remain in the priesthood. The proof - just look at the married ministers in various denominations - they are even more perverted. The issue of priest abuse has NOTHING to do with celibacy. Rather, it has to do with the attitude of priests who infiltrated the Church to destroy Her from within.

"The proof - just look at the married ministers in various denominations - they are even more perverted". What planet are you from?

You need to do a serious look at your reasoning. Attacking a child is just below murder in my book.

You are not dealing with the realities of this crisis. The numbers and percentages of priests who are homosexual, as well as the smaller number who are interested in children, is simply way too large. It has become institutional in nature. To end that, we have to have a radical step. Your refusal to move away from a late Dark Ages man-made rule in spite of the great immorality being done day in and day out by priests is unexceptionable from any reasonable moral perspective.
